Spacious apartment situated in one of the best locations in Fuengirola, just 200m walk to beach with an 8km flat promenade on your door step where you will find plenty of beach bars. Fibre optic Internet at the apartment and internet TV with UK channels, SKY, 17 sports channels and more! Keep in touch with friends and family back home and enjoy your favourite soap operas! There is a 1600 square metres park within 1 min walk with a children's playground featuring a giant galleon, perfect to keep them entertained while you sit, watch and relax at the onsite café/snack bar! There is also a dedicated area for skating, skateboarding, playing football, petanque pitch and biohealth gym equipment for adults.

The apartment is on 1st floor, 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms with lift. It is well equipped and continuously maintained to ensure your comfort. Modern high speed remote control ceiling fans in all bedrooms plus 2 ceiling fans in the lounge. Fully fitted kitchen with dishwasher, latest Nespresso capsule coffee machine George Clooney style. Leather sofas, dining tables and chairs inside and outside. Sliding patio doors lead from the lounge area to the large open private south facing terrace with dining table and chairs, and a cafe style table and chairs. Two of the bedrooms lead on to the terrace as well. The rear bedrooms have sound proof security glass windows. Flat screen TV, DVD and IPOD docking station plus stereo system.

The complex has a tennis court open all year round, a large pool & children’s pool open in the summer season from mid June to mid September surrounded by well kept gardens and an on site lifeguard. The apartment does not overlook the swimming pool so you don't need to worry about noise.

To the rear of the apartment there is private parking and the tennis court. There are also communal gardens to the rear of the apartment block which you can enjoy.

There are plenty of other facilities: 10 mins walk to a fantastic 19 Hole Adventure Golf with restaurant, the Castle, Miramar Shopping Centre and Cinema complex, the Zoo and Aqua Park. Plenty of supermarkets, shops, bars, restaurants, banks nearby.

Great for Family, Golfers and Groups of friends. No car needed, it's all on your doorstep.

"We booked this apartment as we are six golfers who require plenty of space. We found the apartment to be perfect for our needs. There is plenty of storage room in all the bedrooms. The lounge and balcony area easily accommodated our needs. The kitchen is well equipped and has everything you need to cook for six hungry men. The apartment is only 5 minutes from the see front and there are plenty of bars along the front. The main cost road is 60 seconds away and gives you access to the whole of the Costa del Sol and all its magnificent golf courses. Overall we had an excellent stay and have booked again for 2009. Melanie the owner is extremely helpful and her communications are quick and responsive to your needs. Recommended for golf parties."

Great location

Just returned from a week's stay at the apartment. We are a group of 4 ladies who frequently travel to Fuengirola but this is the first time at this apartment. We know the area well; close to the beach and a pleasant stroll into town just what we were looking for. The apartment itself was very well equipped although with plenty of restaurants around we didn't avail ourselves of all the facilities. Melanie couldn't have done more to help with the booking even down to sending details of a taxi company who met us and took us straight to the apartment. Hope to visit again next Spring

Well equipped luxury!

Having stayed in the resort for several years we already knew the general location of the property. It is close to the beach and only a few minutes from a supermarket, with the large Myramar shopping complex about 10 to 15 minutes walk.

You can go straight along the road to the town centre or walk along the esplanade, with lots of cafes and restaurants to choose from.

Both the beds and seats are all very comfortable, so much so that our family group agreed it was the most comfortable holiday occommodation we have ever had.

The owner was quick to provide a response to a query during our stay, although the information pack in the apartment is extremely comprehensive and should avoid the need to contact them.

The wifi worked well throughout the apartment, which is not always the case elsewhere, and the Internet TV provided plenty of choice when the stormy weather (unusual for this location) meant it was best staying in.

This property will be top of our list when considering returning to this area!

Super Apartment/Location

I would give this apartment 5 Stars. I have used this accommodation on numerous occasions as base for golfing holidays along with 3 of my friends. It perfectly situated with plenty of restaurants, supermarkets and all types of shops within a few mins. walk. The town centre is an easy 20min stroll or there is a local bus service. The town has numerous shops/restaurants bars. The apartment is only a few mins. walk to the seafront with one of the best promenades in the Costa Del Sol. It is least 4km long and is a very easy walk from one end to other. with plenty of restaurants/ bars/ cafe/ shops. The apartment is a perfect base for family holidays with or without a car. The train station is short taxi ride which has regular trains to and from the airport and also into Malaga City. You DO NOT Require a car. If you do have car there is plenty of free on street parking adjacent to the apartment.

The apartment is fully equipped in fact is is like home from home but this home has the potential of sunshine nearly every day of the year. In my opinion you will go a long way to find better. It is a perfect base for a family holiday or a golfing holiday with numerous golf courses within 60mins drive some within a few mins.

Very Noisy

Visited this apartment on 9 October 2014. What the owner fails to mention is the extreme noise from traffic - the apartment is very near to one of the busiest roads I have ever encountered in Spain - it was like being in New York at times!!! It is also opposite a primary school and the noise the children made at playtime was deafening to say the least. The terrace only got the sun for a few hours a day when we went - it may be south facing but is not very sunny!

It is a good job the rooms all have fans as it would be far too noisy to sleep with the windows open. Apartment itself was ok - all the channels on the TV worked which was a bonus.

If you want to sit on your terrace having a quiet drink listening to the sound of the sea and birds chirping then to not go here!!

Owner's Response: I wasn't expecting this review, especially given all the other extremely positive reviews written by previous guests. I have subsequently spoken to the guest who booked the apartment and he was shocked that his daughter had written such an unconstructive review without his permission or knowledge. I maintained contact with the guest during his stay and all was positive. The week in question was the feria (fair) week so serious party celebrations, and it did rain so not sunny all the time. I can assure any other guests that the road outside is not as described in the review and it definitely is not one of the busiest. I would never describe Fuengirola as a quiet place given the excellent access to facilities, which is why this area is so popular as everything is there for you and car hire is not necessary. The school finishes at 14:00h and the 30 min break is at 12:00h and I think others would have complained if the noise was deafening from the playground opposite, which I do not believe it is. All I can urge guests to do is read the previous reviews. The guests beforehand actually stated that the apartment was exactly as described on the advertising. I have more positive reviews elsewhere too. I'm always available for guests to contact me during their stay if they are not happy with anything or need assistance. There is internet access at the apartment so plenty of opportunities to communicate with me. Leaving it until over a month after the holiday to air dissatisfaction on a review is not ideal as I cannot do anything to help or rectify the situation. All I want is for my guests to be happy and have a great holiday! Fuengirola is really ideal for those looking for somewhere a bit more lively and plenty of entertainment for the kids and adults alike.

Perfect apartment for a family holiday

Rented the apartment for a family holiday to celebrate my sons special birthday (6 adults, a 3 year old and a 4 month baby).

The apartment was exactly as the description provided by Melanie and was in a good location in Fuengirola, close to the large shopping centre, supermarket and the beach within 5 minutes walk. Don't miss the delicious cake shop on the way to the beach, the cakes there are absolutely superb.

The apartment itself is on the first floor and has all the amenities you need, including a new smart TV, dishwasher, washing machine etc.

Although there are restaurants quite near to the apartment, we found that the better ones were to be found in the centre of town, just a pleasant 15 - 20 minute stroll along the sea front. Here you can also find buses and trains to all the areas around Fuengirola.

The only disappointment of the holiday, was finding that the swimming pool closed for the winter very early in our stay.

Overall I would recommend this apartment to any families who are thinking of holidaying in Fuengirola, I look forward to returning in the future.

It was great having you and your family to stay and I do hope you will return again. It is a shame that the community pool only opens mid June to mid September. I do mention this in a couple of places on the advert and I confirmed this during the booking stage but there is nothing I can do to get the community to open it later...I think they consider it to be too cold! Luckily the beach is just a stroll away!

first time visit to fuengirola

We, a family of 6, 2 in40s, 2 in 60s, boys 4 years and 5 months stayed in this splendid apartment for over 3 weeks Christmas/New Year 2013/14. From first contact Melanie was completely open and informative about any question. If you had any problem she was available on her mobile after arrival. Outstanding customer service. The apartment is fully equipped with all you could possibly need for your stay With an abundance of quality crockery, glassware, cutlery. Terrace is very large, safe for children (walled) and very private. Secure with control of entry and a very solid door to the apartment itself. We ate in a certain amount and everything workrd perfectly.

Location could not be bettered. Within 200 yds you had medical, dental, Vets hospital, many restaurants/cafes, excellent supermarket even a cobblers if you had the urge to repair your shoes. Splendid top notch play park stones throw away. Beach 3 mins walk. 20 out of 23 days English summer temperatures from about 1030 until 1700. Cooler in mornings and evenings but still up to 13 degrees. It was a bonus to discover that Fuengirola was more Spanish than you might expect and very well maintained with cleaning teams working even on christmas/new years day. We split up at various times and visited Mijas, Benalmadena, Malaga, Gibraltar all worth a visit especially Malaga, beautiful Spanish city with one of the worlds best displays of lights at Christmas plus lots of street theatre. Gibraltar interesting because of history.

Grandson loved playpark for many hours every day , beach remainder. He made friends with Russian, Spanish, Swedish, Australian, Finnish and English Children at various times. We walked the promenade for miles each day, views beautiful. We found everyone we met very friendly. If you are there in new year 3 Kings parade a must and 4 year old nearly had a seizure with excitement. Wherever we went we were always happy to return to Fuengirola to the Prom, fabulous beach and our most comfortable apartment.

Finally, Melanie`s recommendation for a transfer if you need one was perfect. Looking at the number of cafes, restaurants, shops etc in Fuengirola the town must have as high a number of such outlets in proportion to population as anywhere in the world. 10 out of 10 for location, locality, facilities, convenience and quality.

Coast/Beach:

The walk to one of the largest and most popular sandy beaches, Santa Amalia Playa, is less than 5 mins walk where sunbeds and umbrellas can be hired. The beach & promendade stretches all the way along to the Port and beyond, approx 8kms. The port is approximately 15 mins walk along the promenade. There are restaurants on the beach front & on the opposite side of the road it is lined with bars, restaurants and shops. Fuengirola sea front is a favourite place for tourists and local families alike.

Travel:

Car hire is not necessary as all amenties are easily accessible and public transport is really good and cheap. The nearest airport is Malaga, 35 minutes drive and we can recommend a licensed taxi for you to pre-book. The train from Malaga airport goes to Fuengirola. There is also a bus station in Fuengirola where you can go to Marbella, Puerto Banus and any of the other neighbouring resorts. There are plenty of travel agents in Fuengirola where you can book excursions to Gibraltar.

Distances:

The historic Solhail Castle is 10 mins walk. The Aqua Park and biggest Zoo on the Costa del Sol is only a 10 minute walk from the apartment just before the Bullring. Only 2kms away is the Costa del Sol, Mijas, Racecourse which is great evening entertainment with bars/restaurants. Marbella is 30km west of Fuengirola with Puerto Banus just beyond. Mijas Pueblo is 15 mins drive. Tivoli Amusement Park is at nearby Arroyo de la Miel which is great entertainment plus the Sealife centre in Benalmadena.

Further Details:

A cafeteria is next door to the apartment block. A large shopping centre is approx 10 mins walk and has a large hypermarket (Eroski) as well as plenty of other shops. It also has a cinema that shows English films. The nearest supermarket is within a 5 minute walk and has a wide selection of UK and local products. The nearest bank is approx 5 mins walk. A big street market is on every Sunday and is 2 minutes walk across the road. The Port and Marina is between 10-15 minutes walk and offers cruises to see dolphins, water sports, scuba diving and sea fishing. There is also a Sports Centre with a heated indoor pool approx 30 mins walk from the apartment. The nearest bar/restaurant is about a 2 minute walk. The Moorish Solhail Castle is just 10 minutes walk away and is the centre of the International Music and Dance Festival in July and other performances in August. A Medieval Market and summer night festivals are also held there. Every year from 6th October to 12th October there is the 'Romería' which is the great Fuengirola Fair where you can see flamenco, horse drawn carriages, singing and dancing in traditional Spanish costumes during the day and in the evening until dusk at the Fairground where they have "casetas" themed bars/restaurants representing every country with music, dancing etc, and of course there are the usual fair ride attractions. Normally bulls are run along the streets before the opening of the Fair (Feria). One of the biggest Fairs on the Costa del Sol is held mid August in Málaga which is equally fantastic but just on a larger scale. Finally, the Zoo just a 10 minute walk away is one of the biggest on the Costa del Sol and definitely worth a visit. It has a "moonlight" visit staying open until 1:00 am in July and August and a themed restaurant, a large play area for kids plus a miniature farm. The jungle area is definitely worth seeing.

  • Notes on accommodation: This apartment is continuously updated and well maintained every year to ensure your stay is comfortable. We now have internet TV and internet. Suitable for families, golfers, groups of friends alike. The pool is only open mid June until mid September and the apartment does not overlook the pool - it is about a 1 minute walk away so no pool noise! There is a CD/radio, stereo, DVD, video player, tennis rackets, badminton rackets, bat and ball for the beach, beach umbrellas, books, DVDs, CDs, backgammon, playing cards, chess, poker set. Private parking to the rear of the apartment block plus plenty of off-road parking to the front. There are 2 hairdryers, gas heater, electric heaters for the winter months. High speed remote control ceiling fans in every bedroom plus 2 ceiling fans in the lounge to keep you cool in the summer heat. One of the single beds in the twin room with the terrace slides underneath the other bed so more space if less than 8 guests. Outside: The large south facing terrace provides lots of additional space for relaxing and has a dining table, chairs with cushions & parasol plus a cafe style coffee table and 2 chairs. Intercom system to access the apartment block. The apartment does not overlook the communal pool area, open approx 15 June - 15 September, so no noise. It is manned by an official lifeguard. Private parking is available & there is a special 'zapper' to open the gates. There's also good off road parking in front of the apartment. A fantastic Park, Parque de Poniente, is adjacent to the apartment with swings, play areas, a pirate ship, gym/exercise equipment, benches & an open air café/restaurant bar. In addition to internet at the apartment there are telephone facilities close by. There is a cafe bar next door where you can have a drink and a snack. Utility Room: Washing machine and 2 x opening and closing wall mounted airers to dry washing on the terrace plus a shopping trolley for the supermarket (no bags required!).
