Apartment in Sainte Maxime, Provence-Alps, France - Close To All Amenities Yet In Quiet Residential Setting

The apartment building has four floors and has a lift and also stairs to all the floors and to the basement. The apartment is situated on the first floor and has 2 bedrooms each having two single beds and a large wardrobe. Each bedroom is fitted with air-conditioning and electric radiators. The apartment has a lounge/dining room with air-conditioning and a well appointed kitchen. There is a large loggia (balcony) which has a table and chairs for eating meals outside. It overlooks a quiet garden below the loggia. It has a bathroom with a shower over the bath and a separate wc.

The apartment is situated close to the town centre of Sainte Maxime and its beaches and holiday activities.

Sainte Maxime is a charming seaside town with typical Provencale style streets and buildings, sandy beaches where you can swim from, a variety of bars and restaurants and shady pavements and squares in the town. You can take part in all sorts of nautical activities, you can play golf, or you can sit in a bar with a glass of beer or wine and watch the world go by.

The town has daily street markets where you can buy all sorts of food, spices, drinks, arts and crafts, flowers and fashions. Every Friday morning there is a big outdoor market which takes place on the public car park close to the apartment building. There is also a covered market in the town which is open every day and which has a great variety of food and flowers for sale. It's well worth a visit.

In the summer months the town has fireworks for the holiday-makers and spectacular shows in the Theatre de la Mer on the promenade.

There are many fascinating places to visit in the area both by boat and car. There are perched hilltop villages, the spectacular gorges of the Verdon, coastal footpaths, vineyards and much more.

Ste-Maxime has a wonderful climate with an average 300 days of sunshine each year.

About the Owner

I have spent holidays in France for many years. When our children were young the family spent school holidays on camping and caravan sites in many different parts of France. However we enjoyed the sunshine and the wonderful variety of scenery in the south of France that when we retired we decided to buy a holiday home there.

The town of Sainte Maxime ticked all the boxes for what we wanted so we bought the apartment in 2004.

Dear Tony

The apartment was great; very roomy, comfortable and clean and in an excellent location. We were particularly impressed by the excellent provision of appliances and equipment in the apartment and especially by the beach equipment. It was far better equipped than the “luxury” villa on a holiday complex that our daughter, son-in-law and grand children were staying in.

Well appointed, spacious 1st floor apartment. Comfortable and clean. Close to the sea and the restaurants of St Maxime. We would like to return and enjoy the bakery which is just a short walk from the flat (under a minute).

A fantastic apartment!

What a fantastic apartment - beautifully presented, light and clean with a lovely large balcony. The air conditioning was great to have. The best part though is the location as it is 1 minute from the beach and all the wonderful shops in St Maxime. The owners were so friendly and helpful. Would most definitely recommend. Thank you!

My first visit to Ste Maxime

The apartment is situated in a perfect location for all amenities near by, a few minutes walk to the Beach and shops, restaurants and town. A huge hyper market within a few minutes walk away too. Perfect location. It was lovely to walk in to an apartment that was so clean and well looked after. The description was spot on, with lots of room for a family of four, comfortable beds. The kitchen had every utensil needed along with all other pans and crockery. The Owner was very friendly and helpful and i felt very safe transferring money over. Full contract and receipts of payment and paperwork was always returned to me. We loved our first visit to this apartment and place, we had a lovely holiday. We didn't dislike anything about it. Having two teenage children that wanted Wifi we could also purchase this in the Tourist Office. Yes I would recommend this apartment to my friends and family and I would have no hesitation about staying in this apartment. Its a YES in every way.

Fantastic location and value

We were really impressed with both the location and the standard of the apartment. Right in St Maxime - near to the beach and amenities (restaurants, supermarkets, shops) we had a fantastic fortnight. Staying with two young children, the apartment was ideal - robust, very clean, modern well-appointed and equipped with everything we needed for our stay. Air conditioning made the hot nights comfortable and a super balcony to eat on of an evening and morning was a lovely addition. Would really recommend the apartment to either families or couples. The beaches around St Maxime are varied and close to the apartment, would recommend a trip to St Tropez on the boat also. So much to do in the immediate area of St Maxime, we did not use our hire car for the two weeks of our holiday. We would certainly stay here again!

Location

From the Owner

The apartment is situated right in the heart of Sainte Maxime town. It is close to all the amenities and close to the beach. No need to have a car while here because everything is close by or you can get public transport to take you wherever you want to go. Shopping is easy as there is a big supermarket just 3 or 4 minutes walk away and there are many local shops nearby.

Coast/Beach:

The local sandy town beach is less than 5 minute walk away and there are many other beaches in the town and along the coast both eastwards towards La Nartelle and westwards towards Port Grimaud. A cycle track runs alongside the coast from Ste. Maxime to St. Tropez and provides access to many beaches on the way.

There is a Base Nautique in Ste Maxime which offers courses in many water sports and there is also a diving school.

Travel:

Nice and Toulon airports are approx 1 hour drive away. Nimes and Marseilles are about 2 hours drive away. For motorists leave autoroute A8 at junction 36 and follow D25 signs to Ste. Maxime/St. Tropez. More details given on booking.

Distances:

St. Tropez is a delightful 20 min journey by Bateaux Verts ferries which run throughout the year. Port Grimaud, Grimaud- village, Gassin, Cogolin, Le Muy are all less than half hour drive away. Frejus and St. Raphael are half hour drive away. Local buses go to St. Raphael and St. Tropez. Trains from St. Raphael travel along Cote d'Azure to Nice and Vintimillia and also to Marseille and rest of France.

Further Details:

The apartment is a 5 min walk from a Carrefour supermarket. There is an excellent boulangerie just a 1 minute walk from the door of the apartment which sells a variety of delicious food. The town has many bars and restaurants which are just a few minutes walk away. There are banks and cash machines nearby and the Tourist Information Office is just minutes away.

It is situated on the 1st floor of the building and there is a lift to all floors. There is storage space in each bedroom and in a large built-in cupboard in the hallway. There is air conditioning in the lounge and bedrooms and the patio doors through the lounge to the loggia allow an open aspect to the lounge. The apartment has its own private garage in the basement of the building and there are a number of free car parks nearby.
