About Paul & Margaret Fisher

We are in our late 60s and were extremely lucky that we could take early retirement in 2000/2001 as this gives us the opportunity to enjoy our grand-children and to spend time at Casa Inshallah each winter. Summers are spent at home in the UK and filled with walking, gardening, DIY, keelboat racing, seeing our family and helping them with their children and their homes.

Why Paul & Margaret Fisher chose Lagos region

In November 1996 we took our first holiday in the Algarve. We loved it, especially when we chanced upon Luz during a day out on the one damp & cloudy day of our holiday. In those days you could drive down what is now a pedestrian promenade and we were greeted with spectacular views of Black Rock, the adjacent cliffs and wonderful beach. We continued to holiday in or visit Luz and Lagos. In April 2000 we began our search for a holiday home. In October we walked into Casa Inshallah and were greeted by the stunning views from the lounge and terrace. It had to be ours. Since "moving in" in March 2001, we have progressively enhanced the villa during our winter month stays and are now having our 16th very successful letting season. We invite you to share our villa.

What makes this villa unique

Casa Inshallah is located high up in Luz with wonderful views, yet is only a short walk down into Luz or a few minutes drive into Lagos for more shops and larger supermarkets plus the marina and spectacular Meia Praia beach which is some 3 miles long. We are also only some 20 minutes drive from Sagres and the western coast beaches which run for miles and are great for long walks. The A22 motorway is just 5 minutes away. The urbanization in which Casa Inshallah is located is a mix of designs with permanent residences and holiday homes. It was started some 30 years ago & only 2 plots remain on the entire estate neither of which is close to our villa. This is quite unlike several estates in Luz where although started more than 15 years ago, many plots remain undeveloped, leaving them as long-term building sites.

There is a 25% deposit at time of booking with balance payable 8 weeks prior to departure. £200 breakage/loss/key deposit.
We can provide information on car rental, airport transfers, flights, UK airport car parking.

Changeover Day:
Saturday in high season, but we are flexible in low and mid seasons (April/May/June, September/October) to meet your needs and subject to availability.

Notes on prices:
Free cots with bedding, plus highchairs & buggy included, no extra charges for these.
Pool heating available, if required, at additional cost.

Lovely holiday home

This villa really is as good as it looks in the pictures! The location is excellent, within walking distance of the village and with superb views across the bay. All the rooms are very spacious and it is very well equipped. We had such a lovely holiday and would certainly recommend it to anyone.

Stunning Villa

The only thing I can say about Casa Inshallah is that it is a stunning villa and has everything required to make a perfect holiday. Its location is great just a few minutes walk into Luz and the villa itself has everything you could want, including safe and wifi.

The villa is kept spotless by both the owners and management staff who look after it. And if you have any problems at all the management staff are there within minutes of calling them.

The owners take great pride in their villa and rightly so it is a gem and one you will want to return to again and again as we do.

Nearest Airport : Faro at 90 Kilometres Nearest Golf : Boavista & Espiche at 4 Kilometres Nearest Train : Lagos at 6 Kilometres Nearest Motorway : A22 at 3 Kilometres Nearest Restaurant : Hotel Belavista at 600 Metres Nearest Beach : Praia da Luz at 1 Kilometres Car: not necessary

Coast/Beach:

Luz beach (10-12 minutes walk), Burgau (5 minutes drive), Meia Praia, Lagos & Salema (15 minutes drive), secluded and unspoilt West Algarve beaches (from 20 minutes drive). For more info on beaches, maps see website.

Travel:

Faro Airport (approx 50 miles) is comfortable 1 hour drive using the A22 motorway. Car hire, taxi/mini-bus transfers are available from Faro Airport. Fly from your local airport by low-cost airlines, or by scheduled airlines (TAP, BA or Monarch).

There are regular local bus services into Lagos and surrounding area.

Train service from Lagos to Faro & Spanish border, with connections to Lisbon & Oporto.

Distances:

Lagos 4 miles

West Coast Algarve beaches from 15 miles

Monchique Hills 20 miles

Sagres/Cape St Vincent ("End of the World") 20 miles.

Autodromo 12 miles

Lots of restaurants and bars in Luz & nearby Lagos.

Luz has several banks each with ATM, Post Office, shops and supermarkets. More, larger supermarkets are available in Lagos. Excellent doctors surgery with 24 hour emergency cover. Several Waterparks within 35-40 minute drive including Zoomarine, Waterworld, Splash and Slide, etc. Many leisure facilities available in the area including sailing, windsurfing, horse riding, squash, tennis, golf, boat trips, dolphin watching, organised walks etc. Local bowls club.

Our villa is managed by local well established Management Agents who are on hand to give advice or resolve any issues.
