Tavira Garden is a small exclusive holiday complex where all the apartments are privately owned and furnished to a high standard. The Gardens are beautifully kept with an impressive array of palm, carob and olive trees surrounded by an assortment of shrubs and flowers. It is a quiet and green oasis to enjoy with the family or relax and listen to the great selection of birds. There are two adult and two children's swimming pools, tennis court and gymnasium. The main reception area incorporates a bar and restaurant.

With a terrace measuring 16 mtrs x 5 mtrs overlooking the sea, the town and the countryside it is possibly one of the best views on the Algarve. Outside dining table and sun-loungers.

Bedroom one - double bed fitted wardrobes and dressing table.
Lounge has two full-size settees/beds.

Our Stay in Tavira Gardens Apartment
Overall the property was basic it was clean although the oven was dirty. The free standing fan in the bedroom wouldn't function properly until I took it apart and cleaned it. The umbrella on the terrace had no stand to support its weight so couldn't be used. The sheets weren't changed during our 11 day stay lucky we had a washing machine. However we enjoyed our holiday.

We loved our stay in this apartment,Sean the owner was very helpful and gave us lots of info about Tavira,the best beaches,car hire and good places to eat.The apartment is in a lovely location within Tavira Garden complex just a few steps away from the smaller pool which is surrounded by trees and flowers,just great for relaxing.We thought the accomodation was clean and extremely well equipped with everything we could possibly need, but the best part is the huge sunny balcony with views of the national park and the sea ,What a great way to wake up ,, sun shining through the patio doors and the sea sparkling in the distance..We enjoyed the local food in Bica restaurant in Tavira town and also the restaurant in Tavira Garden which has some really good beer!and lovely staff.
Activity and Interests
Tavira's beach (Ilha de Tavira) can be reached by a short 10 minute boat trip and is accessible all year round.
The small fishing village of Cabanas is 2km and is reached by small boat with a charge of 70cents.
Manta Rota beach is 8km away but the beach is easily assesible. You can drive almost on to the beach.
Faro Airport is 30mins drive (€40 £28 by taxi).
Lisbon Airport 3-4 hours drive.
Seville Airport ( Spain) 2-3 hrs drive.
Car hire is recommended from the airport as you can save the above taxi fares.

The beautiful, traditional, Roman Town of Tavira is just 1km away. Plenty of restaraunts and bars ( one night clubs) and the majority of people in the town are Portuguese. Tourists have not quite taken over this beautiful Portuguese town which its famouse for its Roman Bridge, numerous churches and as a local fishing port.
While fresh fish is readily available everywhere, there is also a great selection of local dishes of Beef, Pork and Lamb.
There are two modern supermarket in Tavira with similar products to UK.
There are many small shops, some within 500mtrs from Tavira Garden, but they do not all speak English.

Late flights- The office for your keys is manned until 6 pm. If you plan to arrive after this time there is a charge of £20 upon booking.

- Notes on accommodation: Both apartments have air conditioning. The one bedroom apartment with large terrace has patio table, chairs and sun loungers. The two bedroom breakfast terrace has four chairs and a small table. Well behaved children are welcome as these apartments are furnished to a high standard. Guest are requested not to smoke in the apartments. Bed linen and towels (please bring own beach towels for beach and pool) are provided and changed every 7 days.
