Luxury modern detached and very spacious villa with a private pool that sleeps up to 12 people. There are 4 very large bedrooms and 3 fully fitted bathrooms, plus one WC. One of the bedrooms is a family room that sleeps up to 6 and it has a superb family bathroom with a jacuzzi bath and separate shower. The family room also has a small kitchen with dining table and chairs, a sofa and it has patio doors leading out to the pool area. On the main floor is an impressive entrance hall that leads to the master bedroom with en-suite and walk in wardrobe. The other 3 bedrooms are on the lower floor which have doors that lead out to the pool area and extensive garden area.

The inside dining area has patio doors that lead out to the upper terrace where there is another eating area. The spacious lounge with an open fire place also has patio doors leading out to the upper terrace that overlooks the pool area. Downstairs, the family room is unbelievably large with two double beds, a sofa bed, en-suite bathroom with large corner jacuzzi bath, separate shower cubicle, sitting area with dining table/chairs and a kitchenette with fridge, electric hob, tea/coffee making facilities etc. All patio doors mentioned have lockable door grills along with the windows.

The villa has satellite TV, Internet access, a Safe and under floor heating.

Villa el Prado is located in a prestigious and peaceful area near Urb San Rafael situated above Nerja and below Frigiliana. It is surrounded by beautiful private enclosed gardens with stunning views of the sea and mountains from the terraces. There is a purpose built BBQ area with an outside sink and a dedicated seating area.

The pool is surrounding by a terrace and there is a shaded part where you'll find outside furniture and a fridge. The garden area is to the front and rear of the villa. The steps leading down to the villa via the upper terrace have lockable gates and near the BBQ area.

Only 10 minute drive to the beach in Nerja and 5 min drive to Frigiliana. The Villa is away from traffic noise and busy roads yet within easy distance to local amenities and no dirt track roads or difficult navigation required!

Wonderful family villa

The villa was even lovelier than in the photos. All the facilities and equipment we could want and everything worked well and was clean and safe for the young children in the family. All the arrangements worked like clockwork and emails were replied to immediately. The villa is in a beautiful position and the village of Frigiliana was delightful and the beaches in Nerja were perfect for the family. We had a brilliant holiday and would happily return to the villa and would recommend it to friends.

A Fantastic relaxing Villa

We have stayed at the villa for at least 8 years now. It`s so relaxing and peaceful yet close to great supermarkets and amenities.

The villa is always spotlessly clean and so well equipped. Comfortable loungers for relaxing around the pool. The accomodation is very spacious and would suit 2 families. The pool is clear blue and so welcoming.

We have enjoyed bbq`s up on the top terrace with superb views over the sea.

Thoroughly recommend the villa for families or anyone looking to enjoy a quiet relaxing holiday but able to have a coffee on the wonderful Balcon in Nerja.

Great Stay

Villa El Prado was brilliant, the accommodation was exactly as described. Very quiet and peaceful, on a well made up side road, running parallel to the Nerja/Frilliana road, so they are easily accessible, 5-10mins by road. Nerja is a lovely town, with great beaches, restaurants/bars etc. Where as Frilliana is a very pretty village with lots of bars/restaurants.

If however, like we did, we rarely left the Villa, as we cooked or barbequed most days, spending lots of time swimming in the pool. There is a Lidl half way to Nerja where we got all our provisions.

The holiday was just great, will return again. Thank you

Lovely and relaxing holiday

Had a wonderful family holiday, should have booked longer than a week really. Accommodation worked well for our six adults and two children. Pool was superb and so was the adjoining garden and bbq area, especially for the little ones. Although we ventured out a couple of times into Nerja and Frigiliana, evenings were spent at the villa, mostly around the BBQ. The villa is in a lovely quiet spot, with no traffic to disturb the peace. Villa is really spacious and well laid out with plenty of shade and sunbeds. Ernesto the maintenance man visited a couple of times and was always polite and helpful.

If it helps, we hired a car locally from a company called Lessaggro, who delivered and picked up the car to and from the villa.

Would not hesitate to recommend the villa to families or couples.

Melanie who met us at the villa, was most helpful especially organiseing a welcome pack, and with any questions or queries we had during our stay.

Wonderful Holiday Villa

We enjoyed a fantastic 10 day stay in Villa El Prado; The villa is situated on a private road with very little traffic; it is extremely spacious and has a gorgeous outside area with beautiful pool and BBQ area. The views from the upper and lower terraces were stunning. El Prado is ideally situated between Nerja and Frigiliana and we enjoyed visits to both; local taxis were easy to order for night time trips to Nerja where there are plenty of lovely eateries; Burriana beach ( a few minutes away by car) has plenty of beach beds, bars, and restaurants serving a wide range of reasonably priced dishes including delicious barbecued fish and freshly prepared paella. Our teenagers loved the villa and the nightlife that Nerja has to offer; we hope to return and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others.

Perfect holiday villa

PPP Perfect property, Perfect location, Perfect holiday. This was a beautiful villa in a stunning location with fantastic views down to the sea and stunning mountain views. This is everything you need and more. It certainly got the wow factor from us. Great outside terraces to eat, drink and relax on with plenty of tables, chairs and sun loungers. The pool is the icing on the cake, a good size so you can enjoy a leisurely swim or for just lying on a Lilo floating around and listening to the birds (heaven). Beautiful gardens with mature plants and trees and a great BBQ area where you can grill your sardines while sipping your gin and tonic. The accommodation inside is just has lovely with large bedrooms and plenty of bathrooms so your not on top of one another and a large lounge, not that you'll be inside much. A five minute drive gets you to the beautiful village of frigiliana with its beautiful white narrow streets and restaurants. If you want something a bit livelier then again a five minute drive gets you to the lovely beach resort of Nerja. Plenty to do for the whole family here. Lots of shops, bars and restaurants. We had an absolutely fantastic holiday here and would highly recommend it for all ages. Take a trip to the caves, breathtaking.

We have owned this property since 2004 and particularly chose Cortijo San Rafael because of its quiet and picturesque location in the hills between Nerja and Frigiliana without being remote. The views from the various terraces are spectacular both down to the Mediterranean and up into the hills behind.

Special interest holidays:

If you enjoy walking then there are plenty of organised walking tours in the Village of Frigiliana. There is a lovely walk from Nerja to Frigiliana approx 6 kms where you pass the famous caves, streams and cascades of fresh mountain water. Above Frigiliana is an 8 km walk to the 1000m high summit of el Fuerte, “the tough one”, a massive rock buttress towering over the village and its surrounding peaks. Breathtaking panoramas appear: northwards across the steep valley of the Rio Higueron to the jagged peaks of the Sierra de Almijara, and southwards over the foothills to Nerja, Torrox and the Mediterranean. The best time is in the Spring before the heat of July and August.

Coast/Beach:

Nearest town is Nerja 2.5km which boasts 16km of coastline with seven beaches within walking distance of the town. Its attractions include more than 500 bars, cafes and restaurants, the famous Balcón de Europa and underground Caves.

Travel:

The nearest airport is Malaga approx 45 minutes drive away. We would recommend hiring a car to travel to the villa from the airport and exploring the area. However if you don't hire a car there is a bus stop at the end of the road (approx 7/10 min walk) that will take you to Frigiliana or Nerja. You can catch a bus from the bus station in Nerja to surrounding villages and towns. A transfer from the airport can be arranged on your behalf.

Distances:

The villa is 1.5km from the whitewashed mountain village of Frigiliana and 2.5km from Nerja. The historic village of Frigiliana is famous for its muscatel wines and local olive oil. There are over 25 bars and restaurants where you can enjoy a great meal. There is a shopping centre approx 10 min drive away and Malaga city centre is only approx 35 min drive.

Further Details:

Nearest local shops, restaurants, banks is in Frigiliana. For larger supermarkets and a wider selection of facilities visit Nerja. In Frigiliana village there is a sports centre. Please note that supermarkets are not normally open on a Sunday however petrol stations are so you can get some basic provisions. If you would like to hire a pushchair so save you having to travel with it, then please enquire. Price is approx 20 euros for the week.

You will be welcomed at the Villa upon your arrival to show you around, handover the keys etc. You will have a local contact should you require any assistance during your stay. We have a team of very friendly and helpful people that look after the Villa and you!

Changeover Day:
We are flexible with the arrival time in the lower season months providing no changeovers otherwise check in time on day of arrival is 16:00 hours. Check out time on day of departure is 10:30 hours or it is possible to book another day and the price is pro-rata.

Pool/beach towel not provided only bath towels are provided.

Booking deposit of 30% and damage deposit £200 which is refundable subject to no damage. If arriving within eight weeks of the rental period then full payment is required. A booking form will be sent for completion plus booking terms.

EUR accepted. For multiple weeks, e.g. 2 full weeks then there is a maid service included in the price.

It is very peaceful and the road is effectively a cul de sac so there is no through traffic. It is no more than a 10 minute drive down to the town of Nerja or 5 minutes up into Frigiliana which is a famous Spanish “White Town” or “Pueblo Blanco”. The property is very well laid out to provide plenty of accommodation either for one or two families. The garden is well laid out and there is plenty of parking for 3 cars off street. The neighbouring properties are all very similar in size and ownership and everyone in the area is very friendly. We have thoroughly enjoyed our years of ownership and hope to have many more happy times ahead of us. Our friendly management team will certainly look after you during your stay and you will have a dedicated point of contact.

Notes:

  • Notes on accommodation: There is a cool air fan in each room for the summer months so windows can be left open for the breeze to come through too. All doors and windows have lockable grills for extra safety and security. There is an open fire place for the winter months plus additional heating. The swimming pool and garden has gates around it. There is also a lockable gate from the upper terraces to the pool. The Villa is suitable for children especially with the large lawned garden areas where they can run around. The pool will be maintained during your stay so it stays clean (and the garden too depending upon the time of year and how long you are staying). Outside: There is a secure and lockable gate with a driveway for 2 cars upon entrance to the Villa. There is a purpose built BBQ area on a separate patio with table and chairs. The swimming pool is enclosed and is on the garden level and is 10m x 5m long, and 1 m deep in the shallow end and 2m deep the other end. It can be accessed via lockable gates from the higher level terraces which is particulary important for children. There are also sun loungers, an outside sofa and chairs plus an outside fridge under the shaded terrace in the pool area which is great in the summer months. 1350 sqm of private gardens surround the villa and these are maintained to a very high standard as well as the pool during your stay. There is a rotary line and pegs in another part of the garden. Each terrace has garden furniture and there are approx 14 garden chairs in total. There are also plenty of sun loungers to use around the pool, garden or terraces. Utility Room: Separate room with washing machine and cleaning equipment. There is a rotary line outside to dry laundry. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All linen including sheets and towels will be provided and clean linen will be changed on a weekly basis for multiple weeks stays, i.e. 2 weeks. The villa will be cleaned before and after your departure. An interim clean can be provided at an extra cost. Other: Dining area includes dining table and chairs plus a highchair. The bedrooms with patio doors to the garden also have lockable grill style safety doors.
