This well equipped apartment enjoys one of the best locations on Pestana. Views of the 14th fairway of Gramacho Golf Course from kitchen and front bedroom, delightful views of the 18th fairway from the lounge/terrace and main ensuite bedroom. Tennis court to the side of the property. The clubhouse/restaurant within 100m and communal pool just a stroll away. A superb location for golfers or those wanting to relax close to the beaches of Carvoeiro and Ferraguda. Golf packages available via Pestana for the 5 eighteen hole golf course, Gramacho, Pinta ,Silves, Vila Sol and Alto. The resort also includes a Golf Academy with practice facilities. About the Owner

Malc, Di, Andy and Jenny have been good friends since living in Swindon some 30 years ago. Andy moved to Bearsted Kent and Malc & Di moved to Torquay. Despite the distance between us the apartment keeps us in regular contact and we often meet up there to enjoy the sunshine, golf, beeches and the odd beer or 2 !

We now have 7 grandchildren between us and our own children love the safety of the apartment for the toddlers to run around outside on the lawns.

The day always starts with Malc popping up to get the fresh bread rolls then discuss the day ahead at breakfast on the patio. Of course we are keen golfers and usually play early morning and lunch on the clubhouse terrace, again the odd beer!

We all enjoy eating out but look forward to our own alfresco dining as well.

We've had 3 great stays at this appartment with our teenage children - exactly as in the photographs and always spotlessly clean on our arrival. Near the clubhouse, but not too near; perfectly located in relation to the sun; terrace great for relaxing views of golfers making their way up the 18th fairway. (Course at Gramacho beautifully landscaped, manageable for high handicappers , yet challenging enough off single figures; excellent practice range 2 mins away by car.) Malcolm & Andy good to deal with and no problem getting keys from reception (or from security staff on one occasion when arriving at 10pm). 5 min drive to large supermarket; 10 mins to Carvoiero (seaside village - tiny Indian restaurant well worth a visit for good food and even better service...) Aquapark and plenty of sightseeing & beaches nearby. Alvor in the evening sun worth the short drive (lots of well priced restaurants there too). No hesitation in recommen

Fabulous location for family holiday

Our second trip during the summer holidays with a 5 and 7 year old. Great, spacious apartment with lovely views from terrace. Love the fact it is on the ground floor and at the end as there is plenty of space right outside for the kids to play. I think this is best group of apartments to be on in Gramacho as lots of open space around, golf course on both sides and pool in front. The pool was lovely and never got too busy. We were quite frequently only ones using it!Tennis courts also to the side of the property which we used a few times. Gramacho feels very safe and like that it is gated. A short walk up to the clubhouse and a small shop. Went to the BBQ at the clubhouse a couple of times which was good fun. We visited lots of different beaches. Think the beaches around the area are beautiful. We love the variety of not having to go to same beach. Great choice of restaurants too. 5 mins to slide n splash which is worth a visit and Zoo Marine about 20 mins. Hope to go back again.

Perfect Relaxed Location.

My family of four (kids aged 6 & 8) spent 2 wonderful weeks in Gramacho. The owners were extremely accommodating and very friendly to deal with. Apt is ideally located on the ground floor with and we enjoyed plenty of BBQ's while watching the kids playing tennis and football on the adjacent courts / pitches. Apt is very well kitted out to a high standard including AC and is very much like a home away from home and doesn't have the feel of a normal holiday home. Location is a short drive to some wonderful beeches and restaurants and all amenities. I have no hesitation in recommending the apt and location.

location, location, location

Carvioero is well located on the Algarve: equal distance (c30/40mins) from Alvor and Albufeira Old Town (both v pleasant at sunset). Staying on Gramacho is ideal for golf, with the challenging distances of Pinta adjacent, all the golfing choices of Vilamoura under an hour away and the beautiful landscaping of Gramacho itself all around. (Not to mention idyllic driving range facilities, just 2 minutes drive from Gramacho - far superior to those at Vilamoura.) Apartment 81A has an ideal location on golf course, only a short stroll to the 1st tee ... Our teenagers love staying and playing here so much we can't get away without them!

Location

The western algarve has good beeches and far better golf courses than is often given credit for. I have played most of the courses in the Villamoura area and a lot in the west are just as good if not better. Pinta, gramacho, penina, morgado, alamos and palmeras are our favorites. We definitely find eating out cheaper in this area with a good choice either in the town or a short drive away. Its a great property for those with young children as its surrounded by lawns with our property offering some privacy to other apartments.

Activity and Interests

Coast/Beach:

Set in the western Algarve the coast and beaches are excellent. The nearest is Carvoeiro approx 3km away with Ferraguda also within a short drive. The backdrop for these apartments are the Monchique Mountains which makes it a superb setting to test your golf or simply relax.

Travel:

The nearest airport is Faro and it take approx 45 minutes on the A22 motorway coming off at junction 6 lagoa following signs to Lagoa and then gramacho. Car Hire is advisable to access all courses, beaches, restaurants and other resorts such as Portimao and the ancient town of Silves. Not forgetting the excellent Water slide Park approx 10 minutes drive away.
