Our well presented, air-conditioned, 2 bedroom (1 en-suite) apartment has all modern facilities for a very comfortable self-catering holiday. The large sunny patio is accessed from both bedrooms and from the very well equipped kitchen which seats 4. The patio has outdoor furniture for 4/8 persons. The cool, calm lounge has TV, and DVD, along with a gas fire. There is ample parking outside the apartment. Tavira is a great place to wander stopping to sample the local catch at one of the many restaurants along the tree lined river. At the western corner of the river mouth is a ferry which runs all year round to the Tavira Island (Ilha da Tavira). The Island boasts a superb sandy beaches backed by tufted dunes, a scattering of café bars and restaurants and excellent water sports. The nearest golf courses are Benamore 18 holes and Colina Verde 9hole executive course with several more top quality courses within 20 mins drive and a set of Golf Clubs are available (free) on request.

We are just about to leave the apartment to travel to Cabanas for our final week. Thank you for the use of your apt. for the last eight days, it was so comfortable, after our experience at Tavira Gardens!

The location of the apartment is perfect for walking into Tavira for restaurants, and for easy access to the en125 for getting around by car.

The standard of everything in the apartment is exceptional, and the wi-fi was an unexpected bonus.



Your apartment is lovely, very nicely furnished without being as personalised as some we have stayed in. It was the proximity to the town and the outside space that were the clinchers when we were looking for somewhere to stay; the quality of the towels, bedding and crockery were a bonus. Melanie Chase

Excellent property, nice owners to deal with.

Stayed here as a first week of a two week stay on the algarve. A real home from home with every conceivable extra at hand. The washing machine and dishwasher are an added bonus. All appliances and furniture are modern and clean. The patio area is a truly wonderful space and is nice to sit out on even after dark.

If anything, John and Sheila under sell this apartment, it exceeded our expectations. Our only regret was that we had not booked this apartment for both weeks as the second accommodation in vilamoura was not near the same standard for more money. My wife wanted me to phone and try to rebook this apartment for the second week.

Don't be put off by the location of Tavira. It is only 40 mins from the airport or an hour from the tourist areas of albufera etc. Restaurants are a lot cheaper and the pace of life a little more sedate on this part of the algarve.

Thanks John and Sheila for the use of your home on the algarve. A huge thanks also to Christine who assisted us locally in Tavira.

Ideal location for relaxing break in the sun

The owners responded very quickly to our enquiries and booking went smoothly. The apartment is 5 mins walk from Tavira rail station and Lidl and 10-15 mins walk to the town centre / river. It was nice and clean, beds lovely and comfortable and decor modern. Nice to have English tv and we loved the air- con in each room, when you need a cool down! However, the absolute sellers on this apartment are the lovely large garden terrace looking out on beautiful shared gardens and amazing restaurant Snackbar Churrasquera Jorge & Lia just a few minutes walk from the front door. We really didn't want to go home!

More than "just a holiday rental".

Excellent apartment in a quiet area within an easy 10 minute walk to the centre of town for a large choice of restaurants. The apartment is,if anything, undersold in the listing description. The fixtures and fittings are of very good quality and almost every need is catered for with so many extras that are not usually supplied in rental accommodation eg. beach mats, electrical adaptors. The property was spotlessly clean especially the kitchen and bathrooms and the air conditioning was very welcome (and necessary).

We had a wonderful week and would certainly recommend the apartment to friends and family, also we would happily return ourselves.

Finally,the owners were a joy to deal with. Informative, helpful and prompt to reply to any communication.

Changeover Day:
Changeover day is arranged to suit flights, and we are flexible out of season. The apartment is to be vacated by 10am on day of departure, and access is not before 4pm on day of arrival. No arrivals at the apartment after 21.00hours.
