Beside the hundreds of ancient olive trees, the jewel of Son Rul.lan is its beautiful old rustic house which is located on the top of a hill with stunning mountain and sea views.

One can enjoy the most stunning sunsets on the coast and enjoy it’s relaxing


It is a traditional Majorcan house of stone which still keeps its original structure of big spaces of lime and plaster, bedrooms simply decorated with old furniture, its tiny chapel and a kitchen with a huge old style traditional fireplace.

I organised a group of 12 family and friends to stay for a week at Son

Rullan last July. It was in celebration of a birthday and so there was

quite a mix of us, and all adults.

The photos of Son Rullan do not prepare you for what a magnificent and

special place it is, I think it is a challenge to capture the sheer

scale of the building and its rooms on camera. We absolutely loved it.

even though we had 12 adults we never felt on top of each other as

there are so many places to sit quietly and take yourself off to if

you wish.

The kitchen and large dining area also meant that huge meals could be

prepared without tripping over each other. For shopping I would

recommend Valldemossa as Deia is very pricey for food. Really, can't

recommend it highly enough. Would happily live there!
