Terracos de Benagil is in the quiet, traditional, fishing village of Benagil. It is a modern townhouse furnished by an interior designer in an unspoilt location of the Algarve. Benagil is famous for its sea caves beneath cliffs with amazing ocean views. The villa is a stone’s throw away from 2 golden sandy beaches. Beautiful cliff top walks. Golf enthusiasts can enjoy many courses: Quinta do Gramacho and Vale da Pinta, plus Silves and Alvor are all close. For fun loving families both the Slide & Splash and Aqualand water parks are also within a ten minute drive.The village of Benagil has 7 restaurants which serve locally caught seafood, all within walking distance of the villa. Carvoeiro is a 5 minute drive away with an abundance of restaurants, gift shops and bars to suit all tastes.Portimao's Praia da Rocha beaches are stunning;Vilamoura's Marina is great for nightlife;boating trips to view dolphins can be taken from Lagos, Alvor or Vilamoura. Eat al fresco on our garden terrace.The townhouse enjoys the sun from dawn to sunset.

Being a keen golfer, I found my perfect Algarve townhouse villa in Benagil - the most beautiful cliff-top location.There are a number of testing championship golf courses within 10-15 minutes drive of my property. I enjoy a very active life both in the UK and Portugal. ETT Brand Delivery opened in 1986.It services and support SME's and large plc groups. I fell in love with Portugal and it's Southern Atlantic coastline because of the wonderful all year round climate, culture, and the safe, secure infrastructure. I love how friendly the Portuguese are.

Why David Tattersall chose Carvoeiro / Lagoa region

I discovered Benagil in January 2006 after a 2 year search to find a tranquil fishing village on the Algarve. I was looking for somewhere with safe bathing beaches, uncorrupted by development and with easy access to nearby golf courses. Terracos de Benagil is a small exclusive development with its own private swimming pool in a stunning location on the top of the famous Benagil cliffs surrounded by a conservation area perfect for walks and exploring. The beaches are a favourite of local people and families, as Benagil is a very unspoilt traditional fishing village with a small number of select, affordable restaurants serving superbly cooked freshly caught fish, Portuguese dishes and great wines. There is a warm, friendly welcome in the village to all visitors.

What makes this villa unique

The views of the Atlantic, and the Algarve coastline that can be seen from the rooftop are breathtaking. A short walk will take you to either of the safe bathing beaches of Benagil or Carvalho. Properties in this select development are owned privately by fellow English or Portuguese professionals like myself who enjoy the tranquility, serenity and beauty of our surroundings. The house is decorated and furnished to a very high standard in a distinctly Mediterranean style by a talented interior designer, and is well maintained throughout the year. All equipment (including barbecue) is chosen to make your stay pleasurable. There is a good selection of games, books, TV, DVDs and CDs for your entertainment in the comfortable lounge or outside on the garden patio or the roof terrace.

David has left two full sets of Gents' golf clubs and a Ladies half-set for holidaymakers' enjoyment. Please replace all lost golf balls after playing. Bring your shoes,golf gloves and clothing to play.

Notes on accommodation: Terracos de Benagil has a private residents' swimming pool with showers and a sun terrace directly overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. There are two fantastic sandy beaches, Praia de Carvalho and Praia de Benagil only a 2 minute walk away. The property has a spacious roof terrace with relaxing recliner chairs, where you can sunbathe privately. The villa has a barbecue,6 seat garden table/chairs and patio terrace. The garden is lawned and completely enclosed with electronic entry gates making it extremely safe for young children to play. No pets allowed. Benagil is a very quiet,non-commercial village reflecting traditional Portuguese fishing and boat-building values. Explore the caves beneath the cliffs by boat.Enjoy our 5 local seafood restaurants. Many more famous restaurants nearby in Carvoeiro and Seismarias. A trip to the famous Praia da Rocha beaches in Portimao is very worthwhile as is the new, bargain shopping mall in Portimao. Outside: Guest bedroom balcony with breakfast table and 2 chairs; stunning roof terrace with sea views along coastline. Private outdoor swimming pool for all residents. Private garden with patio furniture includes table and 6 chairs, barbecue, plus 4 sun loungers on roof terrace. Parking space for one car in adjacent space. Two sun loungers are portable with shoulder straps to take to either beach. Scuba diving is popular from Carvalho beach and along Benagil cliffs. Great jogging around the cliffs and surrounding nature reserve. Very quiet. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All bathroom towels and linen provided. Cleaning and laundry service.All amenities i.e. water, gas and electric are fully included in weekly tariff. No extra charges on property rental. Internet dongle + cycles + golf clubs are extra. An excellent base for exploring and relaxing

A relaxing and extremely comfortable stay. The villa is well cared for, homely and spotless.

The owner ensured we had all the information we needed in good time and advised re car rental, food shopping, restaurants and golf in the area.

Benagil is a quiet and picturesque place to stay. The walk along the coastal path in both directions is a must as is the boat trip to see the incredible caves.

We'd return in a flash! Thank you for providing a wonderful holiday destination.

Benagil Bliss

A lovely property on a lovely development-very peaceful at this time of year-the pool on site is great and big enough to swim lengths-the pool area could do with a little updating but we were told that this was likely to happen at the end of the year! The house we rented was number 11 and internally had everything you could possibly want on a holiday- very comfortable beds, sofas and very well equipped kitchen. The area is well served with supermarkets and we discovered the lovely beaches to the west at Alvor and Meia Praia -the beaches locally have very steep access and were not for us-but if you have a car it is a truly delightful area-both on the coast and into the mountains inland.

Perfect setting for a beach holiday

The villa was spotlessly clean, very comfortable and well maintained. The shared pool was only 30 steps away and it was always easy to get a sun lounger. It was a two minute walk to the steps/slope leading down to the beautiful beach. The patio area, well-kept garden and the roof terrace provide a choice of areas to relax outdoors in a very quiet location. The air conditioning is welcome on hot days. The showers are good, always plenty of hot water and the kitchen is well-equipped. David was very helpful and accommodating when booking. Highly recommend this property for a holiday in Benagil. Lovely restaurants nearby, particularly the beach bar and Casa Lamy. Cave boat trip was fabulous. A car would be preferable to get out and about and for ease of access to the supermarkets.

Lovely property - fantastic stay

We have just returned from a month on the Iberian peninsula including a one week stay at this property. It is a lovely attached villa located at the top of beautiful cliffs in the village of Benagil. We found the villa to be exactly as described by the owner. We loved the shared pool, the nearby beaches and the tasty food at the Casa Lamy restaurant (don't be fooled by the plastic chairs and tables on the verandah - the food is fantastic and the service very good and friendly).

The owner has a local manager who was always available and very helpful.

Home from home property

We felt most at home with bright and homely furnishings and the beds were so comfortable. A bonus to have air con in the bedroom as the weather was so hot during our stay. Fabulous views all around with a roof top terrace, close to the beach and restaurants. The house had everything we could wish for.

Nearest supermarket approx 4 Km away but taxi is available if you don't have a car.

Beautiful walks along the coast path in both directions.

Note: Check the changeover time and day so that it can coincide with your arrival where possible.

Yellow Fish Taxis prompt and efficient.

Really nice property everything is as described and the villa lacks nothing.the owner david was very helpful with lots of useful info on the local area.nice development and ideal for couples or families.it would be possible to stay without a car but a car would make your holiday more enjoyable.i would recomend this property to everyone and will most definately go again

Preferred changeover is Saturday, but very flexible to save on airline charges and easier flight times. Guests met by my managers,Floris or Kim. Speak German, Dutch, Portuguese and English. Go to their office - at the side of Lote No 13 - to collect keys.
