This luxury apartment in Marina Real is well situated with all rooms and patio overlooking the pretty marina. It is fully equipped with satellite TV and full air conditioning. Marble floors throughout. Lifts and ramps allow wheelchair use. Immediate access (same level as apartment) to upper pool and sun terrace with sun beds etc. A further pool is situated in the lower garden area with private gate giving direct access to the adjoining unspoilt beach, beach bars etc (lifeguards in high season). Easy access to numerous top class golf courses and the pretty mountain villages. Everything you need for the perfect holiday.

About The Owner

I live in Somerset, England, with my husband, Clive and Jack Russell,Bruce. We are both retired and love to spend as much time as we can in Duquesa.

The Owner purchased this apartment in 2004

Why The Owner chose Manilva

Whilst holidaying in Southern Spain in Feb 2004, By chance we came across this jewel of a Marina, we now know as Duquesa. As we sat outside one of the many portside bars, having lunch in the warm winter sunshine, we could think of no nicer place to be. We spent several days viewing apartments in the port and bought the best.

What makes this apartment unique

The apartment has stunning views of the Marina from all the main rooms. It is on the same level as the upper terrace Pool,which is 20 mtrs down the corridor.

Immediate access via garden gate to a delightful unspoilt beach with a beach bar which serves some of the best food on the coast.

There is a 2nd pool in garden which is very child friendly.The apartment is minutes walk from everything you need for a perfect holiday.

Great Apartment

4 of us stayed here for a long weekend , the location of the apartment is superb with a balcony overlooking the harbour what more could you ask for .Everything you need and more in the apartment for a perfect stay and its on the same floor as the pool , so perfect .Booking was easy with plenty of communication and key pick was just as described. Would definitely stay here again if visiting puerto de la duquesa

A beautiful base to stay in glorious sunshine

Just returned from a fabulous family holiday in this beautiful resort. This was a great place with excellent bars and restaurants just as you stepped out your front door. Great pools and lovely beach. Recommend a car to travel round the Island. Puerto Banus a must and Gibralter a must see. Cannot wait to return next year and take in the views of the marina again x

spring break

Had a nice week with our grandson in this well equipped apartment very well located lots of bars shops and restaurants within a couple of minutes walk , Very good beach bar also 5 minutes walk away . Nice balcony with excellent view over the marina unfortunately it doesn't get the sun in the afternoon which is a shame .

1 min walk to safe sandy beach with an excellent chiringuito serving local fresh food (fish is highly recommended) beautiful sandy beaches stretch for miles in either direction with many beach bars (chiringuitos).


55 min from Malaga: 20 min from Gibraltar and approx 80 min from Jerez. Duquesa's many bars/restaurants, shops etc all an easy stroll from the apartment mean that car hire is not essential. Taxis are available for Airport transfers (80 euros approx). There is also a taxi rank in the marina. However car hire is very reasonable e.g. car hire for 1 week is the price of a taxi from the airport - please ask for details.


Sabinillas, typically Spanish, is 10 min walk (2 min in car) excellent supermarket and general shop - all the usual bars, restaurants. 10 min drive takes you to the lovely white hilltop village of Casares a further 30 min into the hills brings you to Gaucin. The historic town of Ronda 80 min, famous for its ancient bull ring and amazing bridge across the gorge is a breath taking drive or a train leaves 4 x daily from San Roque. Gib 20 min Tarafa 60 min (surfing and ferry to Tangier).

Further Details:

Duquesa is totally self contained and can provide all your every day needs i.e. banking, provisions, beauty care, restaurants of all nationalities takeaways fashion and jewelry, internet cafe; a very helpful tourist info centre who can also give details of coach tours.
