We are delighted to offer this apartment for holiday rental on a small, secure prestigious development in the picturesque fishing village of Burgau. It lies 12km from Lagos, an historic & bustling market town and an hours drive from Faro Airport. Still steeped in ancient traditions the village has quaint white-washed villas set in narrow cobbled streets overlooking a sheltered sandy bay. Burgau hosts a good choice of restaurants offering fresh fish, pasta, pizzas and English fare, there are a couple of late night bars but no nightclubs. Within a short drive, more energetic activites are available such as water sports, sailing,horse riding, clubbing and even shopping. Burgau is surrounded by some of the best golf courses in the Algarve, The Penina course is just 20 mins away. There is something for everyone! A glorious beach for the children and sun worshippers; a network of mapped walks for the rambler; stunning scenery for the artist; and culinary delights for the gourmet.

Activity and Interests
Burgau beach is a 5 minute walk, Luz beach is a 10 min drive or one hour walk along the coastal path. Sagres beach is also a 10 min drive. The unspoilt west coast is around a 20 minute drive, the sunsets are amazing.
With the extension of the motorway to Lagos, access to Spain and all parts of the Algarve has been made much easier. Car Hire is recommended and its best to pre book. When you arrive at Faro Airport all the Car Hire companies are on the main concourse.Faro airport is approximately 50 minutes from the Villa and Lisbon is approx 2.5 hours. You can drive to Seville in 2 hours. We will send you directions once you have booked.
Burgau beach is a five minute walk. Salema approx 2km. If you follow the coastal road along past Salema you will find some wonderful empty coves some with a quaint bar/restaurant.
Surfing, Sailing, Kayaking, Windsurfing, Kite Surfing, Wakeboarding, Soccer, Tennis, Walking, Cycling, you can have it all in right here. The best surfing is on the Aljezur coast line which is literally 20 minutes by car with the most dramatic surf in the Algarve in Carrapa
Burgau has one cash machine which is a 2 minute walk. There are various Banks in Lux including a Barclays.
The local area is National Park land and has some amazing little coves for that private beach experience.
Things To Do: Cape St Vincent with it's dramatic headland is the most South Western point of Europe and is just a 25 min drive from the villa. Sagres is it's neighbour with good beaches.
Zoomarine is situated near to Albufeira. It is an amazing day out where you can swim with dolphins and enjoy the spectacle.
Slide and Splach is near Lagoa and is a great water park for all ages.
A drive out to the Monchique mountains is a great place to sample Chicken Piri Piri at its very best.
Lagos of course, has much on offer from dolphin safari's to wake boarding for the adventurous. Why not charter a boat and have lunch anchored up in one of the many coves along this dramatic coastline.
Lagos town is impressive, steeped in history with its cobbled streets and traditional charm or the marina where old meets new displaying typical Moorish architecture.
One of the beaches in Largos spans approx 5 km with golden sand, watersports and beach cafe's.

- Notes on accommodation: As well as street parking there is underground parking operated by electric gates with a remote control, from the underground garage there are steps that lead up to the pool and courtyard area from where the apartments can be accessed. Outside: The balcony is very spacious and is furnished with patio furniture, four sun beds and a large barbecue, the property benefits from a shared heated swimming pool in view of the balcony with beautiful views of the countryside. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: A linen and towel change will be made at the end of each week. Beach towels are not provided.
