Why Helen Hunter chose Collorec

It is a very peaceful location and easy to reach both coasts and many of the pretty towns from here. Living here we have the quietness of the countryside but also everything is within easy reach.

What makes this cottage unique

There are walks on the doorstep, we are not far from the major towns in the area. The Nantes Bres Canal is within easy reach as are the North and West Coast.

Guestbook comments from the owner

A beautiful location with so many interesting places to visit.

Had a wonderful time yet again. This is the most relaxing holiday location we have ever been to. Thanks to the carefully put together package, Jane and Russell have made this an unforgettable experience. Sue and Steve (Wilts)

We enjoyed our stay at this exceptionally well equipped cottage. It was beyond our expectations. Thank you for thinking so carefully about what would contribute to a successful holiday. Games room a great attraction for teenage boys. We hope to return and recommend to friends.

Wonderful Location, and owners!!

  • 4 of 5

This Gite is in a quiet rural location, with lovely towns not far away, there is so much to see and do in this area, we visited north to Morlaix, west to Brest and south to Quimper, we will definitely return to this region to explore further.

On day 4 of our holiday my van broke down and was taken away on a breakdown truck, the diagnosis was that a major repair was required, we were then without a vehicle for the remainder of our holiday. Jane and Russel went above and beyond the call of duty, they arranged for a mechanic friend to take a look at my van, Jane took us to the supermarket for supplies and to Morlaix to pick up and return a hire car. It would have been very stressful without all their help, Thank you Jane and Russell.

Comfy little cottage

  • 5 of 5

I am writing this review to help you decide if this cottage is for you, but before that, you should be aware that the owners go out of their way to be helpful, without being too visible. Now then, the cottage - is perfect for two, has twin beds, a small kitchen and dining area in the single ground floor room, comfortable seating and a lovely wood-burner if needed. The village is centrally located in the Finistere region enabling trips to all points, with shopping not more than ten minutes distant. We visited in June and didn't use the lovely pool, but definitely sampled the local wine and beers on the sunny terrace! Hardier souls enjoyed the pool..... What more is there to say except that we would definitely consider returning for a comfortable stay with helpful, friendly hosts.

Perfect Countryside Break

  • 5 of 5

I enjoyed a lovely peaceful break in the fantastic setting of these gites.

The gites were well equipped with everything needed aswell as being very well maintained and clean. They match perfectly with the rural area.

The setting is the beautiful french countryside but within easy reach of many tourist towns & attractions.

We have recommended the gites to anyone who will listen.

Jane & Russell were perfect self catering hosts, about in the back ground should we have a question but left us to it any other time. So thank you again for a fabulous stay in your beautiful gites in an amazing part of France.
