House in Arenal D'en Castell, Menorca - 5 Mins Walk To The Beach And Close To All Amenities

This delightful 3 bedroom house sleeps 6. It has air conditioning and free wifi. There is a shared pool and it is a 5 minutes walk to Arenal's superb sandy beach plus its supermarkets, restaurants, bars and doctors surgery. The kitchen has a ceramic hob and electric oven, microwave, fridge/freezer and washing machine. Upstairs there is one double bedroom and one twin bedroom (both with air conditioning) a family bathroom with shower and bath. Both bedrooms have balconies overlooking the pool. Downstairs there is a twin bedroom, separate shower room and toilet and a large living room/dining room with air conditioning, Smart TV and DVD/ CD player. Double patio doors at the front open to a covered terrace with built-in BBQ which leads onto a small lawned garden. There is also a small patio at the back shaded by trees. For families with young children we can provide a high chair and travel cot (bedding not provided).

Notes on accommodation: For families with young children there is a toddler pool next to the main pool. We can provide a high chair, changing mat and travel cot (without sheets). There is a weekly linen and towel change for guests staying longer than a week. The kitchen is fully equipped and there is a washing machine provided. The upstairs bedrooms have air conditioning as does the lounge. There is free WIFI internet access at the house. Also in the lounge there is a DVD/CD player plus smart TV. The front and back patios have full patio furniture and sunbeds are provided. For peace of mind a local emergency number is provided through our management company. Outside: There is a large covered front patio with built in BBQ and table & chairs which leads onto a small lawned garden. Sunbeds are also provided. The shared pool is separated from the property by a small hedge for the added safety of smaller children. The back patio leads off from the kitchen and looks onto open ground. Table and chairs are provided and there is a clothes drier. This patio is shaded by trees. Utility Room: Travel Cot (bedding not provided, highchair and pull out stairgate at top of stairs. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bed linen and bath towels are provided (sorry no beach towels). There is a linen and towel change for guests staying longer than 1 week. We do not provide bedding for the travel cot. Other: Upstairs there is 1 double and 1 twin bedroom (both with air conditioning) and family bathroom. Downstairs there is a twin bedroom and separate shower room and toilet.

An ideal holiday base quietly situated in Arenal

Andy and Louise's holiday home was ideal for us. It was well looked after, very clean and tidy with well kept grounds/gardens.

There are two terraces/balconies either side of the property so it's possible to enjoy the sun or shade throughout the day.

Everything was provided from the basics through to fridge-freezer, microwave and washing machine. The satellite TV was useful for the few wet days we had

and the free Wi-Fi helped us stay in touch with family and friends.

Some of our family joined us during our stay and were able to use the "downstairs accommodation" (twin bedroom and shower room) so had their own area of the house.

Although in a terraced row, we were not disturbed by any noise. There was a mix of Spanish residents and UK holiday makers in the complex of less than 30 properties. The vast majority were unoccupied in early summer so we had almost exclusive use of the swimming pool/pool area during our holiday!

The air conditioning, which came in useful during the hotter days, was provided in the main bedrooms and lounge.

The house is well situated for the shops and restaurants and the bus stop is a few minutes walk away. The beach is accessed via a number of steps although it is possible to drive down to it. Arenal is a lovely base for a family holiday and the bay/beach is superb and less crowded than some of the south coast beaches.

We hired a car as we like to visit other parts of the island. The house has its own parking space.

Andy and Louise dealt with everything promptly and we recommend the property. We will be back in 2016!!

Great holiday

The villa was clean and well equipped. The air con and wifi were particularly useful.

The communal pool was well maintained and a big hit with the children!

The villa has a great location and a car is not necessary as it is within easy reach of shops, restaurants and the beach. Overall we had a great holiday and the villa was fantastic.

The property is located a 5 minute walk from Arenal's superb sandy beach and also from the nearest restaurants and supermarkets.The beach is a magnificent sandy horse-shoe shaped bay facing west for wonderful sunsets. You can hire pedaloes or canoes on the beach and there are a couple of beachside restaurants. Lifeguards are in also in attendance in high season. Via the road there is a ramp onto the beach for pushchairs/wheelchairs.


Arenal D'en Castell is around 20 - 25 minutes drive from the airport at Mahon. Taxis can be pre-booked or picked up at the airport if required. Hiring a car is not essential as taxis can be used and there is a reguar bus service on the island going to Mahon and all main towns. The bus stop and taxi rank is a 5 minutes walk from the villa.


Menorca is a small island and it takes approx 45 minutes to drive from Arenal (on the north coast) to the old capital Ciutadella (on the west coast). The capital Mahon (on the east coast) is about a 25 minute drive. To drive to the resorts on the south coast eg Son Bou takes about 30 minutes. Menorca has one main road that runs from Mahon to Ciutadella with roads running off from this to each resort. Menorca has more beaches than Ibiza and Majorca put together so there are plenty to visit!

Further Details:

Arenal D'en Castel is small quiet family resort. It is mainly low-rise buildings with a couple of hotels. There are a range of restaurants and bars to suit everyone but no late nightclubs. There are 2 ATM machines, car hire offices, doctors surgery and pharmacy and a regular bus service. There are a variety of tourist shops. On the road into Arenal and 5 minutes drive is the Marina Park Hotel in the Coves Noves Complex. They have a small water park with slides, rides and a wave pool. Non residents can use the water park at a cost of €20.00 per day for adults and €15.00 for children under 12 (2013)

Payment can be made via the secure online booking procedure using a credit or debit card.
The deposit is 25% to be paid on booking and to secure the dates required and the balance to be paid 8 weeks before the holiday start date.
A payment of £150.00 is required to be held against damage and major breakages and this will be returned 7 days after your holiday if no damage has occurred.

Changeover Day:
Changeover days are flexible. Guests should arrive after 3.00pm on the day of arrrival and vacate by 10.00 am on the day of departure. At the discretion of the owner it may be possible to arrange an earlier arrival or later departure time.
