Apartment in Samoens, French Alps - Ski Bus Stop Outside, 2 Mins To Gondola - 265km of Pistes!

Les Fermes de Samoens is in the beautiful village of Samoens in the Giffre Valley. Our apartment sleeps 4 people comfortably with a south facing balcony looking at a waterfall over the River Giffre. The complex includes 2 swimming pools, jacuzzi, steam and sauna rooms. The apartment has a lounge area with leather sofa, dining table and chairs, kitchenette with 4 ring hob, small microwave oven, dishwasher and fridge. Bunk room with full size adult bunks, mezzanine giving a spacious feel with double bedroom upstairs, bathroom with shower and separate toilet. Balcony with fantastic views. Ski bus stops just outside the complex, the gondola is only a 2 min. ride (or by car with free car park). Satellite TV with free to air channels. Linen, towels and final clean included. Free Wi-fi internet access in apartment. Ski-locker on ground floor free use of our sledge! There is a small pizza hut around the corner and other restaurants, shops and cafe's/bars are within easy walking distance as are supermarkets.

About Steve Rushton

My name is Steve Rushton, I own the property along with my wife Helen and we have 2 children 19 and 14. This is our only holiday property, we use it regularly ourselves as we love Samoens in both summer and winter. We do not run our apartment as a business, merely a way to share our property whilst covering some of the costs.

Why Steve Rushton chose Flaine - Grand Massif

Samoens is ideal as it is so close to Geneva airport. We love the fact that the village is "real" and not just purpose built resort as many are. We usually drive now (its only 7-8 hours from Calais), but flights are easy to find to Geneva from most parts of the UK and Europe.

Family friendly apartment in a quiet part of Samoens

A clean and well appointed apartment a short walk from town and conveniently placed for the local ski bus.

WiFi and SKY TV where an added bonus to keep teenage children 'connected'.

On site facilities are good, the 'petit' pool does get busy but is a nice option to relax after a day on the slopes. Sauna and Hammam are available if booked in advance.

The local area is worth exploring with the local river an ideal spot for a picnic and 'messing' about by the water. We have been lucky on both of our visits to have good skiing conditions in the mountains and hot weather in the valley, the best of both worlds!

Samoens is charming and refreshingly 'undeveloped' unlike some other Alpine resorts, we look forward to our next holiday there. Thank you Steve for the use of your apartment.

Excellent location and a great apartment

A good quality and clean apartment ideal for a family of 4 with growing teenagers.

Easy walk into the village and amenities. Ski bus stops outside the complex which was perfect after a long day on the slopes ! Hope to revisit next year!

We had a great time, nice location, compact accommodation (as ski accommodation tends to be). Everything we needed was there, nice and clean, comfortable beds....

Only a short walk into the loveley town centre, ski bus stop outside or short drive to ski lift (although we prefered slightly longer drive -5 mins- to Morillon).
