A lovely spacious 3 storey house with landscaped rear garden and private parking. Large roof terrace with spectacular sea and panoramic mountain views-perfect for relaxation and dining alfresco. Comfortably furnished to a very high standard to give a' home from home feel'. The property is situated in a peaceful location amidst orange/lemon and olive groves within the renowned 'Akamas National Park'. Ideal for cycling/bird-watching/walking, or just to relax. Close to quiet beaches. Nearby is the quaint town of Polis with shops and good restaurants & Latchi with its bustling harbour/Marina and some of the best restaurants in Cyprus. Things to do the Polis and Latchi area: This area of Cyprus is by far the most scenic and picturesque.

It has been voted as having the best coastline and is an area of outstanding natural beauty.

Argaka is ideal for nature lovers and is perfect for those wishing an active holiday or for a totally relaxing one.

Latchi harbour is a short drive away and things to do include boat trips to the blue lagoon on a mini-cruise. There is a marina and tavernas with really good locally caught sea food

You can also visit the baths of Aphrodite where legend has it that if you bathe in these waters you will enjoy everlasting youth!

In nearby Polis you will find two large well-stocked supermarkets, banks, petrol stations, chemists.

A day trip by car to the Troodos Mountains provides a beautiful day out and an unforgettable experience.

There are many local tavernas and bars. Also bakers and small kiosks for everyday needs.

Further attractions: Further attractions include a drive to Lara bay-a protected beach and one of the few areas in the Mediterranean where loggerhead and green turtles lay their eggs.

Driving in Cyprus is on the left with very familiar looking road signs and traffic lights.

A recent article by Aeras magazine gave this region top spot and described it as follows:

'Akamas wild beauty is magnificent. You can rent a boat and dive in the crystal-clear waters of the Blue Lagoon,

or try a road trip in the picturesque villages of the surrounding area.Stop for traditional food and an incredible view

at the last castle in Viklari'

Lovely house for a relaxing break

  • 5 of 5

Very nice house, very clean with everything you could possibly need for your stay. The property has a lovely garden and lots of great outdoor seating areas to admire the views from. The little estate it is in is nicely kept and the residents were very friendly and gives us tips on places to go. The pools were clean and well kept with lots of space for lounging if that is your thing.

The area was quiet (we were there slightly out of season) with good local pubs within a short drive and easy access to the hills and the beach giving you lots of options. Also it is easily accessible from Paphos so convenient for the airport and the world heritage sites.

If you want a nice house in a nice area with access to beach, hills and culture you will struggle to do better.

We have just returned from what can only be described as the perfect holiday for two! This is our third trip to Cyprus. Previously we have stayed in Protaras and in Paphos at large family sized villas with private pools but his year there were just the two of us so my husband and I decided that a quiet location was exactly what we needed.

The house is immaculate and everything shown on the photographs is even better in real like. As other reviewers have said the peace and quiet and the silence in the evenings is absolutely wonderful and truly relaxing. The garden area is so beautifully landscaped and provides a wonderful outlook and a lovely space at all times of the day but especially for breakfast and evening time.

We loved the location away from the resorts we had visited previously. Polis is a very small town but has everything you need. Our favourite daytime haunt was Polis campsite beach which is never busy (even in mid August) but bust enough to have some atmosphere. The sea is delightful for swimming there is sand and a lovely breeze and the beach attendant is so pleasant.

We feel that a car is a necessity in order to fully enjoy the area and travelled up the coast to Pomos and down to the Akamas peninsular. A real highlight was driving up to the lovely villages in the hills and we chose to travel up to Kathikas most evenings for dinner finding it cooler and very laid back. There are at least five excellent eating places in this little village. The Koulla II boat trip from Latchi harbour is also a must. Excellent value as it included a meal.

We will definitely be back. It's faultless!!!!

Very relaxing week

  • 4 of 5

We had a very relaxing holiday in Clive's house in Argaka. The house is in a modern village of similar terraced properties, but we had no privacy issues during our holiday and the complex was quiet and set in a lovely peaceful location. In the evening, the silence in the area is beautiful. We loved relaxing in the rear garden in particular, which is well laid out with a great outlook onto the countryside and hills. Internally the accommodation is very comfortable and spacious, and the new bathroom well finished!

The whole area was lovely and quiet when we visited, beautiful countryside, hassle free driving on the left of course, lovely meals out in restaurants around Latchi harbour (which were so cheap we never self catered!). Good supermarket in Polis, and great baker at the bottom of the road. Everyone is so friendly.

Fantastic Holiday!!! *****

Fantastic Holiday *****

My Husband and I have just returned from a winter break at this lovely property. This is our third visit to Clive and Sue's house. We love it there and have stayed at various times of the year including Spring, Summer and now Winter.

It never fails to meet our high standards as regards to comfort, spotlessly clean, lovely views and great places to eat out. Also great value for the size of house with various places to sit or lounge to take in the great views.

Clive is always helpful and willing to answer any questions we have.

The location is so peaceful and relaxing which is therapy to us as we both have hectic work schedules.

Its a pleasure to drive along the coast road exploring the beaches and good places to eat. A pre booked hire car from the airport is recommended.

There are beautifull places around the Akamas and we would suggest a trip into the Tooodos mountains and a visit to the monastery ay Kykkos. A walk along the Aphrodite trail is a must!

Our favourite places to eat are Mousstakalis, Finikas and "The Old Town" restaurants in the historic small market town of Polis. Molos at Latchi Marina is a lovely waterside taverna to

waste away the time with a nice glass of wine. All a short drive from the house.

Cycling in the area is lovely, we hired bikes for a couple of days from Polis and explored the coastline.

Another relaxing holiday- Thank you we will return next year.

Kate - Whitby.

Lovely week away

  • 4 of 5

Had a pleasant stay at Clive's property. My wife and I really enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and the good location for day trips. There was an issue with the volume on the television, which Clive quickly responded with a suggested fix. The bathrooms are a little tired and would benefit from a refresh. Overall great property.

Fantastic - Highly Recommended

  • 5 of 5

This is a quick note to say just how fantastic our holiday was with many Thanks to Clive for helping to make this happen. We absolutely loved the property which was exactly like the pictures and felt very spacious and welcoming. We truly felt welcomed into a beautiful home from home. The property was well maintained, clean and also had great facilities (kitchen utensils/TV/Sun loungers etc).

The villa complex was lovely and access to the pools was fantastic and in the main, private. The location of the villa was isolated and remote with no interruptions giving the feeling of total relaxation and getting away from it all. On the other hand a five minute drive gets you to the local pub which has great entertainment, fab food and free wifi - for the moments you want to tune back into reality and a small shop selling all the necessities. 15 minutes away is the beautiful town of Polis/Latchi where you can get literally anything.

I'd recommend getting a powerful car as some of the roads in the area are more suited to off-roading, however to get to the property our 1litre hire car could manage the roads.

Clive has been great communicating with us throughout the process and has been easy and a pleasure to deal with, making the experience smooth and clear throughout - Thank You.

I would recommend anyone to stay here to have a relaxing and peaceful time away soaking up local culture in Cyprus.

Argaka is an inland village set in an elevated position overlooking Chrysochous Bay and the Akamas mountains.

It is approximately 6 km from the quaint historic town of Polis which is approximately 35 km from Paphos.

This area of western Cyprus enjoys a staggering 340 days of sunshine a year. Cyprus is regarded as a 'year round Island' so the temperatures are very pleasant even in winter rarely dropping below 18 degrees.

The Polis and Latchi area also benefits from cooling coastal breezes so in summer months the temperature

is not as hot as places like the capital Nicosia which is positioned inland. There are many things to do locally such as lovely walks through pine forests to see irrigation dams/long walks along uncrowned beaches only minutes away. The fishing harbour of Pomos with its renowned sea food taverna is also a short drive away. As is Latchi

with its picturesque marina and harbour front restaurants. This area is also renowned for its local wine.

Quiet beaches nearby

Golf: Cyprus currently has numerous golf courses.

A new course(Elea) has just opened in Paphos designed by Nick Faldo.

The nearest course is at Tsada (MInthisshills) approx half-hour drive. Also its sister course -Secret Valley

is only approximately 15 minutes from Paphos

A Jack Nicholas designed course is to be built soon approx 2 km away from the House in Argaka at the new Limni.
