La Herradura is a perfect holiday location for those who want the real Spain. A beautifully furnished apartment in a peaceful location with stunning views over La Herradura Bay. A 5 minute drive to the beach and village. The apartment benefits from a lovely pool with BBQ area, paddle tennis court, basket ball court, underground parking and secure entrance with intercom. La Herradura is one of the prettiest bays along the south coast of Spain. The village boasts an excellent selection of chiringuitos, bars, restaurants and shops providing everything you could possibly need. There are plenty of watersports available and golf courses 30 minutes away. The lovely town of Nerja is 15 minutes drive and the traditional town of Almunecar is 10 minutes away.

We had a wonderful time, the apartment was a great haven to come back to after a day on the beach or exploring the area. The Lamb's, Leatherhead.

We absolutely loved La Herradura and the apartment we would definitely go back. We were surprised how it was not full of tourists like most places and how private the pool felt, there were only a few people round it each day. I'm sure I'll be in touch again in the future!

Wonderful relaxing holiday

We've just returned from a month-long holiday at the best-equipped and most comfortable apartment we've ever rented.

The quiet, relaxing atmosphere was just what we were looking for as a retired couple.

Beautiful relaxing location with stunning views!

A wonderful relaxing 2 week break in the Spanish sunshine! This is the second time we have stayed in Lynne and Stuart's apartment but this time my husband and I brought our 6 month old baby boy with us. This apartment has all the amenities you will need and more to have a great holiday and is finished with a homely and stylish interior. The price is very reasonable for such lovely clean accommodation. The views are stunning and the balcony is sheltered, decorative and very relaxing to sit and take five or to put your feet up for the evening. A highchair, baby cot, etc are available if required as the apartment has two large size bedrooms which was perfect for us with a young baby. The pool is so handy, very private, a good size and in excellent condition.

A car is a must as the apartment is located up a big hill from the beach front but in a car it is only a 3 minute drive. The beautiful bay of La Herradura is family-friendly, busy and still very Spanish. There are lots of restaurants and bars to choose from but long days on the beach were perfect followed by a long night on the balcony of the apartment. It was nice to have the choice! Nerja is a 10 minute drive away, as is Almenecar and these towns have a busier night life if that's what you're after. Again, nice to have the variety of towns depending on what you fancy that day/night. La Herradura has really good taxi services; prompt, clean and safe.

We had a wonderful stay again and Lynne is friendly, accommodating and professional to communicate with. Lynne is extremely helpful and informed about the apartment and the bay itself. We will definitely be returning and may even bring our parents next time! Thank you Lynne and Stuart for having us x

A wonderful holiday in La Herradura

This property is of a very high standard. The accommodation exceeds what you would normally expect of a holiday let. The views from the apartment are beautiful. The accommodation has access to a lovely pool, tennis court and basketball court. We took two children one of 17 and one of 8 both of whom didn't want to come home. This part of Spain is Spanish (Not Britain by sea) it has lovely restaurants, beaches and castles to visit all in close proximity to the apartment. I would recommend this accommodation to anyone. The owners are professional and personal in their approach. Car Rental is a must if you wish to explore. I wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you

Lovely relaxing apartment with great views

We really enjoyed our stay in La Herradura. The apartment is perfect for a small family like ours with everything you need for your stay including all kitchen equipment and things for the beach. The pool is lovely and the terrace is great to relax some more after a hard day. Our favourite beach was the one at del la Mona which is a short drive away towards Almunecar and has a nice local restaurant on the beach. Nerja is nice for a day trip shopping and Grenada for the Alhambra but be sure to buy tickets in advance.

Our apartment in La Herradura is very special to us. We have had and still do have lovely family holidays there. As our family grows it gets even better. I first discovered the village some 17 years ago when I visited a friends apartment. I fell in love with the area, it was so unspoilt and still retains that Spanish charm today.

Activity and Interests

Nearest Airport : Malaga at 75 Kilometres Nearest Golf : Velez Malaga at 40 Kilometres Car: necessary

Coast/Beach:

The 2km beach of La Herradura is 5 minutes drive with great beach restaurants and watersports. Neighbouring Marina del Est is 10 minutes and Almunecar boasts a huge beach with the many bars and restaurants of the town close by. Nerja is 10 minutes and has an abundance of bars and beach front restaurants.

Travel:

Malaga airport is 45 minutes and Granada is 1 hour.

Distances:

Nerja 15 minutes, Almunecar 10 minutes, Granada(Alhambra Palace) is 1 hour. For those who wish to visit the Olive growing region of Jaen with its picturesque towns of Baeza and Ubeda it is approx 2 hours away.

Further Details:

La Herradura is a peaceful destination but with all the amenities you would require eg banks, medical centre, shops, markets and numerous bars and restaurants catering for all tastes. August is the busiest time when traditional La Herradura comes alive.

The views from the apartment are fantastic and it was the views and peaceful aspect that appealed to us. We love nothing more after a day on the beach than relaxing with a bottle of wine and some good food on the balcony.
