About the Owner

Vilamoura is a beautiful place to be with the hugely popular Marina at its centre, white sandy beaches and Roman ruins to visit too! There is an abundance of night-life with fantastic restaurants, bars, nightclubs and an impressive Casino. Chic shopping can be done around the Marina area. In Vilamoura area alone there are 6 courses and nearby you also have the Vale do Lobo and Quinta do Lago courses. You also have the Family Golf Park Mini Golf, the Vilamoura Tennis Club and the Lawn Bowls Club. In Vilamoura there is something to do for everyone at all times of the year. In the next door town of Quarteira there are daily fish and fresh produce markets plus a weekly Gypsy Market. I know you'll have a wonderful stay in Vilamoura.

This was my second time renting this apartment so I guess that is recommendation enough. The Aquamar complex is a super clean and safe complex. There is 24hr security in the lobby. This apartment is very modern, clean and very well maintained. I rented it back in 2007 and it was still as new looking as back then with some modifications to the decorations which you would expect. The apt is well equipped and is on the third floor. The complex is quiet, the pool area is very nice and not too crowed. It's proximity to the marina is fantastic, it is just one building back so you enjoy the close proximity but it is not noisy. The apt is about 8 mins walk to the beach. You do not need a car for this area as it is 30 mins from the airport and you are close to all amenities when you get there. There is even a small well stocked local shop in the complex now which is a wonderful addition since I was there back in 2007. The management company that run this apartment were very helpful. I would highly recommend this apt and I will be going back there again myself another time.

First class accomadation

We enjoyed this apartment very much. The location was excellent and the apartment was spotlessy clean. Beds were so comfortable that we didn't want to get up in the morning. The staff in Aquamar were very friendly and the cleaner who came each week was a little treasure as was Jackie who couldn't do enough for us. Even to the point of lending us her very posh dinner mats (apartment had 4 but we were entertaining 8 for a meal). We would thoroughly recommend this apartment and would hope to return sometime.

The beaches are amazing and are great for kids and the Marina is just so lovely to visit and enjoy. The Portuguese are also very nice and love kids and there are some beautiful places to explore all over the Algarve and Vilamoura is the perfect base in central Algarve to do this from. The Apartments are ideally set overlooking the beautiful Marina so everything is at your doorstep! The shops, bars, restaurants and Casino are all next door or nearby and it is a short stroll to the beautiful Falesia Beach which stretches towards Albufeira. There is also a 24 hour reception with free wi-fi access. There are a few tourist trains doing the circuits of both Vilamoura and Quarteira including the beach and the Marina which pass by regularly.

Activity and Interests


The Vilamoura and Quarteria beaches with their lovely long promenades and beautiful golden sand. Vilamoura is a privately run exclusively developed holiday resort. Its focal point is the Marina, one of the largest in Western Europe, surrounded by a well laid out array of shops, restaurants, bars, discos, casino, five star hotels and apartment blocks. On one side of the Marina entrance is the Falasia Beach extending for several miles westward. Only a 3 minute walk away.


The nearest airport is Faro which is 20 minutes drive. A car is not necessary as everything is very close and we can easily organise a pick up at the airport and they will bring you directly to your accommodation, please do let me know.


The apartment is on the marina with its many shops and restaurants and the beach is a 5 minute walk away. Great for everyone and only a stones throw from everything.

Further Details:

Vilamoura is a great place as it caters for all ages with the Algarve's largest marina and beautiful beaches and is only a 15 minute drive to Quinta do Lago/Vale do Lobo and Albufeira. There's lots to see and do.

Having a walk around the Vilamoura Marina is a must during your holidays! You can also go deep sea fishing or just have a lazy sail along the beautiful coastline on a boat or Catamaran. You are also just a short walk from the Roman ruins which are worth a visit, and easy access to walk to the Tennis Club, the Lawn Bowls Club and the Family Golf Park Mini Golf. If you have a chance, go to any of Vilamoura's many nearby golf course club houses just for a coffee and look out over the wonderful courses. In the next door town of Quarteira there are daily fish and fresh produce markets plus a weekly Gypsy Market. The excellent Aquashow waterpark is a 5 minute car or taxi journey away and Zoomarine themepark is about 30 minutes by car. Please let me know if you have any questions.
