Ideal for beach sports, cliff walking and outstanding golf resorts within easy reach. Luz is a couple of miles from Lagos, easily the most attractive and picturesque town on the Algarve. With narrow winding streets an intact wall round the old town and a new marina. Long term lets available in the low season October to April.

"Phil, been meaning to email to say what a lovely holiday we had! The villa was lovely, plenty of room and it was particularly nice to be able to walk to everything: supermarkets, restaurants, beach etc and not have to get in the car. The hand over of keys at beginning and end of the stay, and the car hire firm which you recommended were both quick and easy and it was nice to have maid service a couple of times during the stay 09.11.09

Lovely villa, immaculate,large pool, no car needed

Great villa, very clean, large pool and we booked prior to holiday taxi return via Hoppa.com return taxis for 4 £115 total which took 45 mins to villa from airport. Greeted by Carla who was very friendly and showed us around villa etc. Immaculate villa, large pool, appeared to be overlooked by some buildings but it was fine as not overlooked by anyone as the back of buildings. Quiet location and very central and literally a 5 minute walk into centre of Luiz. Luiz small, unspoilt beautiful beaches and great for walking around coast nearby. Lots of restaurants, Dolphin was our favourite, excellent customer service and quality food but you need to book ahead a few days as it is very popular. Complete chill out villa, we spent most of our time by the pool, swimming, reading and chilling, going into Luiz for dinner in the evenings.

Owner Phil was very helpful and responded super quick with any queries, providing lots of helpful information prior to our trip and then once we arrived, he was, as was Carla very helpful/flexible to ensure we had a good holiday, which we really appreciated.

We had tapas on the large balcony one evening which was lovely, there is a bbq on the patio too to use.

Great villa, price, fab weather, no need for car you just want to chill but there are buses to go to local areas 3 mins away.

Definitely recommend, thank you !

Perfect villa for family holiday

This villa was first class and really made our holiday. It is spotlessly clean and has all the facilities and equipment needed for holidaymakers. It is also within easy walking distance of the beach, shops, bars and restaurants. The pool is a great size and we spent long lazy days lounging around in the generous terrace area. We also used the built in BBQ a couple of times during our stay. All in all we would highly recommend it.

My holiday

FANTASTIC! There's nothing to fault on this property, cleans comfy rooms with doors that open on to the patio outside. Plenty of room for every overpacked suitcase. I would highly recommend visiting this beautiful villa. Will defiantly be coming here again not only to visit the friendly staff round the area but also to chill on the stunning sandy beach that's only a few minuets walk from the villa.

Praia da luz

Had to write this review what a lovely villa, lots of space, clean and very modern, the area has everything you need for a great holiday, you can get everywhere on foot but we hired a car and Lagos is easy and quick to get to with markets and many shops and a marina with many day trips available.The local area of praia da luz has a range of bars and restaurants and the beach is just 5 mins walk from the villa. There are supermarkets and a health food shop near which has gluten free products! so being a coeliac this was ideal for me, the local restaurants were also accommodating with my food allergy, a great holiday and can't wait to go back a big thanks to Phil the owner same time next year!!. Jane.

Nearest Airport : faro at 55 Kilometres Nearest Train : lagos at 4 Kilometres Nearest Beach : praia da luz at 200 Metres Car: not necessary


There are stunning beaches all along the Western Algarve. The long sandy beach at Praia da Luz itself is only 5 minutes walk and has every facility from bars, cafes, shops, restaurants, water sports, etc. Many totally unspoiled beaches are to be found along the western coast. Ideal for surfing and watersports.


Praia da Luz is 45 minutes drive from Faro airport with 2 lane motorways all the way to Luz, which is easy to find. Unlike the UK the motorways are never crowded and it is a pleasure to drive. Car hire is cheap and can be arranged this end. You can collect your car at the airport and drop it of in the adjacent car park at departure.


Many other interesting towns within easy reach. Lagos, Sagres, Cape St Vincent, Portimao, Silves, Monchique, Aljezur even Albufeira are all worth a visit.

Praia a Luz is ideal for a no hassle break. English is widely spoken. There are well stocked supermarkets catering for the expat and tourist market. Cash machines are readily available.
