Seaside Winter Retreat

This location absolutely delivered! The house is from 1925 so it has the eccentricities you might expect, but that's part of the charm. Everything was very clean and ready for us on our arrival. Arranging the rental and moving in was easy; we were met promptly on our arrival and had no problems with the property. Since it was winter, many restaurants were closed, but we were there to walk the beach and watch the waves (fireplace going) through the enormous living room window. Yes, I would recommend "La Torche".

On the edge of the Atlantic

An impressive house that was spotlessly clean when we arrived. High ceilings, large rooms and a view of the ocean that was amazing. Very quiet area which is a bonus but also easy to cycle to the shops of St Guenole. A short stroll to the magnificent beach which has surf schools and a fantastic beach bar/cafe. We had a magical time and hope to return one day. Oh and the most comfortable beds I've ever had in a rental made for a relaxing holiday.

Generous House in Wonderful Location.

Men Meur is a traditional solid built French house that provides a great base for a relaxed holiday. The position is wonderful, an easy walk to the beach or to the town. The area is quiet, but with enough going on to meet the needs of all ages. The town has some great restaurants and watersports are available on the beach in front of the house. A car is a definate plus, in that there is some great countryside and miles of deserted beaches to explore to the northwest and to the southeast there are many historic townes and more fashionable beaches. The food in the area is wonderful, especially the seafood straight from the fishing fleets.

We had the most wonderful family holiday and would recomend this spacious, upmarket house to those who are looking for a bit more comfort in an unspoiled part of France.
