Beautiful property. Fantastic location. Very kind, helpful and genuine owner and helpers. Right opposite a small cocktail bar and kebab shop. Convenient shop just round the corner for milk etc

We went dog racing at great Yarmouth stadium, it cost £14 each way, bargain! Loved loved loved the house... Am already planning next visit 👍👍👍👍

Owner's Response: It was a pleasure booking in this party, and like many of our previous clients who re-book year after year, we look forward to adding this party to our list. But equally would love to welcome more new clients this year.

Nice accommodation

  • 4 of 5

The house is large and spacious and has ample room. As far as facilities go the house is well equipped. We visited with 2 young boys and I have to say the house isn't particularly child friendly if they are little. There are lots of ornaments and things around that could be broken and there are lots of stairs, plus everything is white or beige so I'd be paranoid they'd mess! There are a few things that made it not quite perfect. It's on a very noisy corner as there's a pub and a takeaway right outside. Also a lot of light comes in through the thin curtains so don't expect to sleep well. One of the top bedrooms had a streetlight right outside which was flickering too, which was annoying. For a house that has so much in the kitchen including a dishwasher there were a few things missing. No washing up liquid means you can't wash up unless you buy or bring your own. Cloths and sponges are provided. Also no hand wash or soap in any of the 4 bathrooms/loos! I always need the loo as soon as I arrive and I think soap should be available. It would have been nice to find a few teabags/coffee sachets and some milk too so we could has made a cuppa on arrival but not all places provide that. The level of cleanliness wasn't great, mouldy tiles in the bathroom shower, kitchen was a bit dirty, and the carpets are a bit worn and the wall behind the bed in the main bedroom is stained from people's heads (yuck!). Generally it was a bit dusty, there was rubbish under one of the beds, and the beds were very hurriedly made up, all of which just made it not quite feel like a top quality holiday let. The cabinet in the lounge full of ornaments did make me nervous having 2 small boys! But overall not a bad base to explore the area.

Lovely house

  • 5 of 5

We spent 3 days her to celebrate my birthday, the house had everything you could need, washing machine, dishwasher, fridge and freezer, and everything works well. Just a little note that the dishwasher could do with some simple instructions, we put it on once & it only did a pre wash!

The lounge is big and airy, and even thought it has been decorated in a modern style it has a homely atmosphere. I would use this house again, although it can be noisy as people walk right past the front, I guess double glazing might help, but this wasn't really a problem for us.

Nice spacious home with a nice atmosphere.

Lovely spacious house

  • 4 of 5

Spent 1 week here in August 2013. House is clean and spacious, rooms are a good size, kitchen well equipt and there is 1 parking space around the back of the property. Towels and bedding were provided for our stay. Location was ideal for us as we were visiting family in Gorleston. The beach, pubs, amusements and restaurants are within 5 mins walking distance - I definitely recommend Number 1 Bar across the road from the house, child friendly, great customer service and good food! Ocean rooms have a good carvery on a sunday 2 for ?12 too. Gorleston town centre is a bit further to walk to and has quite a few high street shops and banks. Easy to drive to Great Yarmouth, Lowerstoft and Norwich by car but there is also a bus service. Pleasure wood Hills was good fun for a cloudy day, mixture of rides, parrot show and sealion show were good. Redwings horse sanctuary at Caldecott Hall is worth a visit and its free entrance.

Slight Negatives were - back garden - there is no private area to sit outside, the back access is used by the neighbours (who all seemed nice when we spoke to them) their children play football etc outside your back door. If the neighbours decide to have a party while you are there (which happened while we stayed) as the property is a terraced house and you share a back garden you will hear it! There was a fair amount of noise from people walking past when the pubs turned out too.

Overall we had a lovely week and even though it was a little noisy at times we would book again - we have recommended it to some friends already!
