Quiet, Airy Studio Flat in Port Royale, Los Cristianos, Tenerife - Peaceful Location with Lovely Views

This apartment is a spacious studio flat in Port Royale, overlooking the attractive fishing village of Los Cristianos. The large sun terrace has seating for 4 people, two sunbeds, and a small barbecue. Smoking is permitted on the terrace only please. There is an American kitchen with hotplate, microwave, washing machine and fridge. Bathroom has been modernised, and there is a roomy, walk-in shower. TV with satellite connection. Access to the flat from the road is achieved on one level, but the pool is on a lower level, so some steps are involved.

About Colin and May

We are a semi-retired professional Scottish couple, and this is our escape to the sun. As such our apartment is a home-from-home, and is furnished to be comfortable for long and short stays.

We only rent out the apartment to help us cover costs, and we use it extensively ourselves.

We love the sunshine and views, and the various walks and bus trips (we do not have a car there, or rent one).

Colin and May purchased this apartment in 2006

Why Colin and May chose Arona

The area is quiet and the views are excellent.

Although in a quiet spot, it is close to so many places to eat and drink, as well as good supermarkets.

And it is in a good area for walking and exploring with the Nature Reserve nearby it offers us so much to enjoy.

What makes this apartment unique

Our apartment is in a community which means that there are always people to talk to.

It is near the shops and busy centre of Los Cristianos but is in a quiet location in a quiet development, with lovely views.

The poolside area is a great place to meet people, and all ages happily mix and chat there.

The gardener keeps the cultivated areas looking beautiful too.

Notes on accommodation: The apartment is suitable for a family with 1 or 2 young children, but being a studio is not ideal for older families. It has good ventilation and a ceiling fan, so is easily kept cool on warm days. Outside: The resort has a gardener who maintains the many and varied plant beds. There are several shady seating areas in the complex. The pool area is private to the complex, and is heated in winter. Although close to the apartment, pool noise is not heard in the apartment. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: The apartment is cleaned before and after every stay. Extra cleaning can be arranged at a small extra cost during longer stays. Linen is changed weekly. Other: The sun terrace is large, and offers good sea and mountain views. A table with umbrella are provided, together with two sunbeds and a small BBQ. Port Royale has a pool area close to the apartment with sunbeds and umbrellas (at no charge).

Peaceful apartment with lovely balcony space.

This is a lovely studio apartment on a well maintained complex. The balcony enjoys the sun from mid morning until sunset and is large enough to offer table and chairs for 4 plus two really comfortable sunbeds. There are also great views across Los Cristianos and out to sea. It was very easy to spend time here.

The web site photos accurately reflect the accommodation, offers great beds and is well equipped throughout. Colin (the owner) was easy to deal with and responded to communications promptly. He was particularly supportive when at the 11th hour we had to change our dates due to the collapse of Monarch.

The complex is very well maintained, includes a lovely communal pool area that never seemed 'too busy' and sun loungers were always available. A supermarket and range of bars/restaurants are within a few minutes walk - the centre of Los Cristianos is about 20 minutes stroll away. The complex is located on a hill and therefore walking back could be challenging for anyone with mobility considerations.

We had a really peaceful stay, plan to return in the future and would recommend this apartment for anyone looking for accommodation in Los Cristianos.

I have just returned from a week's stay, and found the flat to be perfect for a holiday break.

The flat has everything you need as the owners clearly stay here too. The bed is one of the most comfortable I have slept in outside of the UK! Lazing on the balcony is a treat, being a very good size, south facing and private. I loved the complex as it's well-maintained, clean and quiet with a good-sized pool and lots of umbrellas and sun-beds.

As someone holidaying alone, I enjoyed my privacy, but was very reassured by having friendly English-speaking residents around who were more than willing to help me if needed.

The location is on a hill, but amenities are very closeby, and going further afield I used to walk and taxi back. I think Colin wrote somewhere that he'd never had a bad meal out in Tenerife and I would second that, as this is my fourth visit to the area and, as a fussy eater, I haven't either.

Practical arrangements were great with direct communication with Colin and May.

Needless to say, I am looking to stay again.

So very peaceful

Great wee studio apartment.. everything you need and the supermarket around the corner. The pool always had sun beds. Walk to not los Cristianos took 20 mins but it was a pleasant walk downhill. Contact with Colin was excellent and one little problem with the toilet was fixed within couple of hours. The apartment is so peaceful and the views to die for. Would recommend 100%.

Lovely well equipped property in quiet location

Everything we needed for a great holiday. We like walking so the location was not a problem but on a steep hill so not recommended for people with mobility problems. Taxi rank nearby for people who need them. Supermarkets close by.

Car: not necessary


Just 10 mins walk down the hill leads you to the start of the lengthy beach complex of Los Cristianos / Playa las Vistas / Playa de las Americas. The walk along this on the beautiful coastal pathway would take several hours, and is highly recommended. There are beaches for sunbathing, swimming, and water sports of many types.


The resort is 15 minutes by taxi from Tenerife Sur airport, and taxi fares are typically 20 Euros. Transfers can be arranged if required. There is car parking at the edge of the complex, and car hire companies all round the area. A car may be useful, but we have never rented one, as we find the excellent local service buses have taken us everywhere we want to go in a relaxed manner.


Tenerife has far more to offer than just the well-known coastal fringe, and offers excursions to the Jungle Park, Siam Park and Aquapark (free buses locally). Trips to the volcanic area of Mount Teide, and the more authentic and beautiful Spanish villages on the west coast are under two hours drive (often far less).

Further Details:

There is a well-stocked supermarket 3 mins walk from the apartment, with a cash machine at its door. There are many good restaurants and bars of all styles within a few mins walk and the town offers virtually unlimited choice of excellent restaurants.

There is internet access at Reception for a small fee.

Booking Notes:
Please initially contact us to confirm availability of dates.
On confirmation, a 50% deposit is to be paid to our UK bank account (ask for details of our Spanish account for non-UK renters).
The full sum would normally be paid eight weeks prior to arrival at the resort.
Our property managers are on site six days per week to assist with any queries.

Changeover Day:
The 'usual' changeover day on Tenerife is Friday, but we are willing to be flexible on this when possible. We do ask that guests vacate the apartment by 12 noon on date of departure, unless by prior arrangement.

Notes on prices:
Prices are for the property per week in UK Pounds.
Phone us for late availability! Add £20 per week per extra 3rd and 4th person. Late bookings (made 14 days or less prior to entry) rental is only £200 per week.
Please call for rental rates for longer bookings.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund for cancellations more than 30 days before check-in date.
  • 100% refund for cancellations more than 60 days before check-in date.
  • Service Fee fully refunded on cancellations that qualify for 100% refund.
