This beautiful traditional property is situated in the peaceful and established residential area of Luz Parque, which is within easy walking distance to the shops, bars/restaurants and the glorious Luz beach. Set within secluded large mature gardens, well stocked with shrubs, herbs and flowers, including its own lemon trees, optional heated pool & aircon, various seating areas, grass play area and total privacy. It has WiFi throughout and a bright and spacious lounge with dining area & patio doors onto an additional covered eating terrace, which looks out over Luz and the sea. A log fire as well as IP TV, Apple TV, DVD, VHS, Radio, CD player, Ipod dock audio system and Xbox / Play Station games consules. There are a selection of games, videos, books, DVDs, play station and Xbox games with an additional TV screen. A well equipped kitchen (Dolce Gusto coffee machine, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge freezer & toasting machine, liquidiser) is on this level as well as bedroom 4. A few steps takes you down to the 2 big twin bedrooms (one with doors to pool area). The huge master room with en-suite doors to pool area and a TV. All rooms have optional aircon and heating. The bedrooms also have hairdryers and two small electric fans for personal use. There is a charcoal BBQ, external whirly jig in the drying area and ample off and on street parking. The property has been decorated to create a comfortable homely atmosphere. The championship golf course at Parque do Floresta is nearby as is Boa Vista. The villa is child friendly with Cot, high chair, stair gate and playpen available. There is a toy box at the pool with pool toys. The roof terrace with sun loungers gives privacy and views. There is a first aid kit and smoke and carbon detectors with a selection of spare bulbs and batteries.

January to March and November to December prices include villa heating with a log fire in the lounge and heat pump aircon units in the other rooms at extra cost.

Really lovely Villa with beautiful sea views.

Thank you to you both, for the use of your villa for 2 weeks, it was absolutely perfect all round. The villa has everything you need for a self-catering holiday, and really clean through out. We loved the patio area, for breakfast in the morning and to watch the sun go down in the evening. Its a lovely walk from the villa into Luz, a bit longer coming back ! but well worth it. There is a lovely beach, and enjoyed the beach front restaurant. Would love to come again, if you will have us.

Excellent family villa with everything you need

The owners of this villa have taken a lot of trouble to ensure it has everything you need. It is a family home, not just a rental property. Spacious with terrazas, a barbecue if you want it and a great swimming pool. All the rooms have mosquito screens so you can sleep with the windows open. It's a bit of a walk ( 15 mins or so ) to the beach but easy to park generally. Luz is a pleasant family 'village' with several good places to eat - and nearby Lagos is a great night out. This is a really nice house in a great location - you couldn't ask for more for a family holiday. The 'visitors book' at the house is packed with comments from happy families who plan to return!

Suitable for family and adults alike with space for privacy or family activities. Close to restaurants and the night life available in Luz whilst giving easy access to the beach and facilities for children. The bus route is very close and allows exploring without the need for a car. The local supermarkets do free delivery so a car is not essential.

A short walk to the beach at Luz, where there are various water sports available (Chico we find is best) during the summer months. It is a 15 minutes drive to the vast Meia Praia beach at Lagos which is best for wind surfing or alternatively the small and intimate beaches in the fishing villlage of Burgau, Salema etc.


The nearest airport is Faro, 80km or 50 mins along the motorway. An excellent pre-bookable airport shuttle bus is available (details of recommended companies available on request). Car hire is not essential but can prove to be very useful for those guests who like to explore the surrounding areas, although there is also a very good local bus service.


Luz Parque is close enough to all local amenities but far enough away from traffic and beach noise to enjoy total seclusion and tranquillity (apart from the birds in the morning and the very occasional dog barking).

Further Details:

There is a Spa, gymnasium and tennis courts close by and 'Tiffanys' English speaking horseriding school is a 5 minute drive away. If you fancy a break from the beach there is also Lagos Zoo Park, 15 minutes drive from the villa, where it has its own monkey island. Slide 'n' splash water park and the Zoomarine, which has dolphin, seal and sea lion shows are a 30 minute bus or car journey from the villa about 10km from Albufiera. The new Algarve Autodrome Motor Sport complex is about 25 minutes away and hosts various major car, motor bike events and is an F1 testing venue. There is a Kart track at the Autodrome.

Booking Notes:
A 25% non-refundable deposit or minimum of £200 is required in order to confirm your reservation, the outstanding balance is due 8 weeks prior to arrival. A security deposit of £200 is required together with the final balance. The security deposit will be refunded to you by cheque, within 14 days of your return, once our local representative has checked the property. Cancellation between 8 weeks and the arrival date will require a payment of 75% rental. Aircon & pool are at an extra weekly cost.

Changeover Day:
Our preferred changeover day is Saturday especially during high season however where possible we will try to be flexible to meet your needs. There may be an extra charge for a Sunday change over.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund for cancellations more than 30 days before check-in date.
  • 100% refund for cancellations more than 60 days before check-in date.

  • Notes on accommodation: The Villa has optional aircon (or winter heating) via heat pump in all bedrooms and the open plan living, dining and kitchen area. UK IP TV & Apple TV is provided with a subscription to some sports and similar channels. There is a modern log burner in lounge with a supply of logs etc. Young children should be supervised around the pool area. There is a grass area for children to play and several peaceful locations with chairs, tables, to sit and read or sunbathe. There is a secluded roof terrace with spectacular views to the sea and Luz. Outside: There is a secluded private oval pool (5mts x 8mts) with optional heating. The pool access is via 4 large semi circular steps making it ideal for non swimmers and children. There is a box with some toys. There are plenty of sun loungers and a roof terrace with views and more sun loungers. The BBQ area has a table and chairs. The sun terrace is covered and again is complete with table and chairs and access to the kitchen area. There are 4 awnings in the pool / garden area to provide shade and umbrellas are available. The garden has several additional sitting areas, one with table, chairs and umbrella. There are drying areas in the garden. The property is secured with a high wall and lockable gates and is very quiet and secluded. There is a lemon tree which has fruit for most of the year an ornamental orange tree and a bird of paradise that flowers in the autumn. There is a drive for parking. WiFi works in most areas. The house has an alarm and a safe in each bedroom. The master bedroom safe takes a laptop. Utility Room: The utility cupboard is equipped with a torch, steam iron, ironing board, hoover, cleaning equipment, spare lamps, flower vases etc. A cot, play pen, high chair, and stair gate are available at a small charge. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Maid service is weekly, not public holidays or Sundays. Mattresses are vacuumed regularly. Towels (not beach towels) are provided. Hair dryer, fans, lamps etc are in the utility cupboard clothes dryers are outside. Other: Sun/dining terrace facing the pool (great views) with dining table & 8 chairs.
