About the property

Villa in Oliva, Costa Del Azahar - Peaceful Location, 10 Minute Drive to the Beach

Registration number - VT 35909V.

The villa is situated in the hills behind the typically Spanish town of Oliva at the southern end of the Costa del Azahar and is reached by a 10 mins drive from the town. It is approached by a private road and has panoramic views across the terraced orange groves down to the Mediteranean sea. The arched terrace area allows you to sit during the day listening to the sound of the birds and in the evening, provides a covered eating area. The landscaped garden includes mature almond trees, topiary, a large lawned area and beautiful plants including wisteria and bourgainvillea. The sunbathing terrace invites you to top up your sun tan before taking a dip in the large freshwater swimming pool. Through the electric gates there is ample secure parking and the children’s play area includes a tree house, swing, and slide. The hot tub, situated in a secluded area of the grounds, comfortably seats 6 people. The villa has full central heating and air conditioning in the living areas.

About Elaine Hyderman

We bought our property in Spain a few years ago to follow the dream I had about living in the Mediterranean someday. That day came sooner than we imagined as we decided to take a deep breath and move out here permanently following my being made redundant at the start of the recession in 2009. Having spent a lifetime in a high powered, demanding Sales Management position we felt that the pace of life, quality of environment and value for money in Spain was so much better than we were used to in the UK. We had used a management company to look after our guests previously but felt that not only could we do just as good a job but also offer that personal touch which can make a holiday feel really special. We love living here and hope that anyone who visits will love it just as much.

Elaine Hyderman purchased this villa in 2006

Why Elaine Hyderman chose Valencia Province

We chose the area around Oliva as it remains very Spanish. The old town is beautiful with it's squares and blue domed churches. But the beaches in this area are unbelievable. Mile after mile of beautiful sand, shelving water and the warm Mediterranean sea. The price differences between here and the more traditional resorts are also an attraction. You can still get a 3 course lunch with wine for under 10 euros. The Friday market offers great value for money and some real bargains for gifts. Of course the weather too makes a big difference - sunshine for over 300 days a year means you can make the most of your outside space. I have to be honest too, a good bottle of Rioja or Pinot Grigio for under 3 euros means sitting and watching the sun go down is a real treat!

What makes this villa unique

We fell in love with Casa Nialto at first sight. As we drove out of the town and up through the orange groves we felt that we were going to a different world. To be able to swim in the large pool in total privacy and see the sea from the large garden was exactly what we wanted. All this only 5 kms from the town is perfect. The children's play area and the hot tub were a real bonus and sitting in the hot tub at night watching the falling stars is so romantic. The air quality here is amazing and with no streetlamps at night the view of the town, beach and night sky is truly stunning. But best of all when you are sitting and relaxing on the veranda in the evening as the sun goes down, listening to the crickets you feel as if you have all the time in the world to simply chill.

Fantastic Family Villa

  • 4 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay at this villa. With 3 children from 5 to 12 they loved the space to play, relax and the pool was the best addition.

We hired a car to get around which allowed us to freely explore Oliva, Gandia and Valencia.

The Oceanographic, Museum of Sciences and the Bioparc in central Valencia are Brilliant for a family visit. The stretch of beach from Valencia to Olivia 10 mins away from the villa offered lots of choice and everything needed for the beach was at the villa which was really helpful.

Bill and Elaine nearby if needed was a comfort.

The only slight negative was the air conditioning wasn't as effective in the bedrooms as would have liked, there were fans and the windows opened in the morning helped. It was a heatwave when we were there and the main living area was lovely and cool when needed.

Plenty of supermarkets and pharmacies nearby.

Beautiful, peaceful views of the orange groves with hilly surroundings was very relaxing.

Wonderful Family Break!

  • 5 of 5

We were considering several properties in the area for our break but the large pool & the kids playground swung it for us & we were not disappointed! A very well appointed villa, nicely sized with a fantastic pool, hot tub & playground. Elaine & Bill are excellent hosts who provided everything we could have required. Kids loved splashing around in the pool, playing in the playground, on the trampoline and trying their hand at ping pong! Plenty of space for the adults to sit by the pool & relax, spent each evening in the hot tub & then relaxing on the front porch in peace & tranquillity. That the villa is up in the hills means that there are very few vehicles or people around, it is the perfect place to get away from it all and relax yet the beach is within 15 minutes drive. Plenty of supplies in the local town & Elaine & Bill have plenty of recommendations of where to eat locally although we were reluctant to leave the villa! A very relaxing break enjoyed by all & we will be back!!

Wonderful family holiday in gorgeous surroundings

  • 5 of 5

We have visited this villa several times, our most recent trip being in early June of this year. We have 2 young children and so it is important to us that we have our own space and privacy, with space for the children to play and run around, without feeling like we are intruding on other guests.

This villa really offers everything for a small family, from a wonderful big garden and hot tub under the canopy, through to the swimming pool with plenty of inflatable toys and gated access for safety and peace of mind. The views are wonderful, offering a glimpse of the ocean through the orange groves, and the mountain location offers peace and quiet, whilst being only a short drive away from the nearest town with all the amenities you could wish for, including a good childrens playground in the centre and bustling market on a Friday.

The villa itself is well equipped with everything you could need for a restful break, including large, comfortable beds, a beautiful family bathroom and an open plan lounge/kitchen/diner with TV and a good selection of DVDs, games and books.

Our favourite part of the holiday was sipping prosecco in the hot tub under the stars, and having a competitive game of table tennis as the sun went down. Perfect! We will definitely be back.

A home from home with added luxuries

  • 5 of 5

We have returned to this villa again as it is hard to find something comparable.

The villa offers such wonderful and private accommodation and outside space for a family to enjoy and relax in the Spanish sun but is also only a short drive from the beach and all local amenities.

The pool is always a winner with everyone but the safety fence gives you peace of mind with any little ones. Children of various ages were also occupied by the extensive range of toys and outside equipment (trampoline, table tennis, tree house, swing, slide). It is really appreciated and has been very cleverly thought through to provide so many options to entertain younger ones and older ones without having to venture out all day. The hot tub is such a luxury and we enjoyed a few glasses of bubbles in there during the warm evenings. The views are beautiful from every angle of this villa. In this small urbanisation you really do feel you are away from it all, it's not overlooked so we don't disturb anyone but are really close to the town for everything we need.

Olivia beach and the beaches in the villages and towns only a few minutes drive are all fantastic-soft golden sand and clear shallow water.

It's only an hour to the bustling metropolis of Valencia or Benidorm with many sites for extensive day trips including safari or bio parcs, water parks, theme parks, beaches, markets, bars etc

The villa is always spotless and Elaine and Bill really look after us in every aspect from welcome package, restaurant recommendations, assisting with our Spanish and making sure everything is perfect for our holiday.

Thank you and see you again soon!

Zalig zonnige vakantie in fantastische woning

  • 5 of 5
