Villa Jasmines La Empedrola, Calpe, Costa Blanca, Spain - Totally Private Gardens And Tranquil Surroundings, 10 Minutes From Town/Beaches

This is our family home a private villa which we let out when business takes us to the UK for longish periods. Set amongst the Empedrola community on the outskirts of Calpe, this modern property has been stylishly furnished throughout & enjoys beautiful well kept gardens which surround the swimming pool, sun terrace & bar/BBQ. The property is totally secure & on one level. The lounge & bedrooms have patio doors onto the garden area. Calpe is a near perfect combination of romantic village together with sun and beach. In between Altea to the south and Javea to the north, Calpe with its about 13000 inhabitants is known for its rock called the penon de lfach. This massive rock has been inspiring people from everywhere to come and enjoy the nearly perfect view around the bays and the Costa Blanca. The national road N332 really gives you the kind of holiday feeling as it leads you to Calpe along the coast from Alicante. We have lived here for 15 years and have loved every minute.

My wife and I have lived in Spain for many years and love it here, we are now retired but like to keep busy. We also enjoy sailing and travelling and spend much of the summer either sailing in Greece or touring Europe with our Caravan.

Villa Jasmine belongs to my daughter Michelle, who lived in Spain with her husband and three sons for about 12 years. They now live in the Uk but keep the villa for their own use and for guests during school time and also when they are working.

The villa was bought from an English couple who due to ill health decided to move back home. Since then they completely renovated it making it a perfect home for their family.

What makes this villa unique

The best thing about our property is probably the location, it is so peaceful and has the most beautiful views. We like the fact that it is not overlooked and completely private and secure.

Notes on accommodation: Cot and high chair can be provided on request. Air-conditioning throughout except in bedroom two which has a ceiling fan. The facilities are very suitable for children (we have three boys aged 2, 8 and 15 years.) Sat TV Algiceras (Arabic) BBC World, BBC prime plus film channels. The kitchen leads on to the lounge and dining area. All bedrooms and the bathroom are served by a short internal passageway except for bedroom 4 which is accessed from the lounge. This year we have installed a new internet system - good wifi available through the villa. Outside: The property is entered by a solid alloy gate for security and privacy. Inside the garden is mainly lawn with several shady trees and a covered eating area overlooks the pool and terrace - ideal for al fresco dining. A separate covered barbecue/bar leads off the terrace. Two outdoor tables plenty of chairs and 6 loungers around the pool. Adequate car parking for up to 3 cars (one under cover). Utility Room: Washing machine, sink. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Clean towels and linen provided weekly. (Bring your own bathing towels). Property is cleaned once on changeover day. Other: Barbeque room and bar with fridge, sink.

Relaxing and wonderful days in Calpe

We had really a nice and great week at Mike´s place. Since everything was exactly like in the description, we felt immidiately like "at home" and could start to enjoy our stay! Air condition in all bedrooms (thank God!), towels for both inside and outside use and also a washing machine if needed. Small but fully equiped kitchen, fresh bathrooms - but most of all; A very nice pool and a fantastic BBQ-area where we spent many evenings. The house is located in a calm area only 10 minutes by car (or taxi) to beaches and city life with restaurants & shopping. Calpe is a small but nice city - perfect for families with kids.

The property was fresh and clean on arrival and the pool cleaner came early in the morning twice a week without disturbing you. We would definitely recommend you Mike´s property and if we come back to Spain our first choice would be to go here!

Fantastic, safe, quiet location. Perfect for families.

We came to Spain for my son's wedding on August 12th August in Castell de Castells and needed a base for 6 adults and my 6 year old granddaughter. Los Jasmines fitted the bill perfectly and we were certainly not disappointed. It was like home from home, well equipped, clean and spacious. Great BBQ and outside dining facilities and lovely utility. Short drive to shops i.e Iceland or Lidl and other supermarkets. Short drive to the beach and beautiful Calpe. We just chilled out, dipped in the pool and relaxed.

Large and comfortable

Good villa ideal for a young family with children good swimming pool but a bit deep for very young children.

Great outdoor BBQ area with fridge for wine and beer we sat out there most evenings eating and talking.

Beautiful villa, lovely pool and great surroundings

We can't really fault our experience with the villa or our dealings with the owners. The location being out in the 'sticks' meant that it was lovely and quiet but only being 10mins to the supermarkets by car if required. The bedrooms were spacious with good aircon and comfy beds and a nice large lounge area. The pool was a good size but at nearly 2m deep at one end we had to keep our eye on our youngest, however we all loved it. That just about sums up our stay at Los Jasmines hugely enjoyable, very relaxing and no complaints.

Perfect family villa

Just returned from a lovely family holiday with children & grandchildren , villa jasmine was a perfect venue all bedrooms were of good size & two bathrooms. Outdoor facilities were perfect lots of room and lovely eating alfresco areas, plus easy to use and social barbecue. Overall would definitely return as it was only 10 mins from beach& shops also.

Nice villa. Well equipped and with good heating

We had a great time over Christmas in this villa. The kitchen was well equipped, the lounge and dining area was really comfy, the heating worked well (very important in the cold evenings), and there was plenty of hot water for showers etc. Loads of space outside around the pool for our son to play, and the BBQ worked really well.

The only time we had any issues (pool man had turned off the water, and the shower head leaked) we called the owner and they were dealt with really quickly.

We would recommend this villa to anyone.

Special interest holidays:

Calpe is a great place for rock climbing, walking and rambling holidays. The villa is close to the hills (15 minutes walk and you are in the campo) where there are some lovely country trails to follow. Lots of fauna and flora, peace and tranquility.


We are about 5 minutes by car to the two lovely beaches in Calpe. Calpe has probably the best beaches in the area, two long expanses of soft sand stretch from either side of Calpe's huge "Rock" known as the Peñon d' Ifach. Lots of restaurants, bars and long promenades make it a perfect holiday location.


Travel to Calpe from Alicante airport (about 45 minutes on the motorway) or from Valencia airport (about 90 minutes).

Taxis run from the airports but are expensive, we recommend you arrange a hire car to collect from the airport. We can assist you with this if required.


Calpe is 4km from the villa, Benissa 6km, Jalon valley 8km, Altea 12km, Moraira 12km. (Distances are approximate)

Further Details:

There are many large 'Tesco Type' supermarkets in Calpe at least 8 within 5 -10 minutes drive.

Booking Notes:
Contact by email for availability. 25% deposit required at the time of booking and the balance 6 weeks prior to arrival. We retain £100 to cover any damage or breakages. Refunds will be made within one week after departure from the property.

Changeover Day:
Change over is flexible preferably on Wednesday or Saturday, guests should leave by 10am and arrive after 5pm. Two week blocks are preferable but longer or shorter periods will be considered. A 6 day vacancy from 9th to 16th of August £900 -special offer.

Notes on prices:
The villa is available during the winter months - November to May (minimum stay is 3 Months) Price is €150 per week plus Water, Gas and Electricity. A 6 day vacancy from 9th to 16th of August £900 -special offer.
