Why Sally Gridley chose Sitio de Calahonda

We find Spain a really relaxing place, and find that we unwind very quickly here, sunbathing on the fabulous terrace. The apartment is located in an excellent location, allowing you to visit really interesting places, fabulous beaches and of course wonderful restaurants. It is easy to find quiet beaches near hear and to find totally Spanish places as well! The fact that the apartment is only 20 minutes from Malaga airport is a real plus, making weekend breaks very easy.

What makes this apartment unique

We love the sea views and privacy from the terrace, and also love to cook paellas on the BBQ whist sipping the local wine!

Notes on accommodation: The apartment is fully air-conditioned and heated. There is underground parking in a private parking space, and there is direct lift access to the apartment. Outside: The complex has 4 shared pools and 3 childrens pools set amongst beautiful gardens. There are showers and toilets by each pool. The apartment has a large wrap-around secluded terrace with a built in BBQ.There is a large table and chairs for alfresco dining, along with 6 comfortable sunloungers, with deep filled cushions. There is also an outdoor comfortable seating area, perfect for watching the sunset! The terrace has wonderful sea views, and is not overlooked. Utility Room: Utility terrace, overlooking one of the swimming pools, with ironing board and iron. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All bedding and towels are provided (not beach towels). Cleaning is included at the end of the rental. We offer a meet and greet service, so that clients are met by our presentative upon arrival, and shown around the apartment. Other: The apartment has a very large terrace, which has a large table and 6 chairs, 6 sunloungers, with deep filled cushions, and sun umbrella, a seating area and a built in large BBQ.

The apartment is close to lots of lovely, uncrowded beaches. Calahonda beach is less than a 5 minute drive or a 20 minute stroll. The beaches of La Cala, Cabopina and The Don Carlos are approximately a 10 minute drive away. Parking is very easy, and the beaches are clean and sandy. There are lots of watersports avaialble if required such as jet skiing and banana boats.


The nearest airport is Malaga, and it is a 25 minute drive from the car hire terminal in the international arrivals lounge to our apartment. Car hire companies can be recommended. Gibraltar airport is a 50 minute drive away.


Marbella town is 14km away (10 minutes drive)

Mijas village is approx 10 km away (15 minutes drive)

Malaga is approx 40km away (30 minutes drive)

La Cala is approx 5km away (5 minutes drive)

Ronda is a 1 hours drive away

Gibraltar is 50 minutes away

Granada is a 2 hour drive away

Further Details:

There is a local vey well stocked supermarket, which is open every day, 5 minutes walk from the apartment. There is also a good pub, an excellent pizzeria and a fine Italian restaurant in the vicinity. Calahonda has numerous fantastic restaurants, 3 large supermarkets, lots of banks, pharmacies etc. The Costa del Sol tennis club is a couple of minutes away. The apartment is well placed for visiting local attractions such as water parks, theme parks etc. Please see our website for further information.

Damage Deposit £200

Booking Notes:
A £200 deposit is required at the time of booking, which is returnable following the rental, less any damages. A 20% deposit is also required, with the balance being due 8 weeks prior to arrival. We accept credit cards at a small surcharge.

Changeover Day:
In high season, changeover days are a Saturday, but we are flexible, so please ask.

Notes on prices:
There is a small direct charge in Calalahonda for internet access.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 100% refund for cancellations more than 60 days before check-in date.
  • Service Fee fully refunded on cancellations that qualify for 100% refund.
