Close to railway station and Bonanza Square. Car unnecessary. Transfer about £2 by train from inside the airport to Benalmadena-Arroyo de la Miel train station and about a 7 minutes' walk to your apartment OR there is a taxi rank immediately outside the Benalmadena-Arroyo de la Miel train station and for about 5 Euros you can be driven to your apartment.

About the Owner

My wife and I live in the UK, in Camberley, Surrey. For twenty years now we have owned and rented out a number of beachside apartments in Central Fuengirola overlooking the Marina, and as Smiths for Spain, together with our property managing partners in Spain, we have also introduced many thousands of happy clients to a large number of other similar privately owned studio, one, and two bedroomed apartments in Central Fuengirola.

In addition, since 2002, together with our own Manager Jeff we have also introduced many clients to a smaller number of privately owned studio, one, and two bedroomed apartments in Benalmadena, Arroyo de la Miel where Jeff lives.

Good base for exploring.

This studio was exactly what we expected.Clean compact but good vfm.Would have been nice to have a separate outdoor balcony but this did not spoil our stay.Excellent location for all amenities and train.Would go back.

Nice little home from home.

Overall this studio does what it says on the tin. Fab view. Lovely pool area with snacks which are very reasonably priced. Sunbeds at pool to hire for 3 euros per day. Close to bars restaurant, the beach is around a 15 min walk and is steep coming back up in 34 degree heat.

My only negative with this studio is no air conditioning, the cooling which is in the description is a ceiling fan only. This does not cut it in heat over 30 degrees especially at night time. I had to purchase 2 fans, which made it better. With this though Jeff, the property manager had popped by and then the next day phoned to say the owners do not like fans as it puts their electricity up . There was no way you cold survive without these . We left them for a neighbour. Maybe the owners should offer the mob air con unit and the customer pay for this and additional electric.

Great apartment

Lovely apartment. Great view. Swimming pool was great and the green area at the back was fantastic..most certainly recommend staying at the apartment lovely and clean, and plenty cutlery, mugs etc for personal use.Plenty of places to visit and lots of nice restaurants to eat at. It was that nice we have booked again with Carole for next year,

Coast/Beach:

The fine sandy Benalmadena beach is about 12 minutes walk away. Here you will find lots of attractions and watersports.

The Promenade is long, wide & flat with frequent part shaded resting places so that you can sit and admire the lovely sea & beach views.

There are many cafe/restaurants built literally on the beach and the Promenade.

The beautiful new Marina offers lots of many interesting boat trips, fashionable boutiques, restaurants and places of interest.

Travel:

Fly to Malaga airport - Benalmadena is just (10 miles) / 15 km from the airport.

A cheap transfer:-

Train (inside the airport): fare: about £2 per person / journey time: about 15 minutes (lovely scenic route) / frequency: every 20 minutes / your apartment is 5-7 minutes' walk from the train station or immediately outside the station a taxi will drive you to your apartment for about euros 5.

Taxi: about £25-28 each way/about 10 minutes.

Key pick up at the 24 hour reception.

Distances:

Paloma park (15 minutes walk) has a "flea market" (2nd hand items) on Wednesday and a normal market on Friday.

Tivoli car park (15 minutes walk) has a normal market on Friday.

Fuengirola: 8km - 10 minutes by car/15 minutes by local bus or train.

Mijas: 15km - 15 minutes by car/25 minutes by local bus.

Marbella & Puerto Banus: 28km - 30 minutes by car/55 minutes by local bus.

Malaga: (including airport) 15km - 10 minutes by car/20 minutes by local bus or train

Further Details:

Benalmadena-within easy walking distance Benalmadena has a "mini Disney World" with stage shows (Tivoli World). Opposite Tivoli World is the exciting cable car ride (Teleferica) which will take you to the top of the mountain!

Benalmadena has a very impressive new Marina development offering boat trips, restaurants, colourful shops and boutiques. If you fancy diving beneath the sea without getting wet there is the Sea Life Centre and if you would also like to see a dolphin show then the Selwo Marina is a must.

Fuengirola-easily accessible by local bus or train: there are many local attractions, such as a giant water park and a renowned zoo. In the Marina there is a "World of Watersports" available including parasailing, scuba diving, jet skiing and much more. Also nearby is the Miramar shopping centre which is a large modern covered shopping complex with cinemas (many films in English) and cafes.

Mijas-easily accessible by local bus: Mijas is a pretty 9th century Andalucian village with craft shops, cafes and the well known donkey taxis. Mijas nestles on the mountainside with landscaped viewing platforms and seating for you to look over the spectacular coastline below.

MALAGA-easily accessible by local bus or train: the city of Malaga boasts the world famous Picasso Museum. Other places of interest are the comprehensive shopping centre, the Cathedral, the Castle and the Port.

There are many 1-day conducted coach trips:-

GIBRALTAR-very popular for shoppers looking for tax free goods.

NERJA–a seaside town with famous caves.

RONDA–a picturesque ancient town set way up in the mountains.

For the more adventurous there are trips to places like Sevilla and Granada. And, just across the water to exotic Tangier in North Africa!
