Villa Rose (3 Bedroom, Sleeps 6)

Villa Rose has three bedrooms (one double, two twins), all air-conditioned with private balconies. Bedrooms 1 and 2, on the raised ground floor, share a WC/shower room. A further bathroom with jacuzzi is on the first floor. Bedroom 3 (sloping ceiling) is on the top floor with its own WC/shower room, and has a large roof terrace with views over the harbour.

On the first floor, the spacious open-plan living/dining room/kitchen leads on to large wraparound balcony. The well-equipped kitchen has fridge-freezer, kettle, toaster, water cooler,microwave,iron and ironing board, oven and hob, dishwasher and washing machine, as well as a good range of utensils and tableware. The living room is furnished with comfortable sofas, together with a dining table and chairs. DVD player. WiFi connection.

Access from the house to the pool is via one flight of steps from the ground floor.

Villa Rose and Koru Apartment provide the ideal home-from-home for your holiday in Mediterranean Turkey. Set in a quiet residential area just 5 minutes’ walk from Kalkan’s picturesque town centre and harbour, with stunning views across the bay, this spacious property is perfect for families, couples or groups of friends. The house, spread over three floors, sleeps six people in three bedrooms. The one-bedroom apartment, which sleeps two people is on the ground floor with direct access to the pool. The two properties can be taken together or individually and are beautifully furnished in Turkish contemporary style, with fully-equipped fitted kitchens and bathrooms. Outside, there is a well-tended garden, stocked with native shrubs, and a good-sized swimming-pool with plenty of sun loungers for lazy afternoons soaking up the sun. Supermarkets, cafes and restaurants can be found just a few metres from the property and all of the amenities of Kalkan are within a few minutes walk.

Booking Notes:
Please call or email the owner, Linda Bestwick. The property can be provisionally reserved for a maximum of 7 days, with reservations only confirmed on receipt of a 25% non-returnable deposit. A damage deposit of £100 to be paid with the final balance due six weeks before the date of arrival (or at the time of booking if less than six weeks before arrival). Payment is by online bank transfer or cash. Damage dep will be returned within one week of your return home if no major breakages / damage

Changeover Day:
Changeover days are flexible, subject only to availability. Arrival time is normally 4pm and departure 11am, though we try to be flexible where the arrival/departure of other guests allows. Minimum stay is one week.

Notes on accommodation: Towels and bedlinen and provided (except beach towels) and are changed at the end of each week. The properties are cleaned weekly, though a mid-week clean and linen change can be arranged at an extra charge. Both properties are air-conditioned and all utility costs are included. Please note that the owners live on site, but the pool and garden are for the exclusive use of guests. The house and apartment have free internet connection. Outside: Entrance to the house is via a terrace at first floor level (the apartment is down one flight of steps). The good-sized pool is shared between the apartment and house. Plenty of sun loungers, chairs and umbrellas are provided. The pool is set in a pleasant garden, stocked with native shrubs, flowers and trees, which enhance the feeling of privacy. Street parking is available close to the entrance to the property.

honeymoon heaven!!

We arrived at our apartment and immediately felt comfortable, maybe a little bit out dated but as we didnt spend muh time there wasnt an issue. We had a microwave, hob, fridge and washing machine so that was good. The swimming pool was lovely and the garden, 11 cats & 2 tortoises, met the owner which was nice and Osii who we'd been e mailing. Everywhere was clean and looked after and only a 5 minute walk into Kalkan town centre, we had been last year so we knew where everything was. We will be back again next year.

The property is just a few minutes’ downhill walk to Kalkan’s harbour and small beach. A number of neaby ‘beach clubs’ offer sun loungers and waiter service on sunbathing platforms with direct access to the sea. The beautiful, sandy beaches of Kaputas and Patara are about five and 20 minutes’ drive away respectively. Kas, 25 minutes away, has several beach clubs and two small pebbly beaches, as well as 3 or 4 sand/pebble beaches across the harbour at Liman Agzi (10 mins by local boat service).


Kalkan is just over one and a half hour’s drive by car from Dalaman Airport, and approximately three and a half hours from Antalya. The owners of the property, who also own Kalkan’s popular and long-standing Abi Travel travel and tour agency, can arrange airport transfers and car hire at competitive prices. More locally, dolmuses run frequently to nearby Kas (via Kaputas beach) and, in the opposite direction, to Patara and then on to Xanthos and Fethiye.

Kekova: 1 hour

Xanthos: 30 minutes

Saklikent Gorge: 45 minutes

Fethiye: 1 hour, 15 minutes

The property is a very easy walk to all of Kalkan’s shops and services, as well as its large array of bars, cafés and restaurants, which cater to practically every budget and taste from a simple Turkish breakfast to gourmet international cuisine. For guests who wish to eat in on some evenings, there are well-stocked supermarkets, as well as good local butchers, greengrocers and patisseries. The bus station and local Thursday market are a short stroll away, as are the PTT and banking facilities.
