Luxury 3 bedroom villa with its own private pool. Furnished to a very high standard and can sleep up to 6 people. Wi fi available and included in rate. Situated in a quiet location and only a 5 minute walk from the nearest sandy beach. Local bars and restaurants nearby within walking distance. Nerja town centre is only a 25 minute stroll along the beach with tapas bars conveniently situated along the way. The villa has large elevated terraced areas south facing. Fitted kitchen with granite worktops, integrated washing machine, dishwasher, fridge/freezer. Large lounge/diner with LCD SKY TV offering english TV (subject to internet connection) with high quality furnishings. 2 double bedrooms, 1 with en suite, fitted wardrobes in each and balcony. Large Twin bedroom with fitted wardrobes. Private pull in drive with electric security gates. Air conditioning is fitted with the provision of cold/warm heating on a meter basis (very reasonable). Log burner also fitted for cosy nights in during the winter months. The owners use the villa for their own private use, therefore the fittings are of a high standard and quality.

I live in a small village in South Leicestershire with my husband Robert. My daughter still lives with us and my Son has just moved to London.

We have a new member of the family - a very tiny cocker spaniel who is keeping us very fit and active!

Because of other commitments, we cannot holiday as often as we would like so that made us decide to offer our house for rent.

Our children have grown up holidaying in Nerja and they still enjoy it now (they're both in their 20's). It really has a lot to offer for everyone and we never tire of visiting.

Why julia fox chose Nerja

We bought our first house in Punta Lara over 17 years ago and, as our family expanded, we moved to our current villa.

We found the extra space gave us all the privacy a family needs (even on holiday!). Having our own private pool proved a hit with the children and it is very rare that we venture to the beach.

We have had some fantastic holidays in Nerja and we have made some lovely friends.

We are still delighted that even though our children have grown up now, they still like to holiday with us, which is great.

We hope that our guests will feel free to ask us for any help or guidance to help make their holiday memorable.

What makes this villa unique

The beauty of this property is not only its generous size, it's the peaceful location.

If you don't want to drive, it is so easy to walk into town, or to a local bar or restaurant.

If walking is not your thing, then there are bus stops only a short distance from the villa which give you so many options.

Notes on accommodation: The villa is furnished to a very high standard to provide our guests with a touch of luxury during their stay. Air conditioning is available for the summer months (available by meter) and a beautiful wood burning log fire is provided for the chillier evenings during winter. Although the villa is situated in a quiet peaceful location, ideal for family holidays, it is perfectly located near to all local amenities, giving our guests the choice of abandoning their vehicle if they so wish for a fully relaxing holiday. If guests are wishing to stay for longer periods during the winter months, please contact the owner for details on rates. Outside: The villa has its own private swimming pool which is maintained on a weekly basis. There are large elevated private terraced areas and BBQ offering a perfect family holiday. These terraces are large and spacious providing private areas to enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Only a very short walk to the nearest beach. A relaxing 25 minute stroll along the beach will take you into Nerja town. There are a selection of tapas bars along the beach, making the walk even more enjoyable. Local bars/restaurants are within a short 5/10 minute walk from the villa and recommendations and directions have been left in the villa for the convenience of guests. A detailed information pack is provided for the convenience of guests, giving details of all local amenities and attractions. Utility Room: Lobby area at base of stairs which is a useful storage area. There are washing lines/airer to the rear of the property for the convenience of guests. Ironing board and iron also provided. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels (including beach towels) and linen are provided and the property will be cleaned prior to arrival. If guests are staying for longer than a week a linen change is provided at no extra charge. Other: Roof terrace offering stunning panoramic sea and mountain views. Pull in drive with secure electric gates. Wi fi is available. Welcome pack provided for guests on arrival.

Having stayed in the beautiful Nerja twice before finding the villa wasn't an issue, however if this it is your first visit to the area the owner Julia provides detailed directions and instruction on getting there safely.

Upon arrival the villa was found to be immaculately clean and well presented, the photographs on this website are a true representation of the villa's current condition. After along day of travelling and the weather being in the high thirties it was only a matter of minutes before the kids were hitting the pool. Located directly outside of the living room this meant there were no steps to contend with when stocking up on drinks when enjoying the out door spaces.

For those looking a relaxing beach holiday then this is the villa to stay with easy access to two beaches on your door step that can be reached on foot or in a car if you choose as there is plenty of parking. There nearest is to the side of the Hotel Marinas De Nerja, turn left and a 15 minute walk along this beach and you will find a handful of restaurants varying in quality and price, that will take you into town . What we have found when visiting Nerja is don't judge a book! Some of the run down/basic shacks provide fresh, wholesome and delicious options, Chiringuito El Playazo is recommended. Alternatively turn right out of the urbanization past Lardera del Mar and you will find a small beach just on the main road, don't be put off by the fact that the road is behind you, as it can not be heard. This beach has direct access to a bar to help cool you down in the hot summer's sun.

For those who need to cool off, which we most certainly did with the temperatures averaging 40 degrees....all week, just a 15 minute drive west you will find a small but reasonably priced water park Aquavelis in Tore Del Mar. Don't pay full price and find a discount voucher from the tourist information, local supermarket or other tourist attraction attraction like the caves (I left a handful of these in the information pack provided by Julia!) Alternatively, next to the water park is a large indoor shopping centre which is fully air conditioned and offers you a variety of shops which you may recognise (C&A, H&M) and local Spanish Boutiques. Closer to home there are two larger communal pools with food and drinks available within the Punta Lara urbanisation. We were made to feel welcome at both and allowed the children to meet some holiday friends.

Great House

My family and I rented this house for 2 weeks during July 2014. The place is spotlessly clean and very easy to keep. Both inside and outside are very comfortable, view of the mountains from the pool is beautiful. The area is very quite and relaxing and really it is no distance into Nerja which has a really good taxi service, saying that I would recommend a car. All in all we would highly recommend this house and if we return to Nerja would happily rent again.

The villa is within a 5 minute walk of the nearest beach. There are plenty of beaches to choose from nearby and are usually supervised during the summer months by life guards.


Nerja is approximately a 45 minute car drive from Malaga airport. One and half hours from Granada. Taxis and Buses are available from Malaga airport. Car hire is also available from Malaga airport. Taxis and local buses to and from the urbanisation of Punta Lara into Nerja are readily available at very reasonable rates.


A leisurely stroll into Nerja takes approximately 25/30 minutes along the beach or approximately 5 minutes by car. There are local buses available from the Hotel Marinas de Nerja, just alongisde the beach and a 5 minute walk from the villa.

Further Details:

The villa is 5 mins by car to Nerja a Spanish town that is full of charm. The town has a multitude of narrow winding pedestrianised streets that lead down to the plaza area at the Balcon. Nerja offers a good selection of shops, restaurants, nightlife and several picturesque beaches. Nearby attractions include the world renowned Nerja caves and the beautiful whitewashed mountain village of Frigliana. Malaga is 45 mins by car to the west and the vibrant city of Granada to the east and north with its Alhambra Palace and the dramatic Sierra Nevada mountain range where good skiing can be found. Activities such as golf, tennis, horse riding, mountain biking, water sports and water parks can also be found in the vicinity.

Punta Lara itself was used for the filming of "Emmerdale" and Gordon Ramsey's TV programme was filmed at a local bar at Burriana Beach.
