House in Islantilla, Ayamonte, Costa de la Luz - Attractive Garden with Lovely Views, 10 Minutes Walk to the Beach, Well Equipped for Families.

Lomas de Islantilla is on the Costa de la Luz near to the border with Portugal. The beach, Islantilla Golf Club and a good selection of shops and restaurants are all within walking distance. The garden has lovely views and a patio and BBQ for alfresco dining. For the energetic there are paddle tennis courts on site, water sports at the beach and golf at the nearby Islantilla Golf Club. The large swimming pool is located conveniently close to the house and is open from mid June to mid September. There is a children's play area on site just a couple of minutes walk away.

Why Nicky Johnson chose Costa de la Luz - Huelva

We love the underdeveloped coastline in this area, in particular the beaches and walking trails through the pines and dunes that back the beaches. The area has retained a strong Andalusian culture with lots of local festivals and great food and drink. The weather is great!

What makes this house unique

Our guests have commented that they love the area, the beaches and food and in particular the garden which is a great place to sit and enjoy the views and relax. The way of life in Southern Spain is very relaxed and children are welcome in restaurants day or night.

 I went here with 3 of my girly friends all 27 years old 29th July until the 1st of August. We wanted a nice relaxing 4 day break away together in the sun and that is exactly what we had. We arrived at our apartment and could not believe the size of it! A lovely home for us for the next 3 nights. The kitchen had everything you could need, Patio with 4 sun loungers which we made good use of and a BBQ which we used on our first night there. We made a quick pit stop to the supermarket (which had a lot in for a smaller store!) it was just a short 7 minute walk away, very handy! We went out to eat for two of the three nights we were there and it was only a 10-15 minute walk into town and we were walking quite slowly! We would definitely head back here again, it was a lovely break away in a really great location too! The weather was perfect also in the late 20s to 30s. Thank you Nicky for all of your directions and recommendations and Gary also for welcoming us at the apartment on arrival :)!!

Ideal family holiday

We stayed at the end of August and found the accommodation to be ideal, the house was really clean and had everything you could need when away with a family including beach chairs and toys, also a beautiful patio area overlooking the golf course for BBQs at home There is a pool and tennis courts on site which were well maintained and used every day by the children. There is a good range of shops and restaurants in Islantilla and we found the locals to be very friendly, there is a good café within walking distance which is very reasonable. Prices for food were generally less than we had expected which made eating out not such a strain on the purse. The nearby beaches are long and sandy with a couple of bars to get the essential ice cream/drink..

First Class family holiday accommodation

This year was the 3rd visit we have made to this property with our young family, and their grandparents. A lovely well maintained safe and peaceful setting, perfect for the children. The small garden is perfect for evening BBQs so there is no need to eat out every night. The facilities at the property are great including a number of DVDs, toys and games for the children. The pool, tennis courts and playground on the complex are also clean and well maintained. There is a friendly cafe/bar opposite the complex or the more upmarket golf hotel at the top of the road and is only a short walk to the seafront. My 5year old boys have loved it everytime and always want to go back. The location is close to Portugal and a number of water parks and also within driving distance of Seville. The beaches are clean and flat and have small play areas on them. I would recommend this property - definitely good value for money.

Thoroughly Recommended

We stayed 9 nights and wish we had stayed more. Nicky made the transaction so easy to do and kept us fully informed from the moment of enquiry until we visited the villa. The villa was exactly as described on the website. It is beautifully maintained and the complex is wonderful. There is everything you could possible need at the villa and it made our holiday so easy. It backs onto the golf course so there are really good views and yet it is just a simple 15 minute walk to the beach. We had older teenagers with us and there are so many things to do in the area that it is was possible to keep all members of the family happy. I would thoroughly recommend this and we hope to return one day.

Notes on accommodation: Lomas de Islantilla is a pretty gated complex near to the beach but in a peaceful area. The south facing garden is great to eat or relax with sunloungers, table and chairs, BBQ and flowering shrubs in the borders. The house is great for beach or golf lovers, groups, couples or families. We are particularly family friendly and offer of toys, beach equipment, cots and lots more. Outside: Sun loungers, table and chairs in the garden. Beach chairs and beach parasols are provided and a range of children's toys, buckets and spades, paddling pool and games. We also provide a cot, stair gates, booster seats for meals and more. The complex has a larger than average pool with lifeguard. In the summer months the area benefits from a gentle breeze. Utility Room: Outdoor utility room with laundry basket and washing line. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All towels, linen and housekeeping included. A welcome pack can be easily arranged
