It was an excellent accommodation with all the facilities and comforts in the town house and very neat and clean. Very good caretaking by Len and Hazel who were ready to help in many ways. I would give them 5 marks out of 5 plus one!

The property covered everything I asked for

The people who look after the property collected us from the airport & took us straight to the house. It is a nice property, well maintained & clean & was as advertised.The owners provided excellent service before leaving & Len who looks after the house likewise whilst we were there. I was seeking somewhere that was close a supermarket, bars & beach & as I enjoy walking the property met all our needs. There are some free bikes to use if required. The house is close to a nice park & there are a couple of bars, restaurants & a supermarket very close by. The beach is about a mile away but is an easy walk down a straight flat road.

Overall I enjoyed my stay as it met all my expectations.

Excellent house,lovely views from roof terrace,

Lovely house, had everything you needed. Plenty of space for 6 people (2 adults, 4 kids). The pool was just opposite the house and was a good size and provided relief from the heat. The bikes at the house are useful to have,basic but ok, we hired extra from Len and the supermarket is 15 minute walk from the house or less on the bike. The beaches are not far and were nice.

The house provided a good base and was perfect for our needs. Would recommend and likely to use again.

Lovely Property

What a lovely property. Having stayed in this area for over 10 years now I believe this property is as good as any other we have stayed locally. As other reviews say - good location, easy access to many things and a car not necessary but does help. My daughter and I loved the bikes which are in perfectly reasonable working condition and free! We cycled on quite a few days travelling some distance. All in all very good value for money and the welcome pack from Len was another added bonus. I will certainly be returning if I get the opportunity as the weather here is always fantastic. Highly recommended.

Lovely Property

What a lovely property. Having stayed in this area for over 10 years now I believe this property is as good as any other we have stayed locally. Spacious, clean and quiet

As we have visited this area before, we knew this house would be in a good position for our needs as we came to purchase a holiday home of our own, hence visiting 'out of season'.

This area is easy to access from the motorway and airport. Parking in the road easy.

Len who is the key holder met us with an informative tour of the house and welcome food pack which was a lovely touch.

Bar Amigos just around the corner was so handy for us as we were so busy in the days with viewings so was convenient in the evenings. Good food though and if you like football even better with free wifi!

The roof solarium was lovely to chill in the sun, but we found the house cold. We appreciated The evenings would be cold at present, but if a house is available for rental out of season, heating should be available. I emailed the owners who stated there were 2 heaters in house, which there wasn't. Len provided 1 heater after this email communication.

All other facilities, we had no issue with. We used the bikes one day and cycled around the loop down to marina, walked along the beach and cycled back up to the windmill past the mud baths. Yes as stated in previous reviews the bikes are basic but we managed and of course are free!

For anyone considering renting this house in season, please come. Even though a car is not essential, it enhances the visit because there are so many places to explore.

It is a long walk to the mar menor beach but a bike ride makes it easier. It is a quiet area here but there are a few other restaurants around but down in Lo Pagan a handful of restaurants were open.

When we came in Sept it was still quiet but evenings were warm so we didn't mind strolling.

This house is ideal for families as not crowded.

Lovely holiday

We were very pleased with both the property and location. It was a 20 min walk to the beach in one direction, with a further 15 min walk on to Santiago de la Ribera. The town was also a 20 min walk. We only had 2 sunny days, but still had a wonderful time. Len provided us with a couple of bikes that were quite adequate, then we hired more comfortable bikes from Alquiler De Bicicletas (at the beach, 12 euro per day), as we wanted to cycle further afield. The area is so flat we could get about very easily both up and down the coast.

The property is in an ideal location, very clean and well maintained, with comfortable beds. The property does not have a safe, but we felt very secure as the windows all lock and have grills.

We went to the local bar, just around the corner, on many evenings. There is a pool table and a quiz on Friday nights, and the food was excellent. The owner, Marie Carmen, was absolutely lovely and helped me with my Spanish.

We would recommend this property.

San Pedro is famous for its open air sea mud and clay bathing with reputed theraputic properties.

Coast/Beach:

The area is flat with considerable provision made for cyclists.

The Mar Menor is a large salt water sea separated from the Med. by a small strip of land. Its waters are relatively shallow and consequently warm and suitable for water sports. Its beaches are sandy and ideal for children.

Travel:

There are 2 nearby airports, both served by low-cost airlines and both within easy motorway travel of the house. Murcia (San Javier) 10 minutes and Alicante 50 minutes.

Car hire is not essential as a car pick-up can be arranged for a fee but it is a good idea to enable exploration of the area with its many beaches.

Distances:

Within easy motorway travel of Torrevieja (20 mins), Murcia town (50 mins) and Cartegena (30 mins).

Further Details:

The World Health Organisation has classed the area as the healthiest in which to live in Europe with 320 days of sunshine per year.
