This brand new luxury apartment is situated between Marbella and Gibraltar, it is perfect for a beach or golf holiday. Only 5 mins from Estepona, 15 minutes from Marbella and Puerto Banus. Puerto de la Duquesa is often known as Spain’s best kept secret due to its location and beautiful surroundings. Our apartment is not on a hill but literally right next to the bustling marina and beautiful sandy beaches.We have just installed a new satellite box to ensure that our guests can now receive all there favorite channels!!

Hi, my husband and I and three adult children live in England, but enjoyed our holidays so much in Spain we decided to purchase a holiday home big enough to accommodate us all!After much searching for the right area we discovered Duquesa and spent three holidays there to be sure it was the right location for everyone. We have not been disappointed, Duquesa has something for everyone without it being rowdy. The Marina surrounded by its various restaurants and bars are more than enough for any age group, and no need to take the car out at night which is a plus for us, as mum and dad end up being a taxi service! Duquesa is a beautiful part of the Costa Del Sol and I have many repeated bookings every year, so go on give it a try!

Why michaela chose Manilva

Duquesa has something for everyone and having adult children we didn't want to become taxi drivers for them so location was very important. So our apt is in the perfect location for them to walk everywhere, as everything is literally minutes away even the beach. It is also very accessible from malaga airport and Gibraltar airport, so much so that my children often fly over with there friends now and leave mum and dad behind to work. The range of restaurants is vast so there is something for everyone.Gibraltar is only 20 mins away which is a plus for all your duty frees and I have infact had 4 wedding parties book the apt as they have been married in Gibraltar and we are so close. Golfing was a big draw for us also and we are surrounded by great golf courses.

What makes this apartment unique

The property is often re booked by the same customers as people love it so much and often inform us that the photos don't really reflect how large it is and what a bonus having a bathroom for each of the three bedrooms and a guest toilet! Also the view is stunning with the property being set over two floors facing the golf course instead of another apt complex, which is important for those candle lit evenings spent on the balcony with a glass of wine or two. Also our apt is set just further enough back from the marina to be able to enjoy total peace and quite. As for security, it is top notch as it is a gated community with a security guard on patrol all evening, so no problem if you forget your key. All sunbeds are free round the pool, very comfortable, all in all a lovely place to stay.

Notes on accommodation: The views from the balcony are spectacular, overlooking the golf course, there are 6 chairs, two of which recline, table plus sun parasol on the balcony for your use and a clothes dryer. On the first floor in the master bedroom there are patio doors as well leading on to a Juliet balcony. Outside: There are 2 pools one being separate for children, all set in tropical gardens. Sun loungers are set around the pools for your use and showers and toilets are located by the pool. The whole complex is secured by electric gates and a night patrol is present all night, he has a small office at the entrance. This area of spain is extremely safe and crime free. You will be given a remote control to access the gates during your stay. The gate can also be accessed via putting in a code. Utility Room: No utility room, but a washing airer is supplied on balcony, mops and buckets and brushes are also supplied. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All towels and linen are included, if staying for 2 weeks or more a mid week clean and change is available for a small fee paid direct to my agent, as this is a self catering apt washing machine, iron etc is supplied. Other: The dining area is incorporated in the lounge, 6 dining chairs and large table, which even extends to seat 8-10 (more chairs on balcony). Free WiFi can be used around pool area and on balcony and also now inside apt

Great apartment

Had a lovely stay. The apartment is spacious, clean, well equipped and in a great location close to the harbour. The pool and garden areas are well maintained plenty of sun beds and doesn't feel crowded.

Would definitely stay again.

Superb apartment, perfect location

We have rented this apartment many times over the years and it never lets us down. The apartment is in a perfect location to walk, with a push chair (which is very rare), to the beautiful marina, which has an adundance of fabulous restaurants, who cater for children really well.

We were a little adventurous this time and tried a wine tasting tour, in Manilva, which was fantastic and highly recommended, only a 5-10 minute drive away.

We also ventured to sabanillas, which is a stunning 15-20 minute walk along the sea front promanarde, and has a great variety of slightly cheaper restaurants - we loved Marengo, a more traditional tapas restaurant.

Overall, a fantastic holiday, superb apartment with a great pool, and delicious food. What more could you ask for?

Lovely apartment in an ideal location.

We had a really enjoyable time in Michaela's apartment in Dequesa. The apartment was lovely, bright and airy and so close to the marina and restaurants which was an absolute bonus! It has a lovely big balcony which we used for the evening to have a glass of wine which overlooks the swimming pool and golf. Thank you Michaela for a lovely stay!

Lovely spacious apartment in a great location.

Great views over the golf course and very well situated for the sea front and marina with its cafes and bars just a few minutes walk away. We were here in February so the weather was very mixed and on a couple of days we needed the air con on heat. I found that I could not use this function, but a swift reply to my email to Michaela soon remedied this. The area was busier than I expected at this time of year which was a bonus and added to the atmosphere in the restaurants in the evenings. We had 'takeaways' on a couple of rainy evenings and enjoyed watching English TV and a film, not for everyone, but it suited us due to our elderly relatives and the weather. Overall a great stay, thank you Michaela.

Car: not necessary


The nearest beach is 3 min walk away and is very safe for children, there are sun loungers for hire, beach bars serving excellent fish etc and pedalos etc for hire. This beach is beautifully kept with golden sand which stretchs far and wide.


Car hire is recommended as there is so much to see in the area. Nearest airport is Malaga and it takes roughly 50 mins to drive to the apt. Gibraltar airport is closer about 30 mins away but the flights aren’t always available. Worth a look though! Other airports used have been Jerez. Flights and taxi transfers can be arranged for you.


Sabinillas, Spanish town is a short stroll away. Casares is worth a trip a historic white village, photographer’s paradise! 5 min drive away. Prado world 10 min drive away great for kid’s mini golf, roller skating water pools. Selwo National Park 20 min drive away, nature park fantastic! Ronda an hour 20 min drive away in the mountains visit rondas spectacular gorge and famous bullring. Parque Acuatos Mijas 30 min drive away huge water park for all the family.

Further Details:

In the marina are bars and restaurants from all nationalities, Indian, Chinese, Italian, French, Mexican American they are all here, and don’t forget if you dine out at night no need to drive as its all within walking distance! Also located in the marina is a bank, supermarket, internet cafe, newsagent etc. You can also take boat trips from here or go diving.

Booking Notes:
Booking procedures; 20% payable at time of booking. Balance to be paid 6 weeks before departure. £150 refundable deposit taken with final balance against breakages, will be sent back to you upon your return home. A £200 deposit will need to be paid for two weeks or more. Arrival time in, is 3pm and departure time is 11am on day of departure unless prior arrangement for late checkout has been arranged and available. ( Not in July & August)

Changeover day flexible. Day of arrival after 3pm. Day of departure by 10.30am. Maybe flexible if no one is directly in after rental date.

Prices are for the property in UK Pounds. Special discounts for long winter lets, or stays of 3 weeks or more. Cot and highchair are available. All dates booked in July&August must start and end on a weekend date (Fri/Sat/Sun) also only booked out by the week during this time.
