This villa, in which the owners were involved with the architect throughout the construction was built in 2007. They have lovingly created a beautiful and characterful "home from home" in Kalkan - a place they have been visiting for 23 years. Set in a peaceful location just a few minutes walk to the seafront withh swimming platforms, restaurant and water taxi. The villa has a glorious roof terrace offering spectacular views across Kalkan bay.
We have had the most fantastic holiday ever! Your villa is beautiful. Our youngest son said it was like being in paradise. None of us wanted to come home. The boys just loved the pool and being so close to the sea too was a big plus - we couldn't have been better situated. We all agreed Kalkan was the best place to stay. Ian & Janet.
We are two couples who were having a villa holiday for the first time, and what an amazing holiday we had at Villa Kisla Han!
We have all fallen in love with Kalkan and will certainly be returning in the future. The villa owner (Sue) could not have been more helpful before the holiday and gave us all the information we needed about the villa and locality. The villa is beautiful, spotless and perfectly positioned. Everything we needed was on hand and I can't think of anything the owners haven't thought of. It was wonderful to have our own pool and swim before breakfast and in the evening. Sitting on the roof terrace with a glass of wine watching the sunset is magical!
The caretaker (Sukru) was very helpful on arrival (even though it was 11.30pm when we arrived he was outside waiting with a smile!) Sue also arranged our transfers with ABI Travel who were also excellent.
We loved catching the boat from Kalkan beach club (5 mins away) by night for the trip across the bay (they even let you take your drinks on board) and ate at some superb restaurants every night, then took a taxi home which was quick and cheap. Don't let the fact the villa is on the other side of the bay from the main town put you off. The boat taxi runs every half hour right up until 10pm and is only 5TL per person each way. Taxis are plentiful for your journey home at the end of the night and cost around 20TL (about £6). Approaching the town by water when it's all lit up at night is stunning!
We never had a bad meal in Kalkan all week and enjoyed the cocktail bars and also drinks near the villa at Bob's Café, which was handy for daily shopping, he also did a mean full English on our first morning as we were all starving!
By far the best restaurant we tried in Kalkan was Seaport, on the harbour. We went there twice! The owner is Yusuf and he and his waiters fell over themselves to make us happy and they were so friendly and welcoming. We also loved The Olive Garden and had a real Turkish experience at Authentic where we tried the Shisha after the meal (and none of us are smokers!) You won't be short of places to eat.
We had days at Kalkan Beach Club and also Palm Beach, and took a taxi trip to Patara Beach for a day.
Thanks to Sue for all her invaluable help and information beforehand, We can certainly recommend this villa and hope to stay here again in the future.
Just to say thankyou so much for lending us your lovely villa again. We had another great holiday and I would happily recommend the villa and the beautiful area. This time there were 5 of us and there was more than enough space for us all. My dad (his first time) loved the view from the sitting room and from the top floor. Your caretaker gave us a warm welcome and the villa was spotlessly clean and comfortable on arrival. He kept the pool area and garden looking great as well. The welcome pack was much appreciated as well.
The swimming platforms and slide at the beach park were much enjoyed by the big and little kids and we did enjoy getting the boat taxi across to Kalkan (restaurants as good as ever and this time we discovered the clothes shops as well). The nearby archeological sites are fantastic and we all enjoyed the visit to Patara beach and the sunken city as well. We even persuaded by 80 year old dad into the ringos at Saklikant George to round the holiday off - a great time had by all.
Thankyou again and I'm sure we will be back.

I can highly recommend the Kishla Han Villa for a holiday - as well as being modern, clean, with extremely effective air-conditioning (vital in August!) and a great pool, its only a few minutes away from the crystal clear waters of the Med. The owners made booking a breeze and organised all the airport transfers which were seemless.
We were a 3 generation family on holiday in Kalkan. Children aged 11, 9 and 7. The villa was absolutely great for our needs. Su was incredibly helpful in advance and ensured all things were in place including transfers, excursions etc. The villa was well maintained, the maintenance man (Shukru) was great - nothing was too much trouble. Well equipped kitchen with everything you could possibly want. Great showers, beautiful views from all the balconies. It was just what we needed.
Pool was great, beach club - minutes walk away was fab - great restaurant, cheap beers and fabulous sea. Kalkan is an absolutely superb destination for a family holiday - the trip from the airport may have need 2 hours but it was by far one of the most pleasant airport transfers I have ever done. Wide, open roads, no traffic, excellent standard of vehicles and driving and clean toilets at the road side. What more can you ask for when travelling with children? Kalkan town was lovely - friendly people, lovely restaurants, and great courtesy in the shops in the town. We had a stupendous day on a boat cruising round the nearby coves, with an amazing lunch on board. We didn't hire a care - but it was really easy to rely on the local taxis, that were reasonable, and easily available when we needed them . It was great that Su provided a local mobile phone for use of guests.
Our holiday was great - with no problems or hassle. I would thoroughly recommend it.
Coast/Beach:
We are approx. 5-10 mins. walk to Kalkan Beach Club with shingle beach, sunbeds, cafe, watersports & water taxi to Kalkan harbour. Other local clubs include Villa Mahal, Club Patara Prince & Palm Beach, all offering boat service to Kalkan Harbour. Kalamar club (other side of Kalkan), Patara Prince & spa & Palm Beach offer free car collect & return service. Stunning Kaputas beach 10 mins by car. Bob's cafe/minimart 3 mins. walk. Centre of Kalkan 5 mins. by car or about half an hour walk.
Travel:
The nearest airport is Dalaman approximately 1 1/2 - 2 hrs. We can recommend a travel agent in the UK who specializes in flights to Turkey, and also assist in arranging transfers and car hire. It is not essential to have a car at the villa as taxis are easily available. Taxi drivers will also negotiate a good value daily rate to take you sightseeing.
Distances:
Kalkan is 5 minutes by car. Islamlar, mountain village, is 20 mins. drive where you can enjoy the famous trout restaurants whilst taking in breathtaking views of Kalkan and beyond. Berzigan is a fascinating village sitting on the bed of an old lake above Kalkan where traditional farming is a fascination to visitors. Other interesting local sites include Lettoon, Xanthos, Tlos, Patara Beach (20km long & home of protected turtles & noteable Roman remains) and the Saklikent Gorge.
Further Details:
Kisla is a quiet residential area set in a cove in Kalkan bay served by a small supermarket and restaurant "Bob's" (good for daily fresh bread) and who also offers take-away/free delivery meals. There are other restaurants very close by such as the Fidanka Hotel, or Villa Mahal, an acclaimed hotel with restaurant and beach club for both residents and non-residents. Kalkan is a beautiful harbour resort surrounded by breathtaking scenery at the foot of the Taurus mountains. The village retains an authentic Turkish feel with narrow streets, colourful shops and an abundance of restaurants and bars. Many of the latter have roof terraces with stunning views of the mountains and bay where one can while away the hours. There are also banks, post-office, supermarkets etc. On Thursday Kalkan has a market where you can purchase anything from fresh produce, spices, clothes and kitchenware.
