About Carol & Clive Matthewson

Our family consists of myself, husband and daughter aged 16. We live in the North East of England and unfortunately the climate here is not very good. Therefore when going on holiday we tend to search for the warmth of the sun. Over the years we have visited many countries and always found ourselves asking the same question would we like to live here? or would we be happy visiting on a regular basis? When we started visiting Fuerteventura each time the answer was yes. We had been seriously looking to purchase a property abroad for about three years before deciding that the beautiful island of Fuerteventura was definitely the place for us. Apart from the weather being lovely all year other important factors were that we felt very safe and happy and the islanders are very friendly people.

Hi Carol & Clive We really enjoyed our holiday in your villa loved the location quiet and peaceful and yet close to all amenities. The pool being just next to your villa was ideal for our young children they loved it, our eldest was at the beach most of the time wind surfing. Notes on accommodation: Ceiling fans in all bedrooms and lounge which are very effective. Safe and secure property with private gardens and locked entrance gates suitable for all children. The private communal pools are only a few steps away which can be viewed from the front balcony of the master bedroom. Highchair & cots are available for a small supplement. Outside: The villa enjoys a very sunny aspect including 2 large private patios and terraced areas both front and rear and lovely large established gardens. There is also a BBQ on the rear patio. The outside dining furniture is of high quality seating six.The private communal pools are surrounded by landscaped gardens and provides showers, wc and changing facilities with sunbeds. The pool area is for sole use for the villas within a close proximity and codes are required to gain entrance. Utility Room: Open air utility/drying area and storage. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bed linen & bathroom towels are included. On arrival you will find the property in immaculate order. If staying longer than one week a midweek clean and linen change can be arranged if required for a small supplement. Guests supply own beach towels. Other: Outside patio table and chairs to seat 6 persons. With sunbeds available on the terraces in garden area. Upstairs front & rear balconies enjoying views of the sea and mountains. The master bedroom and bedroom 2 also have excellent quality patio furniture.

Lovely Villa, Well worth a stay

We had a really enjoyable and relaxing holiday. Was welcomed in the villa as we arrived and shown around.

Fabulous amenities exactly as described. Villa was immaculately decorated. Very comfortable beds and seating.

Fairly close to most things, a little far to walk into town but only a 5 min ride in the car.

Would definitely book with Carol & Clive again. Thank you.

Excellent villa

1st class com's with the owners and Sue was a great help , the villa was in excellent condition with everything you need for a relaxing holiday .Will definitely recommend it to friends and family and hope to return again .

Location

Coast/Beach:

There are a number of beautiful beaches and a marina nearby where a wide range of water sports activities are available. The nearest sandy beach within easy walking distance consists of safe and sheltered bays ideal for young children, with camel rides and pedaloes available for hire. Free courtesy transport is also available from the 5 star Elba Hotel. Caleta is located in the centre of the island which provides easy access to the North and South of the island.

Travel:

Fuerteventura airport is only 10 mins drive away. Car hire is not essential as taxis are easily available and are not expensive.

Distances:

Caleta is located in the centre of the island which provides easy access to explore Corralejo to the North, here you will find stunning views with miles of sand dunes and daily excursions to Lanzorote. To the South of the island also boasts beautiful beaches and places of interest.

Further Details:

The nearest shopping centre is the Atlantico which is within easy reach and provides shops, bars and restaurants, there is also a multi screen cinema and ten pin bowling. McDonalds and Burger King are also nearby. A Free courtesy bus is available from the 5 star Elba Hotel.
