Situated in the prestigious area of Parque Da Praia, this very well furnished and equipped villa has an attractive pool and garden, shared with 3 similar villas. Casa Sirrah offers first class accommodation in a delightful location, so close to the beach, all the amenities of Luz and to the striking Black Rock area overlooking the sea. Very close to restaurants, bars and local supermarkets. No need to drive. Free WiFi is available throughout the house. NEW for 2014 : You will have heard that all the English TV channels through the Astra satellite were lost when it was switched off. Not for us! At vast expense we have installed IPTV which works through the internet and gives you everything and more that you would have got at home. Please note that we do not allow pets or animals of any description at this property.

About the Owner

The Scandrett family consist of Nigel and Jackie with children John (22) and Stuart (18). We have visited the Algarve and Spain on numerous occasions for family and golf holidays. The climate is the key. Much warmer than the South of France and guaranteed sunshine most of the year. We have a high standard of living in the UK and were looking for something with a 'wow' factor that ticked most of the boxes similar to what we enjoy in the UK, albeit smaller. In 'Casa Poco Loco' (Spain - Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence 2014) and 'Casa Sirrah' (Algarve) we found it. Locations so close to the beach and the nearby proximity of golf, supermarkets, shops, restaurants and bars were key factors. Not typical rental properties. Everything designed to the highest standard - yours to enjoy!

July - 'We had a lovely time, the location was spot on and your villa was just perfect from the toys for the boys, the pool, right through to the quality and layout of the furniture and fittings. It is more like a home than normal holiday accommodation. You must be very proud of your property, we felt privileged that we were able to enjoy it.'



Sept - Superb villa and fantastic location. Very baby friendly with the stair gate(at top of stairs).Very clean and all your home comforts for a relaxing stay.



June - A wonderfully equipped villa with absolutely everything you could need.



June - No better place to chill out. The villa has everything you could possibly need. you could not meet nicer people than the people of Luz.



Sept - We thought the villa was the best location in Luz, so close to the beach but in a quiet area. We all loved the garden and the pool and our 16 month old daughter the toys. Villa is great - everything here to feel at home.

From the moment we arrived at Casa Sirrah, it felt like home. The pool and gardens are perfect. Better still is the location. Would certainly stay in Casa Sirrah again.

Golf Trip

Just spent a perfect few days golf break with friends in Praia da Luz .Accomodation ,restaurants and amenities in the location were all first class. Just a pity that the excellent local golf courses beat me up ...as usual!!

Owner's Response: Delighted that this group of 4 golfers enjoyed the house and the surrounding area so much. Not having to drive to any of the bars & restaurants by the beach and within the village is a great plus. Three golf courses within a 15 minute drive makes the location perfect for short breaks.

Hidden Gem

Beautiful well equipped villa a stones throw from the beach and walking distance to numerous very good restaurants.

Tucked away just yards from the beach this villa is in a small gated development which is very quiet and very peaceful, the patio which seems bigger than the others has the sun on it all day and its so relaxing to just lie on a sun bed and soak up the rays (even in March), the villa is well equipped, light and airy with 3 en suite bedrooms a decent sized dining table and a comfortable lounge, and of course its location is perfect for access to numerous golf courses in the area which we took full advantage of, definitely worth a visit.

Location

From the Owner

How can you beat being just 100 metres from one of the best beaches in the Algarve. A large pool shared with just 3 other properties. Secure gated location. No need to drive to access a range of a great range of bars, restaurants and supermarkets. Only 5 mins drive from the fascinating town of Lagos with marina walks amid a mix of the traditional cobbled streets and modern quality shops. Much better value than the Faro end of the Algarve - more unspoilt.

Nearest Airport : Faro at 90 Kilometres Nearest Barpub : at 0.2 Kilometres Nearest Golf : Boa Vista at 4 Kilometres Nearest Motorway : at 2 Kilometres Nearest Restaurant : at 0.2 Kilometres Nearest Beach : at 0.1 Kilometres Car: recommended

Coast/Beach:

1 min walk along quiet lane to Praia da Luz beach, overlooked by the dramatic cliffs of Black Rock, and Luz village. Many other beaches close by. Burgau, quite stunning, 10 mins drive and Meia Praia (9km long) 15 mins drive are worthy of mention. Don't miss the most western point of Europe, Cape Vincent and its lighthouse. Don't wear a hat! Just a trifle windy.

Travel:

Faro airport, served by many low cost airlines, is around 55 mins drive. Car hire is incredibly reasonable and there are plenty of companies to choose from. See our 'Notes' for one particular recommendation. There is also a 90 min train ride from Faro to Lagos, then just a very short cab ride, so you don't have to have a car, but it helps!

Distances:

Lagos a fascinating small town with good shops and restaurants and a very attractive marina 10 min drive. Silves, an inland historic town with ancient castle 25 mins. Sagres at the western end of the Algarve, an old natural harbour 20 mins. Alvor, an old fishing village, with an attractive waterfront 15 mins. Many other small villages and attractions.

Further Details:

There are many cafes and restaurants in Luz, mostly within 10 - 15 mins walk, as well as supermarkets, a pharmacy, a bank, doctor, dentist and other shops. Tennis courts are close by. Lagos offers all these and much more!

Casa Sirrah is a privately owned family villa used by the owners, their family and friends for holidays, as well as for letting at the rentals indicated. It is professionally managed by a good local agent who is always on hand should any emergency occur. In the property there are instruction booklets for appliances.

50% deposit non refundable) required. Balance payable 6 weeks before date of holiday. Generally we do not ask for a deposit and rely on honesty. If you suffer a breakage or any accidental damage let us know and we will charge it at cost. Our maid will go through the property after handover to check against the inventory. At our discretion we do reserve the right to charge a £500 deposit.

Changeover Day:
No particular day. Our availability chart is always up to date. We will do our best to fit in with you but must watch against too many voids. If we accept less than a 7 day period we may increase the pro rata rate to cover the additional cleaning costs.

Notes on prices:
If days/weeks overlap we normally just charge in pro. For short notice deals just try us - rather have it enjoyed than empty!

  • Notes on accommodation: Gas fire, additional heaters if required (energy use at cost in winter months). Electric fans available. Additional beds and cots etc can be provided by arrangement. Access to pool and garden is direct from lounge. Safety equipment installed - fire extinguisher, smoke alarm and carbon monoxide alarm. This villa is accredited by the local Tourism authority which guarantees that it is of a high standard and has all necessary safety euipment. It faces the sun for most of the day but as it is slightly set back stays pleasantly cool. Outside: Swimming pool, shared with 3 similar villas (when they are there), is approx 5x8m. Garden furniture - table and chairs, sun loungers with mattresses on patio. Ample private car parking. Open view beyond pool and garden towards the dramatic Black Rock area. New electrically operated (remote control or keypad) security gates were installed in 2008, which further enhance the privacy and security of the car park area and the villa. Small rear garden. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Weekly maid service. Linen and towels changed once a week. Other: Hallway with cupboard & hooks for coats. Noticeboard with cards left from clients with suggestions for the best restaurants and attractions. Plenty of books for holiday reading! Please add to our library.
