Located in Fuengirola town close to the superb Moorish Castle and just 400 metres (5 minutes on foot) from the widest and best beach in town, this is a beautiful, private, 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom property with fabulous panoramic sea views, private 32m2 pool (8 metres by 4 metres) and beautiful mature private gardens, 5 lovely terraces, fabulous brick and granite-built gas-fired barbecue, all main UK TV channels, own private WiFi and air-conditioning in all of the bedrooms. The Villa is located in a small cul de sac just 7 minutes walk (600 metres) from the main shopping centre and largest supermarket in town. The property is open-plan, split-level, very airy and light, boasting high wood-beamed ceilings, air-conditioning in all of the bedrooms, underfloor heating, huge windows and French doors. From the lounge there is a beautiful large sea-facing terrace with panoramic sea views and a retractable overhead awning so is a perfect spot for sun-bathing, dining and relaxing. The lower garden, porch/terrace and pool area are reminiscent of Balinese style with wood-effect tiling, natural stone and marble. There are 5 terraced areas around the villa providing plenty of separate space to do your own thing. Fully furnished & equipped, Villa Blanca is 25 kms or less from Malaga, Marbella, Puerto Banus, Torremolinos, many golf courses, Mijas race course, 2 aqua parks, Tivoli World amusement park and many other fun places/activities. Fuengirola has hundreds of bars, restaurants, night clubs/discos, boutiques etc.

Sky TV 'free to air' channels are no longer available in Spain via the Sky satellite but the Villa now boasts all four BBC and all four ITV channels, Channel 4 and 5, E4, Cbeebies, CBBC and many more channels via a very good cellular WiFi internet connection.

The location, size, standard and range of amenities of this property are close to unbeatable in Fuengirola, especially at the competitive weekly rates charged. About David Greene

I am a British Chartered Accountant and I came to live and work in Spain in 1998 after a long-ish career in auditing and then corporate finance. On arriving in Spain, as a complete change of lifestyle, I opened a very successful French restaurant which I later sold very well. I then owned and ran a small, successful real estate office but closed it when the property market went quiet here in 2007. I speak fluent French and an improving Spanish too. I have been advertising here since 2007.

I am a friendly and approachable guy and I want to make sure that my guests are happy with everything and, thankfully, I seem to succeed in that. I expect high standards when I go on holiday and I always assume that my guests expect the same from me.

Why David Greene chose West Costa del Sol

I bought Villa Blanca because of its fabulously original interior layout and very high ceilings as well as the excellent panoramic sea views. Another factor was the location at the very nice West end of Fuengirola so close to the beach and so many facilities including restaurants, bars, the Myramar shopping mall etc...perfect.

I completely renovated the Villa in 2004 and, in 2006, I extended it significantly and installed a super private pool of 32 m2. In 2015, I added a super brick and granite built gas-fired barbecue which is a big hit with guests. Many of my guests have said that the photos do not do the Villa justice especially the sea views, interior and the beautiful garden.

It is not necessary to hire a car as all you need is accessible within walking distance. However, the Villa is also ideally located as a central point to visit so many places of interest, sports and other facilities, shops, and other towns.

What makes this villa unique

I think that the unique benefits of Villa Blanca can be summarised as follows. If anyone contemplating a self-catering Villa holiday makes up a list of all of the criteria they are seeking (eg spacious, luxurious, private exclusive use of the facilities, fully-equipped, all main UK TV Channels, fast WiFi signal, air-conditioning in all bedrooms, BBQ, walking distance to beach, shops, bars restaurants, etc, super sea views, private pool, loads of local amenities, excellent transport links, close to airport, fair-pricing etc etc) then Villa Blanca is one of very very few that can tick all of these boxes.

Notes on accommodation: Relevant for winter, there is underfloor heating in the lounge and master bedroom and bathroom. In the dining area and all of the other bedrooms there is heating and air-conditioning. The pool is not deep - about 145cm or 4 ft 9in with no deep end, so it is ideal for children but deep enough for all to swim in. However, as a simple safety precaution we ask that adults do not allow children to use the pool without supervision. The garden and pool will need to be maintained at all times and we would ask you please to understand that we will need to access these areas during your stay to ensure your continued enjoyment. We will of course respect your privacy and be as quick and discreet as possible. Outside: The private pool is 8m x 4m and 1.45m deep. Outdoor furniture includes a dining table and chairs and a separate table with benches. There are 6 sun loungers and a superb brick and granite built gas-fired BBQ. Around the villa there are 6 distinct terraces/patios giving everyone their own bit of private space when desired. There are sea views from most of the garden and terraces including the pool area. The garden is quite private and most of it is not overlooked. There are lots of flowers and plants typical of the region including some beautiful bougainvilleas as well as a good variety of roses, palmeras and jasmine. Utility Room: Laundry room with washing machine and tumble dryer to rear of kitchen. Plenty of cupboard space and double sink. Cleaning / Towels / Linen: Fresh bed linen and towels are provided at the beginning of your stay but also changed weekly if you are staying two weeks or more. You may of course, if you prefer, use the washing machine and other facilities to do your own laundry.

Great holiday in a super villa

We had a lovely holiday in Villa Blanca in July. We were a party of 6; 2 grandparents, 2 parents and 2 young children. The layout of the villa was perfect for us; with the parents and the children in the adjacent bedrooms and the grandparents in the bedroom leading out to pool! The villa was exactly as described and had everything we required; we particularly enjoyed the outdoor spaces and the children loved the pool!

The villa is close to the main amenities, with the Mirimar Shopping Mall about 10 minutes walk away and the beach is even closer!

David was an excellent host and met us on arrival to give us a conducted tour of the villa and advice on the use of the appliances including the a/c units!

This villa will be the first one we enquire about if we return to the same area in the future!

Lovely & Relaxing

Villa Blanca is a lovely, light and airy villa. It is clean & tidy and the kitchen is well equipped. David, the owner, is friendly and was very helpful when we needed help. Local shops and the beach are close by. The beach is extremely clean and there are plenty of shops and restaurants along the front to choose from. From the villa, there is a lovely sea view and a view of the castle which is illuminated at night. We actually heard all of the Beach boys concert one night as they were playing at the castle. We particularly liked the retractable canopy on the balcony which was necessary as it was hot. The pool was lovely and welcoming, especially after a day out! We enjoyed our holiday very much and would recommend it and indeed return one day.

Lovely Villa with beautiful sea views

We were a party of four adults and stayed in this lovely Villa for a week at the beginning of June

It had everything that we could have wished for, the layout was excellent, with beautiful sea views from the wonderful terrace leading off the lounge.

We had a little niggle when we arrived on the Saturday as there was no awning over the terrace and the weather was really hot all week there were no parasols either... David the owner was very apologetic,the awning had been ordered in April and he had been told it would be fitted at the end of May but it had not arrived.He got in touch with the company that were supplying it on Monday ant it was fitted on the Tuesday. It made such a difference, it was lovely sitting out there enjoying the views of the sea and the castle

The Villa is very tastefully decorated,The garden and pool area are beautiful, there are lots of seating areas, including a BBQ. We did not use the BBQ though as we went out for meals.

We do not think the Villa would be suitable for a toddler, as the garden had quite a few levels with lots of steps, lovely for adults and older children but it would be a worry with little ones as they could take a nasty tumble down the steps

The Villa is very central, about ten minutes walk from the shopping mall, which had a very good selection of shops, restaurants/cafes an enormous Carrefour supermarket and a cinema,

The beach was about a ten minute walk, over a bridge {no road to cross) with lots of restaurants along the sea front..

We would certainly recommend the Villa, we had a wonderful relaxing holiday, just what we wanted. David and his staff were very pleasant and the gardener was a lovely man, he was so helpful in recommending a local hotel where we could leave our cases after checking out at 10 a.m and our flight was not until the evening.

Owner's Response: Thank you Ruth for your detailed review including the saga of the awning. After many years of buying new replacement parasols due to damage caused by leaving them open, I decided to have a permanent retractable awning fitted in April this year 2017. Unfortunately, for reasons that the supplier may know, this was not finally installed until Ruth and her family had arrived. I sincerely apologise once again Ruth for this inconvenience. I have now posted a couple of photos on this site showing the awning which does indeed greatly enhance the enjoyment of the terrace and the panoramic sea views from it. I do not agree with Ruth's comments about suitability for toddlers. The majority of toddlers live in homes with stairs and the fact that Villa Blanca has stairs too simply means that parental surveillance is required in the usual way at my property too. Many of my guests are families with young children and toddlers. The beach is 400 metres from the Villa so one would have to walk very slowly indeed to take 10 minutes. I believe 5 minutes to be a better indication of the time it takes on foot. Thank you once again Ruth for your super review and I have passed on your comments to my gardener/pool man. I hope to welcome you and the family back again in the future.

Great location

We arrived early at Villa Blanca David the owner introduced himself & showed us how to work the washing machine & television etc, then we had a tour of the villa,the master bedroom was down stairs and led out onto the pool area, the other 2 bedrooms were upstairs & had 2 separate bathroom's, the furniture was a mixture of cream leather & mahogany dining suites & leather sofa & chairs in the lounge from here there was a great outside terrace with views of the sea,the villa was well equipped and had plenty of hot water and hand bath & beach towels were provided.From the villa you can easily walk to the beach by means of a bridge that went across the motorway, also the big supermarket was not to far away but if you were doing a big shop I would suggest getting a taxi,there is a great information booklet in the villa with lots of useful numbers we used taxi's and didn't have to wait more than a few seconds for them to arrive.We had one or 2 niggles but David was on hand & promptly came over to sort them out,we can highly recommend this lovely peaceful villa to stay for a relaxing holiday,Thank you David

Beautiful villa in the sun

Wow what a beautiful villa,just returned from a week at villa blanca with 4 other family members

Excellent location although on the hillside very easy to walk

to the beach and fueringola promanade.

Shopping centre with large supermarket very close by.

Very very spacious with super swimming pool and stacks of terraces.

Very nicely decorated and all essential appliances and many more (lovely outdoor kitchen/BBQ)

I would highly recommend this villa for group or family holiday in ideal location for just relaxing or discovering the area and its beaches.

The best villa we have ever stayed in!

We stayed at Villa Blanca in Fuengirola a few years ago and returned in November 2016 and can't wait to stay again. We contacted the owner directly as we still had this lovely gentlemans details from our last stay.

It really is the best private villa we have come across, the location suits us to a T, you can walk to the beautiful beach across the road and as the villa is in town there is no need to hire a car.

Not only that the big shopping center at Myramar is a 5 minute walk (God forbid, couldn't keep the missus away!)

Over the last couple of years we've stayed in various privately owned villas and apartments and this one is by far the best.

We think the villa is beautifully presented and furnished and vey comfortable. Love the pool area and since we last stayed the owner has built a fab brick and marble barbecue area that got plenty of use!!

Genuinely cannot recommend this villa enough, sure you will have a great time.

Owner's Response: Thank you to these guests, one of quite a number now who have chosen to stay at Villa Blanca more than once, for their comprehensive review. It is very rewarding to get such positive feedback which I have passed on to my small cleaning, gardening and maintenance team. The brick and marble barbecue was built in 2015 to replace a smaller mobile unit and is one of a number of improvements made over the years to enhance the facilities on offer. Another, in 2016, is the installation in all bedrooms of heating and air-conditioning units. In the last few years, since the loss of Sky TV in Spain, I have also installed an internet-based TV service providing a full range of UK channels running on a very good cellular wifi service I also had installed which is much faster than the slow landline-based service in the province.

The beach is 400 metres from Villa Blanca and is a 3 or 4 minute walk. There are no major roads to be crossed to get there because there is a very convenient foot bridge over the coastal road some 200m from the property. The beach here is very wide, made of golden sand, and popular and there are a number of bars and restaurants as well as the Beatriz Palace hotel.


Malaga airport is 20 kms i.e. 20 minutes drive away from the Villa. From the airport, one can take a taxi to the Villa or the train which goes to the Centre of Fuengirola. Marbella is also 20km away in the other direction. The beautiful mountain pueblo of Mijas is just 5 kms inland, Gibraltar is some 110 kms and Puerto Banus some 25kms. There are many other super places to visit including the City of Malaga (20 kms), Ronda (70 kms), Tarifa (120kms), Granada, Antequera, Cordoba, El Chorro lakes,


The Villa is located at the west end of Fuengirola. To walk into town is quick and easy. The start of the town's pedestrian beach-front promenade is approximately 350 metres away, about 3 minutes on foot.

Further Details:

The new Myramar centre is located within a 6-7 minute walk (about 700 metres) from the villa and comprises Fuengirola's largest supermarket (Eroski) and several dozen independent shops and boutiques selling clothes, jewellery, furniture, toys, electrical and many others. The shopping centre also has its own multi-screen cinema and a selection of restaurants and fast food outlets.

From November to April, good discounts are available for longer stays.
To secure a booking, a deposit of 20% is required. Balance is payable 8 weeks before arrival plus a refundable damages deposit of 10% (minimum £250). To book, please contact the owner stating desired dates, size & composition of group (family, friends, couples etc & ages of any children). For weeks that overlap a month end, prices are pro-rated to the number of days falling in each month.

Changeover Day:
Changeover days are flexible except in the period from May to September, when we only take bookings starting and ending on Saturdays. Arrival time is from 15.00 hours and departure time is 10.00 hours.
