Great Location for town and beach, perfect for families with lovely pool area

This new modern, spacious apartment is situated on a small development behind the Marina, in the historic town of Lagos, on the western tip of the Algarve. There is a pool on the complex, with showers/WC and changing facilities. From the pool, there is a lovely view out over the sea. The lively 'Marina de Lagos' is only a couple of minutes away with its many excursions available (dolphin watching, fishing, diving plus many more). This property is in an ideal position for anyone who enjoys golf, as the Palmares and Boa Vista golf clubs are close by. There is a supermarket 2 mins away (Pingo Doce) and Intermarche and Continente are only a 10 min drive. Lagos has all the amenities that you would expect from any town. Supermarkets, post office, bank machines etc. There are a fine selection of bars and restaurants. Also there are art galleries, linen shops, clothes & shoe shops. At the Marina, you will find offers coastal boat trips, dolphin trips and individual boat hire + more restaurants.

My partner Peter and I brought our lovely apartment 11 years ago, after falling in love with Lagos and the wonderful portuguese people.

We live in West Sussex, where Peter runs his own business and I work at Gatwick Airport.

The location is fabulous, and we have made some good friends over the years.

The small complex is perfect for families all year. In the off-peak seaons, June, Sept and October, the weather is still fabulous, and you can sometimes have the whole pool area to yourselves. Perfect for unwinding and relaxing in the hot sun.

What makes this apartment unique

The property has it own private back garden, equipped with sunloungers and table & chairs for those evening bar-be-que's.

Notes on accommodation: The apartment has central heating, electric shutters on windows and doors. We have installed smoke alarms, fire extinguishers, a carbon dioxide alarm, and have a fire blanket in the kitchen. There is also a 1st aid box with a supply of plasters, sterile wipes etc for any small cuts, if needed. For our smaller guests, we have a cot, highchair and stair gate, all supplied free of charge. A Hairdryer is also provided. The apartment is lovely and cool in the summer, but we have plenty of free standing fans available, if required.There is a video entry phone installed. Loungers for the pool are provided. A provision pack can be arranged for a small supplement, if required. The property has been inspected and has been issued with aTourist License. Our property manager will meet you at the apartment on your arrival and show you around, and show you how everything works. No smoking allowed inside property. Outside: The private back garden has the sun most of the day. There are 4 sunloungers, a parasol, and a patio table and 6 chairs. We have extra fold up garden chairs stored in the apartment, if required. There is also a bar-b-que for those evening meals on the patio. 6 loungers for pool use are also provided. Utility Room: Downstairs next to the shower room is a store room which has an ironing board, clothes airer, plus a cool box for picnics (ice blocks in freezer) and spare fold up deckchairs for car/beach/pool etc. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels/ linen are provided for up to 6 guests. Please bring your own beach towels as these are not provided. A mid week linen/towel change, plus a clean through the apartment is included on two week bookings.

Outstanding Villa in excellent location.

We've recently returned from a fantastic 2 week stay at the Villa with 6 family members and our 2 year old daughter.

We were there for 14th June to 29th June and enjoyed every minute. We were made to feel extremely welcome by Debbie. Who arranged out transfers from the Airport with Pedro the Taxi driver .

Pedro was very helpful with everything, full of good advice and nothing is too much trouble for him.

We had a lovely villa with fantastic views. The villa is situated in a great position, it's very relaxing and everything is within walking distance. The old town is just a 10 min stroll away with lovely restaurants and shops.

We are now trying to work out when we can go back as we enjoyed the holiday, location and villa so much. The villa is fully equipped so its like going from home to home.

Lovely holiday. Lagos has all you can want in a holiday

Lovely break

A lovely apartment, with a swimming pool close by. Distance to the town via the marina is about a 20 min walk but a taxi ride back is only 5 euros.

With a small supermarket near by and the large Pingo Doce a taxi ride away you can get all the items you need.

Fantastic Holiday Apartment

We really enjoyed our stay in this light, airy and very spacious apartment. It was well equipped with everything you need for holiday.

The information and help we were given from the owners before and after booking was excellent and very welcome.

The apartment and surrounding area is very quiet and relaxing and an ideal place to unwind.The pretty patio area at the back of the apartment was ideal for b-b-q s and relaxing in the sun .

The pool was refreshing and very welcome in the hot June weather! It was great to have your own sunbeds and uninterrupted views of the sea.

Having visited Portugal a couple of times before , we all agreed that Lagos was a great place to stay for all ages. It has a great selection of bars and restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets. Beautiful beaches and the chance to try out many varied water sports adds to the attraction.

We would definitely love to return.

Really nice apartment in quiet development

The apartment was very spacious and well equipped. . The development is very quiet including the pool area which is lovely and well kept. However there are no ball games or music allowed by the pool so it probably wouldn't suit a lively family.

You can see the sea in the distance from the pool and the whole development is bordered by open ground so it doesn't feel in any way ' built up'

Location about 15 minutes walk to the beach and about the same into the town . It's uphill on the way back from the town which is fine even if you're averagely fit but if you didn't fancy the walk back, taxis are numerous and cheap ( about £4).

We really enjoyed our stay. Couldn't fault anything. Another key to the pool area would be a good idea as we were a party of adults so if one of our party went in ahead , others of us couldn't get in !

We really enjoyed our stay in this apartment and would return

The bedroom downstairs takes some getting used to as it adjoins the garage but it's huge and spacious

The apartment is very spacious outside and in and would accomadtae 8 if necessary

It's a 15 min walk into Lagos where there are plenty of restaurants and great beaches

The value for money was excellent !

The beach at Meia Praia is a 10 - 15 minute walk, or a 2 min drive, plenty of free parking along the coast road by the 7km stretch of wonderful, clean, golden sands.

There are lot of other wonderful beaches and sandy coves all aroung the coastal area of Lagos. 'Praia De Ana' one of the most famous beaches on the Algarve is only a few minutes by car.


Faro airport is a 50 minute drive. Car Hire is recommended.

The A22 motorway makes the journey from the airport very simple to Lagos.

Bus transfers from faro airport can bring you either directly to the apartment or to the drop of point at the vita sol complex at the top of our road, which is only a 2 minute walk.


Lagos town is a 15 mins walk or 02 mins drive, free parking is available at the marina, where a footbridge connects the marina to the promenade and shops, restaurants and bars of the town.

The fishing port of Portimao is a 20 mins drive, and the beautiful Monchique mountains, with its spas and villages, are only a 40 mins drive.

The historic town of Silves, with its old fortress, is also a 40 min drive.

Further Details:

The cobbled streets of Lagos host a large variety of restaurants, bars and bistros.

You will find Chinese restaurants, Steak houses, and restaurants that specialize in local fresh seafood.

To keep the kids happy, Pizza Hut and McDonald are also the town.

A daily fish market is held on the promenade, close to the town square, where a large variety of fish and shellfish can be brought.
