Apartment in Benalmadena Costa, Costa del Sol, Spain - Overlooks Pool and Mountains, 5 minutes walk to Beach

Situated in lovely quiet, clean and tidy complex with parking. Our apartment is situated on the 3rd floor with patio doors leading from bedroom and lounge to a corner balcony overlooking mountains and pool. Fully fitted kitchen fridge/oven, iron/ironing board and all linen supplied. Full size bath/shower, marble floors, fitted spacious wardrobes. 5 minutes to beach and amenities, 15 minutes from Malaga airport - taxi approx 25 euros. Benalmadena has a stunning marina, water parks, theme park, cable car rides, frequent buses to Torremolinos or Fuengirola market and the Zoo. Or try a trip to Mijas mountain village, which has donkey rides and a good selection of shops. Surrounding golf courses. Lots of coach trips to various places such as Rhonda, Granada etc.

We are a middle aged couple with 2 grown up children. We have been holidaying in our apartment since we purchased it in 2007 and absolutely love the place.

We bought this property for a number of reasons. It is a good size apartment and there is plenty of space. The location is fabulous, situated in a quiet road but near enough to all bars, restaurants,marina and beaches.

Activity and Interests

Nearest Airport : Malaga at 15.5 Kilometres Car: not necessary

Benalmadena and surrounding area has lots of places of interest to visit, Paloma Park has a large lake with various animals of interest. Rabbits and chickens run free, along with some caged goats, lama's and ostrich's. There is a cactus garden, library, childrens play areas and 2 cafe bars

The Marina is a must place to visit with beautiful restaurants and bars, you can walk around and look at the magnificent boats berthed there or take a boat trip to see the dolphins.

The town of Arroya de Miel is a lovely town within walking distance of the apartment and is buzzing with shops, bars and eating places. It is a bustling town on a Friday - it's market day where you can grab some bargains.


It's only a 5/10 minute walk to one of the many beaches and the Marina. The beaches are clean with chiringuitos dotted along them for you to have lunch or just have a glass of wine whilst watching the world go by. You can walk along the promenade through Carihuela to the old town of Torremolinos passing a variety of shops and restaurants along the way.


Malaga airport is about 15 minutes from our apartment. Taxi's should cost around 25 euros each way but I can give you a contact name and e-mail address to arrange transport prior to departing the UK, he is English and very reliable. There is a train station from Malaga to Pinillo station, a 15 mins walk to our apartment.


Benalmadena coast road is 2 minutes at the end of our road. Good bus services to take you to nearby towns ie Mijas, Torremolinos, Fuengirola & Marbella. You can also catch the bus here to the waterpark in Torremolinos. Organinsed excursions also depart from here, outside the tourist information centre.

Further Details:

Lots of restaurants and bars within the vicinity, also ATMs, money exchange (Reubens is the best place to exchange your money) shops and internet cafe, There is a supermarket within a 5/10 minute stroll and also a variety of shops. You can walk into the town Arroya de Miel, this takes approx 20/25 minute stroll.

Changeover Day:
Changeover days are flexible. All guests are required to vacate the apartment by 12 noon on the day of departure. The apartment will be ready for incoming guests at 2pm.The prices are per 2 guests, please add an additional £15 per week per extra person

A £75 deposit is required at the time of booking. Balance is due 6 weeks prior to travel and keys will be posted within 7/10 days of your departure. Prices are for 2 guests please add £15pp per week for additional guests (2 extra guests allowed). Due to increasing costs if you pay by paypal using a credit card there will be an additional charge of 2% to be added to your final payment.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund for cancellations more than 7 days before check-in date.
  • 100% refund for cancellations more than 14 days before check-in date.

From the Owner

The views from the terrace are nice. One side of the balcony overlooks the swimming pool and the other side overlooks the mountains where you can watch the sun set in the evening. There are 2 blocks in the complex and the swimming pool is situated in the middle of the blocks

  • Outside: The terrace has 4 chairs and a table. The terrace has both sun and shade in the morning and again from late afternoon until sunset in the main summer months. There is a shared pool. Lawned gardens surround the pool. I have sunchairs that can be taken to the pool area. Showers and toilets are available in the pool area. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All bath towels and linen is supplied. Beach towels not provided. Property cleaned before and at end of stay. Other: The patio doors and lounge window have roller shutters. We have our own entrance gate to the apartment which makes it even more secure.
