Apartment in Burgau, Western Algarve - Stunning Location close to Beach and Golf

The apartment is only a few minutes walk from Burgau’s good range of restaurants, bars and its beautiful beach - one of the best in the Algarve. Burgau is just 10 minutes drive from Lagos and two of the Algarve’s best golf courses. The apartment was completed in January 2007 and all rooms are furnished to a very high standard. The lounge and two bedrooms benefit from a balcony with sea and countryside views. These views are even more stunning from the very large (private) roof terrace where you can enjoy dinner under the stars. Both areas have plenty of seating and sun lounges and with the apartment facing west you can enjoy the sun until the very end of the day.Burgau is situated on the edge of a national park and is still a working fishing village Burgau's unique charm is the village's ability to appeal to everyone, regardless of age or interests. People who have been once usually come back time after time.

Another fabulous stay

We have stayed in this lovely apartment many times. Its like home from home and very well equipped and always spotlessly clean.The welcome pack is much appreciated. Ana Marie is always on hand should you need her. We had a fantastic 2 week stay, the weather was unbelievable we spent many hours sunbathing on the rooftop. Can't wait to return.

Wow, what a stunning apartment!

Beautifully furnished apartment containing everything you could possibly need for your holiday, the owner really has thought of everything and was exactly as listed on the website. A family of 4 with 2 teenagers, the body boards were a great success on the beach, as was the excellent wifi and TV set up in the apartment, a necessity for teenagers in down time! Only a short walk to the beach which was stunning. Lots of lovely restaurants in the village (Pre-book if possible as they get booked up) we loved the Beach Bar, Casa Padrana and A Barraca. Excellent service from the owners and also the team on site, the welcome pack of food was a nice touch after a long journey. We would definitely recommend to friends and will visit again.

Superb Stay

We had a wonderful time at Julia and Andrew's apartment. We were very impressed by the overall quality of the apartment. It was spotless and everything we needed was provided and in very good order. The welcome pack was a nice surprise and Ana-Maria was very attentive and helpful throughout our stay. We liked it so much that we have already booked again for next year. We made good use of Tomik, a nearby restaurant which is very handy and very good. We also tried the new gourmet burger restaurant which does great burgers and fabulous grilled beef (actually fillet steak.) Everything is within walking distance of the apartment; beach, shops and restaurants, so a car is not required. We loved it.

Quality apartment, beautiful resort

Excellent, well appointed apartment, perfectly situated in a quiet spot, but only a couple of minutes from Burgau's shops and restaurants. The welcome pack was thoughtful and appreciated and Anna Maria is extremely helpful and available should you need anything. Will definitely book this apartment again.

Beautiful apartment

Have been to Burgau several times and this apartment was the best for comfort and location. It is a lovely apartment, equipped with everything you would need. A home from home. Close to the shops, restaurants and beach. Owners are extremely helpful when booking. Will definitely book again.

Activity and Interests

Coast/Beach:

The beautiful beach of Burgau - one of the best and safest in the Algarve is just a few minutes walk. There are numerous other beaches within 10 minutes drive east or west. Just 15 minutes drive west are some less well known but among the most stunning beaches you will ever see.

Travel:

Faro Airport is an hours drive away. The new motorway is virtually empty outside the main August holidays making it a comfortable and straightforward journey.

Distances:

The development is in Burgau itself and only a few minutes walk from its restaurants and local shops. Luz is a 5 minute drive with a wider range of restaurants, shops and a larger supermarket.Lagos - a beautiful, historic town with its own marina - is 10 minutes drive. Anybody that likes to explore can really enjoy Burgau as their base to travel to the west coast (beautiful beaches/surfing). Monchique (mountains/ spa).Sagres (the end of the world/great sunsets).

Further Details:

For the children, Lagos Zoo is 15 minutes drive, there is an excellent riding school within 5 minutes, two huge waterparks are within 30 minutes and ZooMarine - with its aquatic animal shows and small theme park – is just 35 minutes away.

Notes:

  • Notes on accommodation: The apartment has air conditioning (also provides heating for winter evenings). Outside: The large roof terrace is well equipped with a table and seating for six and sun loungers. There is a BBQ on the balcony with additional seating and a table. The apartments enjoy their own own clubhouse, restaurant/bar pool, gym, sauna, spa and steambath. Access to all is via an electronic gate (card supplied). Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: The apartment is cleaned once a week. Bed linen and towels are provided (not beach towels). A travel cot, high chair and baby buggy (for emergencies) are all available free of charge. A small welcome pack is provided (no charge). Other: The apartment benefits from its own 90m sq private - west/south facing - roof terrace which has stunning views of the sea and countryside.
