Villa in Cerro Macho, Montilla, Cordoba, Andalucia - Beautiful Location Within Rural Andalucia

Our villa has been carefully renovated to retain many of its original features, while still catering for the modern life. Situated near our own property, it has 3 bedrooms, lounge/diner, full kitchen and bathroom. Outside there is a pool with a large terrace area and a further 3 terraced areas with BBQ and patio furniture. Set in rural Andalucia, within the Subbetica National park our property offers a glorious rural location, ideal for country lovers, walkers and wildlife enthusiasts. Why not visit la Zamora (25 mins by car) where you can see a large Griffon vulture colony or maybe you fancy visiting the beautiful whitewashed village of Zuheros (half hour by car). Whilst set in the countryside, there is a small supermarket and Bar/Restaurant in the local village, which is only a 20 minute walk (3 min drive) away and 3 larger towns within 20km. Cordoba itself is a 35 min drive away, with Sevilla, Malaga and Granada all within 1 and a half hours drive.

Notes on accommodation: We supply Fans to all rooms for the summer and oil filled radiators for those cooler days. A welcome pack is supplied upon your arrival. All of the above is included in the price as is electricity and gas. Free unlimited WIFI Due to the repositioning of satellites, there are only a few UK tv channels available on the free sat but with the wifi you can view all tv on your Laptops/netbooks/tablets or phones!! Outside: Our villa has three private patio areas, one with a bamboo roof for shade, one with a large BBQ and another with patio table and chairs. Our 9 x 5m fully tiled pool has a large tiled terrace with large gazebo and sun loungers. Your privacy will be respected at all times. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All Linen and Towels provided, including pool towels. Linen is changed on a weekly basis or as required. An iron and ironing board is also supplied. All above at no extra cost.

Quiet rural setting to relax by the pool or take walks over the olive groves and vines.

We enjoyed two weeks of total relaxation in the hills of Andalusia. The property has all you require for an enjoyable break. The pool is large and exclusive to the single property and offers amazing views of the countryside. As the location is so elevated - 600 metres the Vista is almost 360. Easy access to large towns for shopping and excellent connections to cities like Cordoba make this a complete experience. Our hosts Gavin and family were very helpful and at hand for tips and guidance on local points of interest.

Very peaceful retreat

The apartment is in good decorative order and can sleep six without resorting to a sofa. The setting, in an olive grove, is idyllic. The surrounding rolling countryside is all olive trees and vines, and the whole vast area is surrounded by distant mountains. It is really quiet. However, November may not be the best time to go. We had seven days of rain, and it was VERY cold, particularly at night. Gavin and Jermena, who live next door, were really kind and helpful, and provided us with an electric heater when we asked for it. If the weather had been better we would have done more travelling. Córdoba is very do-able and worth it. Seville is probably possible in a day, with an early start, likewise Granada. There is a major supermarket 15 minutes drive away, which is worth a trip in itself! If the sun shone, you wouldn't want to leave the apartment.

Fantastic place

The house is excellent. There is everything you need. The location is perfect. Gavin and his wife are very friendly. The swiming pool and magnificent view are absolutely amazing. One of the best houses we have ever rented. I will remember this house for a long time. Jan

Peace and Tranquility

The cottage was lovely and well equipped for our holiday. It was a great base to explore the surrounding areas - Cabra and Cordoba are well worth a visit - but it was lovely to come back to the peace and quiet of the cottage to cool off in the pool and enjoy a barbeque whilst watching the sun set. Gavin and his family were very friendly and welcoming, as were the locals at the bar in the village. I would recommend this cottage to others.

Tranquil and relaxing family holiday

If you're looking for a relaxed and off the beaten track escape - this is the place for you!

Our family holiday revolved around the pool and terrace with complete privacy.

We've stayed in a number of villas in Spain and the pool here was the best we've seen, an ideal size, with steps and shallow enough for all of us to enjoy.

The house is clean, well equipped and compact.

The location is good, whilst in the countryside, there are plenty of local places to visit and it's close to Cordoba.

The owners are a very friendly English family and keen for you to have a good holiday. Whilst they live close by, they make every effort to give you the space and privacy you want, but are on hand to offer any assistance or advice you might need.

Overall this was an excellent property, one we would definitely go back to and would recommend to others.

Séjour merveilleux

Nous avons passé 4 jours à la Rambla, maison de vacances de Gavin et sa femme. Le paysage est impressionnant. La maison est confortable et calme. La piscine est un vrai bonheur après un journée de visite de la région. Gavin et sa femme sont d'une gentillesse et d'une discrétion qu'on a beaucoup apprécié.

there is a very friendly bar/restaurant in the local village as well as a small supermarket. We supply drinks for your consumption should you require them. Within a 20 mins drive there are 3 largish towns, montilla, cabra and lucena which all provide many shops and lovely restaurants.

there are numerous bodega's nearby where you can try out the local wines and between the months of november and march we can arrange for you to visit the local olive press to see how the olive oil is made.

Changeover Day:
We are flexible on changeover days and also arrival and departure times, although as a guide we generally ask for guests not to arrive before 4pm and to depart before 10.30am.

For stays of 3 nights or less during 1st October - 30th April the price will be 80 euros per night.
