Apartment in Puerto Santiago, Los Gigantes, Tenerife - Peaceful Location but Plenty to do and see.

Two bedrooms, two bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen, spacious living room and a large terrace overlooking the pool and cliffs. Our apartment is centrally located and is only a short stroll Los Gigantes or the shops and local life of Puerto Santiago. There is a great variety of bars and restaurants of fantastic quality and very reasonable prices. The area is peaceful, yet full of interest and entertainment, if required.

Fantastic, thank you very much! The apartment is lovely, just as described on the website and very comfortable and perfect for our needs. The directions were excellent and the apartment was spotless on arrival. Spent a fair bit of time around the pool, but also enjoyed our trip up Mt Teide, the whale and dolphin watching, and the parascending! We had a car and explored the island quite extensively, visiting many of the other resorts but feel that Los Gigantes was the best place to stay in.

Absolutely Fabulous

We have stayed at this apartment a number of times and always love coming back. As far as a holiday is concerned you want somewhere you can feel at home in and this fab spacious apartment does exactly that. Instantly you are relaxed with all you need to entertain yourselves at home or just pop out to the local bars and restaurants. Easy access to the local supermarkets means you can utilise all the kitchen facilities and cook at home and eat on the balcony with fantastic views of the Gigantes cliffs. It truly is a relaxing place to stay but if you want to party until the early hours then this is available just a few minutes walk away. We will be booking again very soon!

Great location

I don't usually bother we reviews but felt this was worth it.If you are looking for a clean,tidy modern apartment in a great quiet location then you can't go wrong here.There are restaurants/Bars only two minutes away and if you are looking for more night-life etc. the busier town of Los Gigantes is only 10 minutes or cheap taxi!

We are a family of 4 and this was perfect for us.Talking to others around the pool they have come back over several years.Every morning the pool area is cleaned/attended to and by 10 am is in full sun to start relaxing.It is conveniently located also with supermarkets and shops all within a 5 minute walk.

Why would you holiday in the UK?

If we look to come back to Tenerife in the future would not hesitate to book this again

Fantastic value

The highlight of this ample sized apartment is the large fully furnished balcony. At once you feel private and relaxed even though you have a ring side view over the lovely communal pools and spectacular cliffs. We’ve rented many other places in the Canaries and Spain but this apartment is our favourite and we’ve returned several times during the last 5 years. Set in a well maintained complex with excellent facilities. Close to a wide range of shops & activities you can do as much or as little as you like and be sure to have a chilled out stress free holiday. The UK based owner Mark is very helpful and well supported by a local lady who lives nearby. You can rent with absolute confidence.

Activity and Interests

Car: not necessary

Coast/Beach:

Both Los Gigantes and Playa La Arena boast black sandy beaches, and both are approx 10/15 minutes walk. The beach at Playa La Arena has again been awarded the honored blue flag¨for cleanliness and lifeguards are in daily attendance. There is a gem of a white beach only a 10 minute drive away in Playa San Juan. Well worth a visit or two.

Travel:

The nearest airport is Tenerife Sur and is approximately 40 minutes drive away. There are ample car hire companies at the airport, (recommend you book in advance, cheaper and guarantees rental, we can advise). Best company to use for transfer is El Mar services.

Distances:

Los Gigantes (the village) is a short and very scenic walk away. Get a taxi back for 2 euro's. Playa de la Arena with a large black sand beach is in the opposite direction and is only a 15 min walk.

Further Details:

Plenty of shops close by for essentials and a variety of good quality gifts especially shoes and electrical goods. Bars vary from sharing tapas with the locals to sports & live entertainment. Banks are close by and plenty of ATM's.

The many sights to be seen around the island locally organized including Mount Teide, Masca, Loro Parque, Scuba Diving, Fishing, Whale and Dolphin watching to name a few.

  • Notes on accommodation: The complex entrance is secure and video intercom access is provided so that residents can see who is entering the the premises, thus maintaining complex security. Situated in the shade, (although the balcony gets a nice bit of sun in the morning in the summer) the apartment never gets too hot and provides a welcome break from the Canarian sun at siesta time. Outside: Two large swimming pools, children's pools and jacuzzi s are surrounded by planted borders, with shrubs and trees. Large sun terraces come complete with sunbeds and parasols. The facilities are for private use of residents/guests only. Free wireless internet is available within the apartment and complex. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and bed linen are provided and changed weekly. Further cleaning and linen changes can be arranged at extra cost. Other: The lounge and both bedrooms are fitted with patio doors which all open to the large covered terrace 24sqm, which is furnished with a table, 6 chairs, two seat sofa and two single armchairs.
