Luxurious sought Penthouse apartment with magnificent sea views. Centrally situated. The property includes three bedrooms (one double, two large twin), two large bathrooms and three private sun terraces. It has a modern spacious interior with Flat screen TV, DVD, satellite, wireless internet access, air conditioning and a modern kitchen with granite and all mod cons. The apartment is furnished to a high standard. Although this area is peaceful and quiet, it's very central & conveniently situated. All bars and restaurants are only a 5 minute walk away. The 5 Star Hotel Principe Felipe, is also within walking distance (10min)

In addition Bellaluz Square is a busy central plaza which has restaurants, boutiques, bars and live entertainment only a few minutes walk. The tennis center is conveniently opposite Los Olivos. La Manga Club's beach 'La Carla' is a 5 minute drive, hosts a restaurant overlooking the sea open during April-October.

Slightly further a field are beaches Playa Calblanque Mar de Crystal or La manga Strip.

La Manga Club has two entrances to the complex which are both monitored by 24 hour security and barrier protection.

Outside

Guests also have three private sun terraces. The upper deck (18'x16') has 6 sun loungers, smaller balcony off the main bedroom and lower deck (20'x18') has a table with 6 chairs, built in barbecue and food preparation area with amazing views of the ocean at Mar Menor for great alfresco dining.

Two supermarkets are within a few minutes walk of the apartment. Nearby restaurants include La Bodega-a typical Spanish bodega with local wines and excellent Tapas; Uncle Sams- all American style; Si restaurant and bar offers all night children's entertainment whilst you eat-bouncy castle/football/juggling etc. Andale- Mexican; Asia-Asian cuisine ; La Cala is nestled on a rocky outcrop over the private beach and has the finest fish and seafood. Luigis is the finest Italian with fish, pasta and pizzas.

All are family friendly and most a short stroll away.

There are cafes nearby and many shops. The nearby Bellaluz square has pubs , boutiques, pharmacy, bars and central plaza.

About the Owner

With 4 children it was important to us to have a guaranteed sunny break, with flexibility. We love having the choice of dining out, or simply barbequing on the balcony. The flexibility meant we didn't have to rush from the pool to dine out if we wanted to simply chill, eat alfresco and wander out for drinks & entertainment later. As the children got older, we were able to still watch them in the pool from the balcony. (30 seconds to get to the pool if necessary!) Also relaxing with a drink on the balcony knowing the younger children were safe in bed was priceless. We holiday here four times a year during Winter & Summer months as the Seasons here are wonderful. We love the Climate, food, flexibility, facilities, space and tranquility.

Thank you for a wonderful stay. The property was lovely and location to amenities was excellent. We will look to book for next year once we know the dates. We go to La manga every year in June and wanted to move away from our usual apartment. We found this property to be in an excellent location. Rooms were well appointed and views were great looking all the way to sea. Evening barbecues are a must. The pool in Los Olivos is nice and private with sun all day.

Fabulous and very spacious penthouse, pool, location and complex

Wonderful holiday, the penthouse is incredible, so much space, 3 balconies, 3 fab bedrooms perfect for families or 3 couples, 2 bathrooms and all the facilities you could need. I just wish I'd booked a longer break now! It has access to 3 pools (1indoor) and you also have a magnificent view of the pool and the complex from your largest balcony, perfect for a few evening drinks or BBQ.

Safe to say we will be returning soon!

Brilliant location. Spectacular views. Superb ambiance

Stayed in La Manga regularly - love the Los Olivos Penthouses. Just a fantastic location close to the shops but far enough away to enjoy a spectacular view from the generous terrace with a cool one. Great holiday - will be back!

Great holiday rental

Just returned from a lovely 9 days in this apartment. That's the first positive- the owner was happy to accommodate our dates rather than restrict to the usual 7 or 14 nights most apartments request in high season. We have stayed in the resort and other apartments before but 24p was exceptional for its location and amenities. The kitchen was well equipped- 2 fridges which was handy for chilling the beers and wine! Close to pool yet felt private. Air con was great and the upstairs bedroom was like ice when it was on! Not hot as a previous review suggested. The apartment was homely- there was some minimal wear and tear but nothing that would stop me recommending the apartment. Overall- great experience booking with owner who was happy to contact me directly when the website didn't work. Arriving at the apartment was so easy with the key box- generally before we have had to go and collect keys but owner supplied code so we had direct entry. Wifi worked for whole period which is unusual when on holiday but a definite bonus!! Finally- as we had a late flight back, we were able to remain in the apartment until late afternoon- again unusual as normally you have to check out by 10am.

I will definitely be requesting to book 24p again for our next trip to la manga! Thank you for sharing your holiday home!!

Fantastic accommodation with spectacular views

This an amazing penthouse in a wonderful location, convenient to an excellent variety of shops, bars and restaurants. The views are spectacular both day and night. Having two terraces gave everyone their own space. The accommodation could not be faulted. It is in pristine condition. We will certainly be returning again.

Spacious Sun Trap!

As a family of 4, we found the penthouse really spacious. It had all the facilities we needed. The kids loved the pool, which wasn't busy even during the October half term! We enjoyed the warmth of the Autumn sun on the top terrace in the afternoon when retiring for a lazy lunch.

The rear terrace is large and the views are beautiful. Excellent for taking breakfast on and enjoying an evening BBQ.

Facilities at La Manga Club are plentiful, as are the bars and restaurants. Venture out of the Club and the options grow exponentially! La Manga Strip, Cape Palos locally with Cartagena and Los Alcazeras a little further afield.

There are some beautiful beaches a short drive away and the amphitheatre at Cartagena is well worth a visit.

We had a lovely stay and would definitely visit again.

Owner's Response: Please don't let this review put you off. Rental properties are subjected to wear & tear which is why we have replaced major items. We have 30+ renters yearly as the property is so desirable. New Leather sofa's, outdoor furniture, linen, towels, & a brand new bedroom upstairs had just been purchased before this review arrived.......We always update and replace furniture at the start of the season. Please see management's reply I am totally surprised and disappointed to see this as they never said a word to us during their stay? As you know we leave a welcome letter inviting them to contact us if they are not happy with the cleaning so we can put it right but we heard nothing. I have attached a copy and confirm we do this as we care about the cleaning and making the renters happy but especially so you don't get bad reviews like this. If I remember, this is the chap who was very rude to Les when he called to change the Ariel on the wifi saying he didn't know anything about it even though we had been emailed beforehand? He was also the one who demanded I wash his towels mid stay if you remember and was also very rude to me on the phone? Please let me know if you would like me to also email him and I think he has been very unfair not to tell us while here so we could put it right? We purchased Los Olivos 14 years ago. We have a busy working, family and social life, with four children ranging at the time 2-16 years (now 14-28). The tranquility helps recharge our batteries, and energize. Our apartment is centrality located, with sea views overlooking the main swimming pool. Built to the highest spec the Penthouse is desirable and sought after. This property is ideal if you peace and quiet, but want restaurants, bars and entertainment at your figure tips. We didn't want to get eat out every night so lovely to stay in, bbq and enjoy the views on the balcony. The 5 * hotel also offers class live entertainment, which is highly recommended. With Security at both entrances of the resort, this gives invaluable peace of mind.

Nearest Barpub : The last drop at 30 Metres Nearest Golf : la manga club at 1 Metres Nearest Restaurant : There's so many at 50 Metres Car: not necessary

Special interest holidays:

The Activity Booking Centre can also arrange water sports activities in association with the Mar de Cristal water sports centre on the Mar Menor. Dinghy sailing and windsurfing rental and/or tuition is available as well as power boat trips and water skiing or wake boarding. If you just want to spend some time at the beach, sun beds and sun shades can also be hired for the day. The shallow waters of the inland sea make this an ideal family destination and pedalos and canoes are also available for hire. Mar de Cristal is only 10 minutes drive from La Manga Club. Horse riding is available 5 minutes away, with lessons if required.Tennis holidays at La Manga Club: Whether you want to play tennis for fun during your holiday or you want to improve your game with some coaching there is no better place in Europe for a tennis holiday. Hot summers and mild winters in this region of Spain mean you can indulge your passion for tennis all year round.

Coast/Beach:

There are several beaches. La Manga club has its own beach La Carla. This is the Med side and is a natural cove. This is a 5 min drive in the car, or take the Hotel mini bus which drives around the resort will drop you off and collect at designated sites and times. Beach loungers are available to hire with sun shades. Cal Blanque is a beach 15 min drive which is a nature reserve. There is a book full of places and restaurants to go in the apartment.La Manga strip has beaches on either side.

Travel:

Many airlines fly into both Murcia and Alicante airports. Ryanair fly to Murcia airport which is approx 25 minutes drive to La Manga club. Easy Jed, Flybe, Monarch fly to Alicante airport approx 75 mins away by car.

Distances:

Centrally situated on La Manga club all supermarkets, bars, entertainment 5-10min walk max. Los Belones (next town) 5-7 min car journey. La Manga strip 10-20 min (strip 28km long) Cabos de Palos 10-15 min car journey Mar de crystal beach 5-10 min car journey Cartagena 20 mins car journey Alcazares beach 15 mins.

Changeover Day:
Changeover day is prefably Saturday to Saturday during the Summer months but we are more flexible during the low and mid season. Arrival is 4pm and departure is 10.30am. However we are able to extend times if there isn't a back to back booking.

Notes on prices:
Bookings over 4 people,( using the double, and main twin) an extra surcharge of £10 pp nightly.

Short breaks are calculated pro rota with a surcharge of £75.

The benefits of this property are location, spacious, centrally located on the resort, making wherever you wish to be quicker and easier. La Manga Club in some parts is quite hilly, and can be quite a walk, but Los Olivos is perfectly placed. The shops, bars, cafe's, restaurants and the hotel is within easy walking distance. Having three balconies, this property offers Winter sun all year around, or Summer sun with shade on the front, or a balcony off the main bedroom for some peace and quiet. Los Olivos also offers two pools and an indoor heated pool with jacuzzi if renting in Winter months.

  • Notes on accommodation: Wifi is available in the apartment via a service provider on the Club. There are also many bars and restaurants who have free Wifi. Cots, stair gates and high chairs can be hired at extra cost. Our apartment is safe for children providing hire of a stair gate is arranged for babies and toddlers, blocking access to the upstairs balcony. Recommendation age for children 5+ (unless stair gates) Outside: There is a roof terrace for private sun bathing with 6 loungers along with a large private terrace, with built in barbecue, ideal for alfresco dining boasting spectacular sea views. A further quiet terrace off the main bedroom. There are 3 communal pools in Los Olivos, 2 outdoor pools both with children’s pool and a large indoor heated pool with separate jacuzzi and gym. This is ideal for winter breaks as the apartment hosts winter sun terraces to capture the winter sun. The apartment has a main terrace with sea views comprising of a built in BBQ, table and 6 chairs, 6 sun loungers. There is a portable BBQ to take upstairs if during the winter and you want to make the most of the sun, this balcony is also ideal for private sun bathing. There is a private sun terrace off the main bedroom. The gardens are communal, beautifully looked after by our gardeners. Utility Room: Washing machine in kitchen area. 2 drying area's outside Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bathroom towels and linen are provided. Changed weekly or mid stay if staying for 2 weeks. A mid stay clean can be arranged at extra cost if required during a weekly stay. Beach towels are not provided, but can be hired for £4 each. Other: 3 balconies. 2 balconies provide winter sun during the Winter months. The upstairs balcony is ideal for private sun bathing.
