About the property

Discover a ‘Home from Home’ You’ll Love To Relax In. Hot tub and Sauna in Garden.

Non smoking residence. Beautiful, modern 2 bed bungalow with 100 foot mooring, on the banks of the River Thames. Hot Tub, Sauna, Wi-Fi. 4 miles to Lego-land, Windsor and Eton, 5 miles Thorpe Park, London Eye and Westminster 45 mins by car (18 miles).

Hot tub and Sauna in garden.

Large Bedroom with King size bed, sleeps 2 adults.

Smaller 2nd bedroom has a sofabed that sleeps 2, (it's a 4'6" wide sofabed), similar to a small double bed, suitable for children.

There is also a sofabed in the lounge sleeps 2, ( again this folds out to be 4'6" wide).

Ideally, for a really good holiday, the house sleeps 4 comfortably. If you are going to be using it mainly as a base to travel and visit tourist hot spots, then 6 might be okay. But if you bring 6 massive suitcases and you have the sofabeds folded out, you're going to be tripping over each other, and strangulations may occur.

This is suited to Mum, Dad and 4 children.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We had a wonderful time! The weather was beautiful and the bungalows location and facilities made our holiday one to remember. Our 6 year old son particularly enjoyed playing the piano and followed the learning manual in the piano stool to learn to play, (with some accomplishment), 'Ode to Joy'. It was a pleasure to listen to. My husband plays well and listening to him play whilst I sat in the hot tub with a glass of wine watching the river was idyllic. Kind regards, Catherine Cable.

What a pity! A fantastic week comes to it's end. Everything was perfect: bungalow, wildlife, weather. That was quite an experience living a few days of our life on the riverside of Father Thames. We'll never forget this wonderful time! Robert and Barbara Koch. Augsberg.

So nice to be back, another lovely break in a lovely place, we had a great day at Royal Ascot (and we had a winner!). The Hot tub was a welcome place after a day at the races. We'll be back in October, the Thain family. Granite City.

Brilliant, quirky and homely. They have everything, from a whole array of shampoos to a cupboard full of pasta, herbs and random tins :) Don’t expect top notch quality pristine furniture, rather it’s lived in, homely and loved. It is full of quirky little things, like a toy mouse in an oversized matchbox next to your bed to a stargazing telescope in the living room. The place is brilliant located right on the river, comfy seats to sit and have your breakfast in, and a cute little garden pod for late night dinners. No one but horses on the other side of the river so completely private. There is a BBQ as well. The place is located right next to the train track so except trains to go past (you won’t see them, but you will hear them), and the flight path is straight above you - this is no bother if you expect it. Right on the other side of the train track there is a lake, search "Liquid leisure" and you'll see what that’s all about. The wakeboarding is a bit hard for a beginner, but keep at it, you might be good enough to set off, and if you do its absolutely brilliant. There is also a huge float where you can have a whole lot of fun with the kids... walk back and relax in the hot tub. There is a small village not far where they have a butcher a few shops so you can get your fire/coal/steak or there is a pub nearby (we didn’t go, but it was jam-packed on the Saturday, so must be a decent place).

We will defiantly be back.

Legoland break for 6!! :)

  • 4 of 5

We loved it was brilliant for our short break to Legoland. Great for us adults to relax after the kids have gone to bed in the hot tub. The only problem we had was the breakables we had to move them all so the kids didn’t touch them lol!! But had everything we needed and sids beds weren’t as bad as we were thinking haha! Would definitely stay again! Might see you next year :) this break meant a lot to us as two of our children are autistic was really please with how easy it has been the fact you had good tele and WiFi won the kids over!!! Thanks again.

Wonderful and very comfortable

  • 5 of 5

This property has it all. The setting on the banks of the River Thames to the accommodation has to be experienced to fully appreciate all what the cottage has to offer. As you go through the gates you are welcomed by 2 different coloured sheep statues and a gorilla statue, wow. The pod, sauna and hot tub in the garden overlooking the river is a joy to relax in after being out and about all day. The plants and furniture in the garden are lovely and bring a wonderful ambience to it. A couple of reviews state that they are some weeds in the patio area, for goodness sake it's a garden, show me a garden without any weeds and I will buy a 'Steps' album. Inside the cottage is a wonderful home for all to enjoy. As my partner put it, every room is a work of art, it's a home that has been put together through years of love and with amazing music memorabilia of Andy Ellison ( one of the property owners) his wife Sharon, although we have only been in contact via email or messaging could not have made us feel more welcome than if she had been there to welcome us there on our arrival. My family and me just loved, loved, loved this cottage and we most certainly are going to return. Sharon and Andy you have an amazing home thank you for sharing it with us.

Super little place.

  • 5 of 5

Me and my wife stayed here to 2 nights at a mini honeymoon. Prior to our stay we had very quick communication with Sharon and we managed to get it all sorted. She was always on hand to answer any questions.

We had a really comfortable and enjoyable stay. The place is pretty quirky and in an unusual location. We were not put off by the trains or planes. Personally I liked watching the planes going over. I would say it's more suited to adults looking a private getaway. The hot tub and sauna are what this place is about and both got used during our stay. Lots of information on the local area and the key to liquid leisure was a nice bonus and we enjoyed having a nosey around. We would definitely stay again! Thanks again Sharon and Andy.
