Apartment in Cala D'or, Majorca - 400 yards from the Beach, Tennis Club and Pool

In a block of 6 privately owned apartments, with well kept mature gardens.The lawned garden in front of the apartment is private and for use of the guests only. The beach is 200 yrds away where there is a Tennis Club and swimming pool with a bar and restaurant in front of the beach where guests can stay all day if they hire sun beds for a cost of 4.50 €. Bars,shops, restaurants and supermarkets are 2 to 3 minutes walk from the apartment. On one level is is ideal for children. The port with all its shops and restaurants is a 7 minute walk. There is a land train that will take you from the apartment all around the 7 sandy coves of Cala D'Or and into the village.

Clean and welcoming, home from home

Visiting for second time this year. Apartment is always spotlessly clean and inviting, a real home from home, It is very comfortable and is fully equipped. We love having breakfast on the rear terrace at this time of the year in the morning sun. I think its our 6th year of renting this apartment now and its a real pleasure to keep returning even though we have holidayed all over the world previously. A real gem for families as well as others, nice and quiet but an easy walk to the beach, shops and resturants. We are about to book for summer 2017 as iy has been very popular with many guests returnin all the time.

Holiday Spoiling Apartment

My advice is to stay well clear of this poorly presented apartment, from is lack of cleanliness, the clearly very old and well used linen and towels,and from my opinion, dangerous electric cables, and broken floor tiles.

We arrived on the Saturday, found and booked an alternative and cleaner apartment by Monday and moved out as soon as we could. The owner offered a 50% refund with the proviso we wouldn't leave a negative review.I would avoid this place like the plague, and also avoid paying him cash as you will have no legal protection. Owner's Response: The guest who wrote this review is the first complaint we have received in 6 years. Their concerns were not brought to our attention until almost the end of the guests holiday. The cleanliness referred to a couple of minor items that the cleaner had missed but could have been easily rectified with a damp cloth, it’s not unusual to have dust in Spain. The linen is spotlessly clean and is changed weekly for the bed linen and twice a week for the towels. The cables referred two are normal and additional extension cables so that UK and EU visitors can plug in a variety of additional devices additional to the wide screen and stereo radio/tape player, and all protected by a modern fuse system that is regularly inspected. Even though this is the first complaint we have ever had we immediately offered the guest an immediate 50% refund even though we are were under no obligation to do so. A couple of lounge floor tiles had cracked as in many other properties due to the exceptional heat this year and were properly sealed by a profesional tiler. until replacements can be sourced and fitted at the end of the season. We are under the impression that the guest was after a free holiday as they left it so late to bring minor cleaning matters to our attention, but even so they were offered immediate compensation which they refused.

Fabulous

We have rented this apartment for 4 years now for both main family holidays in August and also for so called out of season short breaks. This ground floor apartment with private front garden is equipped with everything you could need for both family and couples/friends breaks. It is beautifully mainatained and very well furnished with great kitchen and covered terrace to wile away the hot afternoons. The beach is about 200 yards away. Situated is a quiet residential area amongst many large villas, it is an easy and level walking distance to a great variety of shops and restaurants.

Coast/Beach:

There are seven sandy coves in Cala D'Or. The nearest to the apartment is across the road 200 yrds. There is a snack bar on the beach and sunbeds can be hired if required. The land train that stops 200yrds from the apartment will take you to all the other sandy coves and return you later to where you got on.

Travel:

Palma is the airport for Mallorca. Cala D'Or is a 40 minutes drive. Car hire is available, as are airport transfers. A car is not essential.

Distances:

Excursions from Cala D'Or can be booked to all the many places of interest on the island. The nearest towns Santanyi, and Manacor have weekly markets that can be visited. Boat trips leave from the beaches and the port, that will take you around the coast.

Further Details:

Cala D'Or has many restaurants to suit all taste. Within a few minutes walk of the apartment you have several shops bars, restaurants, a bank and a chemist. There is also a large play area for children.

The apartment is booked from either Friday or Saturday. Mid week on request. There is a 30% deposit and the balance to be paid 10 weeks before the departure date.

Changeover Day:
Arrival days are flexible. Departure is by 10am arrival by 2pm. This also can be flexible by agreement depending on arrival of incoming guest.

  • Notes on accommodation: Cots and high chair are charged at £15 each per week. Airport transfers can be arranged. The property is very suitable for children as it is all on one level with a lawned front garden and near to the beach. If there is a child that sleeps in a cot with the party then 4 adults plus the child can be booked. Outside: There is a shaded patio to the front of the apartment with a table and 4 chairs. Two further areas to the rear also with a table and 4 chairs. The lawned area at the front has 4 sunbeds. There is a portable BBQ. There is a tennis club across the road next to the beach with a large pool, bar and restaurant. The pool can be used all day if sunbeds are purchased.The price of a sunbed for the whole day at the club is 4.50 euros. Utility Room: Washing machine. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and linen are included. Towels are changed mid week and linen at weekends. The apartment is cleaned twice a week. Other: The large double bedroom is well furnished with a king size bed. There is also room for a cot if it is needed. The large twin bedroom is also well furnished and very spacious.
