Situated on the peaceful Periox hillside above Talliores the apartment is modern yet cosy. The apartment sleeps a maximum of 6. There is one main bedroom with double bed wardrobes and an ipod/iphone doc, a chambrette with 2 bunks and a sofa bed in the lounge. The apartment has 2 separate bathrooms, a spacious lounge and brand new fitted galley kitchen. The private garden and patio face south west with wonderful views of Lake Annecy.

About the Owner

Hi we are Allison and Mick Whiteley and we have two girls. We fell in love with Annecy in 2004. We purchased our apartment in 2005 and try to get out there as much as possible. We fell in love with the view from our apartment and feel it is our piece of paradise. We love swimming in the lake and walking down to Talloires. Boat trips are another favourite as well as paragliding which we had experienced.Our favourite restaurant is Bora Bora which does great burgers for the children and has a great atmosphere. The Flowers is also exceptional. In the winter we ski at La Clusaz which we love. It has plenty of routes to challenge us but also enables us to ski as a family. We hope that anyone who rents our apartment falls in love with area and enjoys it as much as we do.

Have stayed in this property for several years now and it as a home-from-home!

It has everything you need for an extremely comfortable holiday base! The views from the garden are amazing and the apartment is well situated for exploring the area. There are many activities to engage in or you can just relax!

An excellent property

this property is ideal for a winter skiing holiday. this year was the 10th year I've visited. The facilities in the apartment are excellent and the views are stunning. access to the ski resort or Annecy gives options for places to eat and things to do

Wonderful Location, Great Views

Stayed in this apartment for a number of years now. location is fantastic, close to lake and local villages. Annecy is only 15 minutes by car. in summer you can relax by the lake or go paragliding or visit the fab market in Annecy centre. We purchased a tandem paraglide for a birthday present for our son. It was a great surprise and a brilliant idea. We never tired of just sitting in the garden in the evening, enjoying a nice glass of wine and watching the paragliders overhead. We enjoyed skiing in La Clusaz during a winter trip. the slopes were appropriate for all the family and the apres ski was most enjoyable as well.

Wonderful apartment in great location

Arrived late at night so woke up next day to the views across the lake which are amazing. Property was clean tidy and well equipped. Annecy is a short drive away with many facilities. The lake was unbelievable with the clearest water I have ever seen. I would recommend staying there for a peaceful relaxing break

Location location location!

My husband and I stayed here for a week and thoroughly enjoyed our holiday. We had been in touch with the owners prior to our visit and on arrival discovered leaflets and maps with recommended places to visit. The apartment was spotlessly clean when we arrived, was obviously well maintained and was just as it had been described. The view from the lounge and master bedroom was stunning, havinga cup of tea in bed took on a whole new meaning! Because we found evening meals expensive we tended to opt for midday lunches which were both good value and good quality. There was plenty to do. Old Annecy is very pretty and we enjoyed a drive round the lake. We walked down to Talloires but the walk back was quite steep so we used our car on subsequent occasions, parking was never a problem. One wet afternoon we visited Le Chateau de Menthon st Bernard which was interesting and another time we had a delightful walk at les Gorges du Fier. We would highly recommend the apartment and area.

Location, location, location!

The view from the lounge and particularly the master bedroom was stunning, having a cup of tea in bed took on a whole new meaning! Although there was garden furniture, the weather was disappoining and we didn't spend as much time in the garden as we had hoped, although we enjoyed watching the paragliders swooping overhead - but not enough to be tempted! Because we found evening meals expensive we tended to opt for midday lunches which were both good value and quality. We would have loved a trip on the lake steamer but because it was cold we opted for a drive round the lake which we enjoyed and visited old Annecy which is very pretty. We walked down to Talloires but the walk back was quite challenging so we used the car on subsequent occasions - parking was never a problem. One wet afternoon we visited le Chateau de Menthon St. Bernard which was interesting and had a delightful walk at Les Gorges du Fier, both places within easy reach of Annecy. We certainly found plenty to do and would highly recommend both the apartment and the area.

Summer and Winter use. The apartment is fully equiped and means that your stay will be comfortable and hassle free. Having a garden means there is an area for children to play or to relax in the sunloungers.

Special interest holidays:

Paragliding. The passages du vent paragliding club has it's centre and landing site within a 5 minute walk of the apartment.

Coast/Beach:

Within a 5 minute drive the beach at Talloires is a beautiful grassy area with special access to the Lake. Diving boards and paddling pools are provided. In the alternate direction the beach at Menton St Bernard is well equipped and has a children’s playground.

Ski

Laclusaz is the nearest resort and has lots of runs for all abilites

Travel:

Geneva airport is 60 minutes away with flights all year round. In the winter Chambery is serviced by a number of low cost airlines and is only 35 minutes away. Grenoble and Lyon are 90 minutes away.

Distances:

Talloires is a 20 min steep walk or a 5 min drive. Annecy is 20 mins away by car or a 30 minutes trip by boat. There is a local bus service from Periox to Annecy.

Further Details:

Fete de Lac is always the first weekend in August. Talloires has a wonderful selection of restaurants, a number are set on the edge of the Lake with wonderful views. The nearby village of Menthon St Bernard has a number of lovely bars and restaurants. Both villages have excellent small supermarkets, boulangeries and pharmacies.
