Apartment in Cala'n Porter, Menorca - Overlooking the Beach

A beautiful two bedroom apartment with thick whitewashed walls and all-in-one living area with modern kitchen opening off a terrace from which you can sunbathe and enjoy open-air dining all day long while being entertained by the activities on the beach and the yachts arriving and leaving Cala'n Porter cove. Swim and snorkle in the aquamarine waters, eat at the beachside cafés and bars, hire a pedalo or kayak to venture further out into the Mediterranean while still remaining within the protective arms of the two headlands that embrace this wonderful cove.

NB: Because of access via multiple steps, this apartment is not suitable for people with a mobility problem. The steps are also the reason why we cannot accept liability for babies, or for children less than 6 years old.

Amazing views

What a lovely apartment with gorgeous views! This is the main reason we booked this apartment and we were not disappointed. The apartment is built into the side of the rocks half way up the steps which go from the beach to the resort. This is great as it means you only have half the amount of steps to go down to get to the beach. The apartment is very well equipped, has a very comfortable king size bed, and things like a hair dryer, full oven and a dishwasher really make a difference. There are also plenty of books and videos, plus plenty of guide books to the island. The location is good as it's only about 15 minutes by car or taxi to Mahon and also the beautiful harbour at Es Castell (Cales Fonts). The local village up the road Sant Climent is also charming. We were a little concerned about the lack of air conditioning but were very pleased to have very comfortable sleeps at night as we were able to create a through draft with the shutters closed (secure as lockable) and the windows open at night. Would recommend!

tasteful appartment with world class view

We were satisfied in every way here, in this appartment, which is perched halfway up a cliffside. After waking up in the morning following a good night's sleep, for here we slept like babies on very comfortable bedding, you step down into a bright white lounge area that gives onto a view that can only be classed as sublime. A bottle of wine and some nibbles awaited us on arrival, a thoughtful gesture that went a long way. We were very happy to come back to this appartment every day after our outings to Mahon, which is just up the road if you want culture, good restaurants and shopping. We also found the beaches that start with "Bini" very beautiful indeed (Binidali... Biniasfuller...) and they are also reachable by car in udner fifteen minutes. everything we needed was at hand. The appartment is very well equipped. We also enjoyed perusing the bookshelves and watching a few good films in the evening.

Activity and Interests


The beach is a flight of steps away. Beside the beach are two bar/restaurants, a beach shop, and a free car park. Sun-loungers can be hired on the beach, as well as kayaks and pedalos.


Car hire is not essential. On arrival, taxis can be hired at Mahon airport which is about 15 minutes' distance, and a taxi service (RadioTaxi, available 24 hours) can be booked to take you the airport when you depart.


Cala'n Porter village is on the headland above the apartment and is accessed via the same main steps that lead to the beach and to the apartment.

From June to October buses to Mahon (30-40 minutes) run throughout the day from the bus stop directly above the apartment.

Further Details:

Cala'n Porter has a variety of bars (many with Wi-Fi), restaurants, shops and supermarkets, a bank, a pharmacy and car/scooter/bike hire. The pre-historic cave (Xoroy Cave or Cova d'en Xoroi) is situated in the cliffs some 10 minutes' walk away which offers drinks and a spectacular view of the Mediterranean.

An additional, refundable, 'good housekeeping' deposit of £150.00 per week is charged against possible breakages or loss of the keys.
Should the holiday be cancelled, the sum of £150.00 for one week, or £260 for two weeks is non-refundable.

Entry time to the apartment is at 14:00 hrs and exit time is at 10:00 hrs. Late exits (for late flights) may be accommodated if it is possible to do so.
