Well located apartment in Puerto Pollensa, Mallorca - Ultra Convenient Location For Beach And Town

This lovely top 2nd floor apartment is very well equipped and ideal for couples. It is only 50m from Pollensa’s broad sandy beach and is located in a quiet cul-de-sac just back from the main promenade. The apartment is very comfortably furnished with a lounge dining area leading directly to a private south facing balcony. The one double bedroom has ample wardrobe space and a modern well equipped bathroom alongside. The modern kitchen is well fitted and there’s a large communal roof terrace with wonderful views of both the bay and the mountains behind. The private pool has plenty of sun loungers provided and ample parking in the cul-de-sac. The town centre, Marina and Pine walk are a five minute stroll away, which means one of the best restaurants (The Stay) on the island is on your doorstep, as are cafes, bars and shops and of course Pollensa’s fantastic beaches. You’ll find WI-FI installed, a flat screen TV, satellite receiver, DVD and CD.

About The Owner

My wife and family have lived in Puerto Pollensa for over ten years and have slowly built up a small personal letting business specialising in well equipped apartments in the resort. We know that it's important to clients that we are on hand and we meet every arrival individually and again see them off, returning their deposit in person, on the day they leave.

The Owner purchased this apartment in 2005

Puerto Pollensa is a peaceful family resort and the world class Pine Walk is a stunning feature of 'The Port'. To own a home here is an aspiration shared by many, but until that day any can rent and enjoy our beautiful bay.

What makes this apartment unique

Our apartments are all air-conditioned and heated, all have WI-FI, most have pools and three have private roof terraces. All have satellite TV receiving the UK free to air channels and all are comfortably furnished. Notes on accommodation: The large roof terrace is one flight of steps up from the apartment and there's a secure private locked storage room with sun beds, bicycles etc. Please, no bikes in the apartment. We request no smoking inside the apartment. Outside: The pool is private and shared between the 15 apartments and is approximately 10 x 4 metres. Sun loungers are provided for guests. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and linen included and flats cleaned and prepared before arrival. Linen only changed weekly. Other: South facing balcony equipped with dining table and comfortable chairs.

My wife and I have been to Puerto Pollensa many times and stayed in various places we found this apartment excellent, ideally located for the beach and restaurants, it was spotless and had everything we needed plus. It was nice that the owner Ian Tegg met us on arrival and departure many others don't. Like it so much we have booked for 2016.

A little piece of Heaven!

We were delighted to find that the apartment exceeded our expectations. It was tastefully furnished, well equipped and perfectly located. We were really impressed with the balcony (perfect for breakfast, G and T and late night chilling out.), the pool and the excellent air-conditioning. It was lovely to be greeted by the owner on arrival. He proved to be a very welcoming host with a fund of useful local knowledge and nothing was too much trouble for him. While there we thoroughly enjoyed the walks, the cycling, local visits and much wonderful eating out. It was nice to see the owner at the end of our stay and we look forward to a return visit if it's not booked out by the many friends we are recommending it to!

We stayed in this apartment earlier this month. I agree with Daniel's review in that it was indeed clean and tidy though I would not describe it as spacious. The settee is grubby and needs replacing or recovering and the comfy chair is stained. Like Mr Lane we also found shower tiles missing and loose, infact, we had quite a collection by the end of the week. The shower needs a good scrub and the rusty towel hooks need replacing. The boiler temperature was set at 80c which made the shower scaldingly hot but we reduced this to a safer 60c. The progamme switch on the washing machine is very difficult to work until you 'learn' the knack. We also were bothered by two residents who did not want us to take our hire bikes upstairs into the apartment. These were extremely expensive bikes which needed to be stored securely. We would not stay here again.

Owner's Response: Our apartment is a one bedroom apartment, unsuited to storing two expensive road cycles in, which is surprising as we pointed out our locked secure room available one floor up on the communal roof. The water heater is brand new, very adjustable in temperature and I suspect the guests who left just before Mrs K arrived had moved it up, but correcting it is very easy. As to the furniture, this is a very unfair criticism, but at the end of a very busy season wear and tear is more noticeable. But please for future guests, if you are renting bicycles, please don't store them within our apartment.

Excellent and lived up to expectations

My wife and I stayed at the property back in May and I am happy to say that we will be returning next year. The area is secluded with great access to the beach for those that want the best of both worlds. This was our first time to the area and we are already planning to go back next year.

We have travelled across Spain and we certainly prefer this type of traditional setting to get the real "Spanish" experience.

The property was clean and tidy and all went to plan in regards to key collection. All the apartment features were explained to us upon arrival. There is plenty to do and see in the area and overall I feel that we got great value for money.

Great location, lovely one bed apartment

We have stayed at the this apartment for the last two years running and it seems to be very popular and we were disappointed when we found it unavailable this year during the period we wanted. It has one double bedroom and is ideal for a couple looking for a quiet location. The apartment itself has always been very clean and tidy and although the furnishings are basic they are more than adequate for a holiday break with all the facilities working fine. It is situated in a perfect location being just a hundred yards from the lovely sandy beach and a local shop at the end of the road to get essential provisions. Puerto Pollensa town and Pine walk are about 5 -10 minutes stroll away with plenty of fine restaurants to choose from. It also backs on to a nature reserve making it all round a very appealing location. The pool is a nice size and we assumed that the other half dozen or so apartments in the block must be owner occupied as we never saw any other holiday makers there and always seem to have to the pool to ourselves.

The rental agency is run by ex pats, who are very friendly and helpful, they also arrange an excellent transport service to and from Palma Airport. For there’s no real need to hire a car here as everything is within walking distance with very enjoyable ferry trips to other nearby beaches.

We'll definitely be staying here again if it's available, highly recommended.

My wife and I stayed at this apartment for two weeks in June of this year.The positives were the location as it was close to the beach and in a relatively quiet area.However the photographs and description of the apartment were somewhat misleading.The decor was tired and in need of updating.Although generally clean the shower had tiles missing and it need of a good clean.The fridge salad trays were dirty with mould and had not been cleaned for sometime.The roof terrace was nothing more than a place to hang washing and the pool was hardly inviting as it was situated adjacent to a car parking area.I certainly would not recommend it to any of my friends and two weeks was too long .

Owner's Response: It is always disappointing when a guest fails to mention anything they feel should be brought to our attention during their stay but prefer to wait several weeks after their departure to write a harsh review. We have been offering this apartment for six years, with the exact same photographs and description via Owners Direct and have many loyal regulars who love staying there and this year, as usual, the entire apartment was redecorated throughout. There are no cars parked next to the pool, but the communal roof terrace is used by some residents to dry washing, that is what happens in Spain. We have to hold our hands up and admit there were a few of the tiny 1" tiles missing in the shower, but they have been replaced. These guests got off to a bad start at Palma airport and their mood travelled with them to the apartment and we would probably not recommend them to any of our fellow owners.

Palma airport serves the island and for those wanting to explore we suggest hiring a car from the airport, but all you need is within easy walking distance of this apartment if you want a break from driving. We can arrange for our own driver and car to meet you at the airport and please ask for full details when reserving.
