Arguably the best private urbanization in the area, the Gran Vista complex has spectacular views over Carabasi beach and across to Alicante city and its castle (Castillo de Santa Barbara). The urbanization disposes of more than 30,000 m2 of garden grounds mapped out by small footpaths amidst the Olive and Palm trees. Nicely surrounded by green lawn you will find 4 swimming pools, (2 of which are for children), 2 tennis courts, a football playing area and playground for the young ones. The community has its own convenience store and restaurant/Coffee Shop. This stunning quiet community enclosed by separate entrance and exit gates benefits from 24 hours security (during summer) making a perfectly safe place for family holiday.

"We were met by our host Maria on our arrival who were more than gracious with advice and help. The welcome pack was lovely and just what we needed to start our holiday. The house was everything and more that we needed and we felt like we were home from home. Our family is made up of 5 children ranging in ages from 15 down to 8 and 2 adults. We had more than enough room and the facilities at the complex were second to none. We have had many holidays in various destinations but this holiday was a different kind of holiday. It was peaceful and restful for the adults and the children had a ball. We did not want to leave and regretted not taking a fortnight instead of a week. If you want busy then hire a car, otherwise ideal holiday for peace and enjoyment of the local area. Would definately love to come back. Wir haben 2 wunderbare Ferienwochen in Gran Vista verbracht, unsere Gastgeberin Maria war sehr nett, wir haben alles so vorgefunden wie im Expose beschrieben und können dieses Ferienhaus allen empfehlen die einen erholsamen, ruhigen Urlaub in einem wunderschönen Ambiente verbringen möchten.

Gran Vista - brilliant yet again

Superb holiday yet again in in Gran Alicant at the fantastic gran vista urbanisation - The house has everything you could ever need and was great for our family ( 4 adults & 2 children) the pool and onsite shop were both very near...which was great. Maria the owner was brilliant keeping in touch throughout the booking process and ensuring our stay was trouble free...

Perfect for our family

Everything from start to finish was just perfect. Maria was lovely, her communications before arrival, upon arrival and on leaving were so helpful and thorough, which is always so reassuring.

The house was as advertised and worked really well for our family of five, and again Maria's explanation of how everything worked was excellent.

It was a great base to explore further afield, and we also found everything we needed in the local shops.

Showers were fantastic, beds very comfy and the kitchen well equipped for all our needs.

If we need to be in that area again I would definitely book this house again.

Coast/Beach:

Centrally located, it is an ideal place from which to explore the wide-ranging Valencian region. With Alicante as your closest city, other surrounding well known towns are Benidorm and Calpe to the north, and La Marina and Torrevieja to the south. The nearest local town to Gran Alacant is Santa Pola.

Alicante boasts some of the best beaches on the Costa Blanca. Official sources have declared Spanish beaches as the most environmentally healthy in Europe.

Travel:

Cheap direct flights available from the UK to Alicante from Easyjet.co.uk, Vueling.com, or Rayan Air.

Take a taxi to Gran Vista in Gran Alacant (10 mins – around 20 Euros from Alicante Airport).

Car (from Alicante Airport): Exit the airport direction Alicante / Santa Pola, at about 1 km down the road exit to the right joining the N-332 direction Santa Pola / Cartagena. Drive for about 5km (3 miles) going through the tunnel and then take the second exit on your right to Gran Alacant.

Distances:

10 min from Alicante airport.

15 min from Alicante City.

5 min from Santa Pola Town.

2 min from Beach.

15 min from Golf.

Further Details:

Gran Alacant can offer you the best of both worlds. Those looking for a relaxing holiday lounging by the pool, a bit of tennis for exercise and a quiet meal in the near by restaurant are well catered for. There is however plenty to do for those looking for something a bit more active or fun. The excellent motorway network ensures that near by surrounding areas and attractions are not sorrowfully missed. There is so much to do! A nifty 40 minutes away by car (just outside of Benidorm) is Terra Mitica, a theme park to be enjoyed by both adults and kids alike. In Benidorm, nestling in one of its hills is the superb fun packed water park Aqualandia which is next to Mundomar the sea life centre.

Although nightlife in Gran Alacant is quite low key, it is by no means lifeless. Numerous bars and restaurants (and more on the way) constantly entertain those who are quite happy to enjoy good food and a great bottle of wine. And for variety you may want to try some ‘tapas’ or even dining at one of Santa Pola’s best restaurants – Moniatos and Polamar. On the other hand, the near by city of Alicante (15 mins) has a bustling nightlife catering for every taste.

Amidst all the facilities and services in the area you will find supermarkets, banks (with cash dispensers), Video/DVD rental, car rental, petrol station and even a local street market. And although we hope you will not need them, you will find doctors surgery, pharmacy and opticians.

A stones’ throw from Gran Alacant, less than a mile down the hill, is the above mentioned Los Arenales del Sol beach. The beach is never empty. Even in the ‘our’ winter you find people running or walking by the shore. And although the beach is prepared for the Easter Break it is in the height of summer that all types of water sports become available. If your priority is a healthy tan, then a few trips to Los Arenales beach is definitely a must!
