Located in Fuengirola town close to the superb Moorish Castle and just 400 metres (5 minutes on foot) from the widest and best beach in town, this is a beautiful, private, 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom property with fabulous panoramic sea views, private 32m2 pool (8 metres by 4 metres) and beautiful mature private gardens, 5 lovely terraces, fabulous brick and granite-built gas-fired barbecue, all main UK TV channels, own private free WiFi and air-conditioning in all of the bedrooms. The Villa is located in a small cul de sac just 7 minutes walk (600 metres) from the main shopping centre and largest supermarket in town. The property is open-plan, split-level, very airy and light, boasting high wood-beamed ceilings, air-conditioning in all of the bedrooms, underfloor heating, huge windows and French doors. From the lounge there is a beautiful large sea-facing terrace with panoramic sea views and a retractable overhead awning so is a perfect spot for sun-bathing, dining and relaxing. The lower garden, porch/terrace and pool area are reminiscent of Balinese style with wood-effect tiling, natural stone and marble. There are 5 terraced areas around the villa providing plenty of separate space to do your own thing. Fully furnished & equipped, Villa Blanca is 25 kms or less from Malaga, Marbella, Puerto Banus, Torremolinos, many golf courses, Mijas race course, 2 aqua parks, Tivoli World amusement park and many other fun places/activities. Fuengirola has hundreds of bars, restaurants, night clubs/discos, boutiques etc.

Sky TV 'free to air' channels are no longer available in Spain via the Sky satellite but the Villa now boasts all four BBC and all four ITV channels, Channel 4 and 5, E4, Cbeebies, CBBC and many more channels via a very good cellular WiFi internet connection.

The location, size, standard and range of amenities of this property are close to unbeatable in Fuengirola, especially at the competitive weekly rates charged. About David Greene

I am a British Chartered Accountant and I came to live and work in Spain in 1998 after a long-ish career in auditing and then corporate finance. On arriving in Spain, as a complete change of lifestyle, I opened a very successful French restaurant which I later sold very well. I then owned and ran a small, successful real estate office but closed it when the property market went quiet here in 2007. I speak fluent French and an improving Spanish too. I have been advertising here since 2007.

I am a friendly and approachable guy and I want to make sure that my guests are happy with everything and, thankfully, I seem to succeed in that. I expect high standards when I go on holiday and I always assume that my guests expect the same from me.

Why David Greene chose Fuengirola

I bought Villa Blanca because of its fabulously original interior layout and very high ceilings as well as the excellent panoramic sea views. Another factor was the location at the very nice West end of Fuengirola so close to the beach and so many facilities including restaurants, bars, the Myramar shopping mall etc...perfect.

I completely renovated the Villa in 2004 and, in 2006, I extended it significantly and installed a super private pool of 32 m2. In 2015, I added a super brick and granite built gas-fired barbecue which is a big hit with guests. Many of my guests have said that the photos do not do the Villa justice especially the sea views, interior and the beautiful garden.

It is not necessary to hire a car as all you need is accessible within walking distance. However, the Villa is also ideally located as a central point to visit so many places of interest, sports and other facilities, shops, and other towns.

What makes this villa unique

I think that the unique benefits of Villa Blanca can be summarised as follows. If anyone contemplating a self-catering Villa holiday makes up a list of all of the criteria they are seeking (eg spacious, luxurious, private exclusive use of the facilities, fully-equipped, all main UK TV Channels, fast WiFi signal, air-conditioning in all bedrooms, BBQ, walking distance to beach, shops, bars restaurants, etc, super sea views, private pool, loads of local amenities, excellent transport links, close to airport, fair-pricing etc etc) then Villa Blanca is one of very very few that can tick all of these boxes.

Notes:
Notes on accommodation: Relevant for winter, there is underfloor heating in the lounge and master bedroom and bathroom. In the dining area and all of the other bedrooms there is heating and air-conditioning. The pool is not deep - about 145cm or 4 ft 9in with no deep end, so it is ideal for children but deep enough for all to swim in. However, as a simple safety precaution we ask that adults do not allow children to use the pool without supervision. The garden and pool will need to be maintained at all times and we would ask you please to understand that we will need to access these areas during your stay to ensure your continued enjoyment. We will of course respect your privacy and be as quick and discreet as possible. Outside: The private pool is 8m x 4m and 1.45m deep. Outdoor furniture includes a dining table and chairs and a separate table with benches. There are 6 sun loungers and a superb brick and granite built gas-fired BBQ. Around the villa there are 6 distinct terraces/patios giving everyone their own bit of private space when desired. There are sea views from most of the garden and terraces including the pool area. The garden is quite private and most of it is not overlooked. There are lots of flowers and plants typical of the region including some beautiful bougainvilleas as well as a good variety of roses, palmeras and jasmine. Utility Room: Laundry room with washing machine and tumble dryer to rear of kitchen. Plenty of cupboard space and double sink. Cleaning / Towels / Linen: Fresh bed linen and towels are provided at the beginning of your stay but also changed weekly if you are staying two weeks or more. You may of course, if you prefer, use the washing machine and other facilities to do your own laundry.

Simply the best for home from home comfort

This villa is simply one of the best we have ever stayed in, unanimously agreed by all 5 ladies who stayed here in May. From first contact with David via homeaway, through booking process, payments, answers to queries we had, arriving, welcome by David personally, we could not have had better service. Everything in the description of the property and the superb reviews we had read were so true. We loved the space the villa afforded us and the pool area with sunbeds, towels all provided were a bonus. Eating and sitting areas around the villa both outside and inside were spacious and there were even little hideaways to sit if you wanted privacy from the revelling. We ate breakfast al fresco every day, the sun shining onto the terraces all around the villa, though there is shade under canopies if you require it. The villa is superbly maintained, both inside and out, pool and garden was tended every couple of days without being intrusive. The location is exactly as described 10 mins easy walk down to large supermarket/shopping centre, taxi back is cheap enough at approx 5 euros with the heavy bags and well worth it so as not to break the bottles of champagne, prosecco (though called Cava in Spain) ha ha. The views from the villa look out over the ocean, which again is an easy walk away, down hill (access over the main road is via a walk-bridge) and you are on the beach front in less than 10 minutes. Fuengirola itself proved to be a lovely welcoming town, loads of restaurants and bars, either offering menus of the day for 15 euros (3 courses) or very reasonable priced meals and excellent quality, especially the seafood. We never had a bad meal and ate at varying eateries during the week we were there. The bars also offer a variety of drinks, at reasonable prices, especially the "Cava" and gin. Late night entertainment was found in the POGS Irish pub with live music every night during our stay.

But the villa itself was a gem of a find, and David, Rosemary and the gardener (apols I cant remember his name but so helpful) were all so friendly, helpful and accommodating, we cannot praise nor thank them enough for making our stay special. We will definitely be back to the villa and Fuengirola soon. I can recommend anyone to try this property from familes with young children, friends, the only thing is it wouldn't suit wheelchair users or anyone unable to go up and down steps.

Lovely Villa, nice quiet location but within walking distance of bars, restaurants etc

As per the title, we had a lovely stay, the villa was nice with all necessary amenities, the walk to the main town via the bridge across the main road was easy and there is a vast selection of bars, restaurants and shops. We ate at various, and they were all good, especially the Coriander.

We would go back for sure!

Lovely Villa in Fuengirola

We booked for a family of 6 (3 x couples) for Christmas and the New Year period. Its about a 20 minute taxi ride from Malaga airport. The villa is in a great location just up from the town to one side and the beach to the other. We walked to town or the beach everyday, its about 10 mins walk and is up or down hills but nothing too strenuous. The view from the front terrace was fab - sat watching the dolphins going past in the afternoons was amazing. There is plenty of room for everyone to have their own space if need be, bedrooms are a good size too and the villa was very well equipped with everything you could need including wifi and UK TV. We loved the beautiful well kept gardens and the pool - would be great to use in the summer months. We did have a minor issue with the hot water but it was resolved within hours by the lovely Miguel. We tried many of the local restaurants and bars. Our favourites were Coriander Indian and Pad Thai - both exceptional food and very reasonable costs. There was lots to do in Fuengirola, we found our way around really easily, the Castle, the Bio park, we even went on the zip wire across the river. If you prefer shopping there is a very large shopping center about 10 mins walk away. We walked everywhere as we deliberately didn't hire a car. Baldamena is a short train ride away and the cable cars to the top of the mountain are a must do. We would definitely recommend a stay at this villa.

Beautiful Villa Blanca

Just back from a week at Villa Blanca, have always wanted to holiday in a Villa and this was our first experience, for us any other villa will find it hard to live up to Villa Blanca.

David met us to show us round and we felt at home straight away, looking through the gate I couldn’t wait to get in.

A beautiful place with lots of levels, lots of outside space and seating, well equipped with everything you need, lovely furniture and decor. We were a group of four but even with six you have plenty of space and places to be alone if you want.

A short walk to the beach, supermarket, restaurants and Fuengirola

We didn’t want to leave and can’t wait to go back.

Villa Blanca Villa

Had an amazing stay at Villa Blanca, our first stay in any villa in this area which we have visited often.

Our first impression was that it was a very warm and welcoming 'home away from home' villa which is exactly what we wanted. Somewhere to relax, not overlooked, with views and facilities to match that perfect holiday home. We were met by David who showed us around. Very honest and open man who shared his passion for the place. We loved the fact that there were numerous places around the villa which you could sit and relax. In fact you could have dinner /breakfast in a difference place each night if you chose. We stayed with friends and the size of the place allowed for us to have our own personal space in addition to shared places without feeling in each others way. The villa is set on levels, the kitchen/dining area at the top, followed by the lounge with another dining area, then on to the lower floors where the bedrooms and access to the garden and pool were. On each level there are terraces to walk out onto.

We had fresh bedding and towels laid out and everything else except food was available from bin bags to swimming pool floats.

David was easy to get hold of (although we didn't need to) the paperwork was precise (although a little daunting at first) The weather and views were spectacular and very close to large shopping centres with activities and to Fuengirola town.

We definitely want to stay again.

Coast/Beach:

The best beach in town is just 400 metres on foot from Villa Blanca which is a 3 or 4 minute walk. There are no major roads to be crossed to get there because there is a very convenient foot bridge over the coastal road some 200m from the property. The beach here is very wide, made of golden sand, and popular and there are a number of bars and restaurants as well as the IPV (formerly Beatriz) Palace hotel.

Travel:

Malaga airport is 20 kms i.e. 20 minutes drive away from the Villa. From the airport, one can take a taxi to the Villa or the train which goes to the Centre of Fuengirola. Marbella is also 20km away in the other direction. The beautiful mountain pueblo of Mijas is just 5 kms inland, Gibraltar is some 110 kms and Puerto Banus some 25kms. There are many other super places to visit including the City of Malaga (20 kms), Ronda (70 kms), Tarifa (120kms), Granada, Antequera, Cordoba, El Chorro lakes,

Distances:

The Villa is located at the west end of Fuengirola. The town's pedestrian beach-front promenade is approximately 350 metres away, about 3 minutes on foot.

Further Details:

The new Myramar centre is located within a 6-7 minute walk (about 700 metres) from the villa and comprises Fuengirola's largest supermarket (Eroski) and several dozen independent shops and boutiques selling clothes, jewellery, furniture, toys, electrical and many others. The shopping centre also has its own multi-screen cinema and a selection of restaurants and fast food outlets.

The minimum rental charge is for one week. However, in the off-peak period from November to March, a lower rate for periods shorter than a week is possible. From November to April, discounts are available for longer stays of more than two weeks. Please feel free to ask the owner for a price.

To secure a booking, a deposit of 25% is required. The balance of rental is payable 8 weeks before arrival along with a refundable damages deposit of £250 To book, please contact the owner stating desired dates, size & composition of group (family, friends, couples etc & ages of any children). For weeks that overlap a month end, prices are pro-rated to the number of days falling in each month.

Changeover Day:
Changeover days are flexible except in the period from May to September, when we only take bookings starting and ending on Saturdays. Arrival time is from 15.00 hours and departure time is 10.00 hours.
