Apartment in Lagos, Algarve - Great Location Close To Town And Beach

Casa Annalise is a new 2 bedroom apartment in an excellent position very close to both the town centre of Lagos and to Meia Praia beach, and within easy walking distance of the Marina, Pingo Doce supermarket and all local amenities. The apartment has a large veranda, with plenty of room for dining and sunbathing, while inside has air conditioning throughout (heating in the winter) and is spacious and well equipped. The nearest beach is the famous Meia Praia, 4 miles of spotless white sand, just a 15 minute walk away, and there are numerous other beautiful beaches within a few minutes drive. Lagos town centre has plenty of top quality restaurants, bars and shops, and is only a 10 minute walk. Golfers have the choice of 6 golf courses within 20 minutes drive, including Penina, which hosted the Portuguese Open in 2006, and Palmares with its mix of links and parkland golf.

About Les Wightman

Hi, we are the owners of Casa Annalise: Paul & Zoe French, and Les & Mary Wightman (Zoe's parents). Paul is a company director, Zoe is a graphic designer and mum of two, Les has recently retired from a busy international construction career and Mary is supermum/granny/cook. We have lived and worked all over the world, but we are now based in England and love the Algarve as its so easy to get to, is perfect for families, has such friendly people, great weather and some of the world's best beaches!

Why Les Wightman chose Lagos

We bought Casa Annalise in 2006 and have had many happy holidays here. This apartment greatly appealed to us as a very modern and elegant 'town' apartment. We like the big kitchen and two bathrooms, the large veranda, the landscaped surroundings and the proximity to the marina and town centre.

Paul and Zoe now have two small children and this apartment has proved perfect for family holidays too.

We love Lagos because it has a beautiful town and harbour, many amazing beaches - even one in town, and over 400 (apparently!) restaurants to choose from. Its easy to get to from Faro airport, just under an hour. There are so many things to do, whether you are with children or not, or you can just totally relax.

The people are very friendly, and the town is beautiful, historic, and very well-ke

What makes this apartment unique

Casa Annalise at Varandas da Sao Joao is close to the beach at Meia Praia, the Marina and Lagos town centre where there is another beach and many restaurants and shops. The supermarket Pingo Doce is within walking distance. There is a new municipal swimming pool complex across the road from Varandas da Sao Joao, with fantastic facilities for swimming, working out and relaxing.

We stayed at this beautiful apartment for the month of Sept 2016,

It was very clean and had everything one required for the perfect holiday.

Fantastic balcony and handy to all amenities. Very close to supermarkets and beaches etc.

Was exactly as stated by the owners who we found to be excellent and very helpful.

We would have no hesitation in recommending the property to anyone.

Excellent apartment but pubs and restaurant further away than expected.

Excellent apartment, clean spacious and well equipped. A long walk to the nearest beach, bars and restaurants.

Owner's Response: Nearest beach is Praia de Camilo, 5 minutes at most. The bars at the Tulip Roundabout cannot be much more. We'll have to see about moving them closer next time! Mary & Les

A place to visit

The owner and the agent we're very helpful. Onto the apartment well this was very nice large well maintained and a very nice position overlooking Lagos on one side it's the old town and the other side is a very modern part the best bit is in the middle a marina very nice in the winter so it must be even better in the summer.

If anybody asked me about Lagos I would recommend they stay at this apartment.

Well equipped apartment in Lagos

Well equipped apartment and very spacious. 20 minute walk into the town from the apartment.

Lots of good restaurants especially the Tapas restaurant which is 5 minute walk from the apartment.

Lots of nice beaches, the nearest one is about a 20 minute walk.

Supermarkets - Lidl and Pingo Dolce were about 15 minute walk.

Thank you Les for an enjoyable 10 night stay.

Lovely property has everything you need

This is a nice property in a well kept block of low rise apartments. This apartment. Is well maintained with everything you need. The owners are wonderful so easy to communicate with nothing is any trouble and they can be contacted immediately if there are any problems as can their property manager who is extremely helpful. We only had one little hiccup on arrival and it was dealt with superfast with apologies and a wee refund which i didnt request but was delighted to receive. The property is on ground level with easy access to the pool which is clean and a decent size in an area surrounded by beaches. This is the 2nd time we have been to this small complex at this time of year and both times had the place practically to ourselves. You can walk to most places if you are fit but a car really is best to get around when its hot. There are so many other places to see around Lagos and So many lovely restaurants in Lagos close by, in town and marina we really were spoiled for choice. We would definitely come back to this apatrment. It was a lovely holiday thank you Les and Mary.

Lovely apartment for exploring Lagos and surrounds

Lovely apartment, very clean, airy, well maintained and very comfortable. In a quiet, peaceful and safe location but yet just a few minutes to the centre. Les & Mary a pleasure to deal with and the whole process was straightforward and seamless. Restaurants in Lagos plentiful and food good, you wont go wrong with Les and Marys suggestions. The pool was great for times when you just want to chill out. Great beaches also, our favourite was Porto de Mos which is only a short drive/bus ride. Overall, a great apartment for visiting Lagos and exploring the area. Highly recommend

Notes on accommodation: Ample parking is available immediately adjacent to the apartment. Access to the apartment lobby is via a video entry phone located in the hallway. Locally based English agent to help when needed. Cot & highchair hire is available. Outside: In addition to a spacious balcony (ideal for entertaining), the apartment shares a large sun terrace with beautiful views and a small swimming pool. Sunbeds are provided. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Welcome pack and weekly maid service, all linen and towels are provided with the exception of beach towels. The vacuum cleaner system is built in, just plug the hose into the wall outlet in each room. Other: The AC systems will double as heating when needed during the winter months when temperatures require it. Please note it does not have instant response! It certainly won't be needed for most of the year! Finally, rubbish bins are at the bottom of the hill by the roundabout.
