Peaceful Spot in the Hills of ProvenceThis quaint old stone built Provencal village home retains its original character and features including tiled floors, windows shutters, wooden beams and crackling log fire, whilst providing all the mod-cons needed for an enjoyable holiday. This includes washer and dryer, small fully fitted kitchen. CD player, radio . Wifi enabled, access available by prior arangement Situated in a quiet street within a minute's walk of the village centre. Can be rented year round. The house has three bedrooms and sleeps up to six people. It is supervised by a knowledgeable British couple - Wendy and Paul Barstow who live in the village. La Garde Freinet, "une ile en foret", is a picturesque hill top Provencal village situated in the Massif des Maures. It is reached by winding roads though cork oaks and chestnut groves. The village is steeped in history, the old fort at the top of the village was reputed to be a Saracen stronghold in the 11th Century.

Notes on accommodation: Each bedroom and bathroom has wall mounted electric heaters. Sitting room also has wood burning log fire. There is also a video/DVD system. The village has an open-air municipal swimming pool which is open in July and August. Outside: Second Floor: Utility area with washer and dryer. secluded and sunny roof terrace with gas BBQ, chairs, table and day bed. Highly recommended is sleeping under the stars! Camping without the inconvenience! Bliss. Utility Room: Utility area with washer . Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: The house will be clean on arrival and should be left as same on departure. Booking Notes:
50% deposit secures reservation. The balance is due 6 weeks prior to start date. Cheques can be in Sterling or Euros. Charges include all utilities. The charge is £550 per week Low Season. High Season - June and Sept is £600 and High Season in July and August is £650 per week.

Changeover Day:
The usual let is for two weeks although single weeks are sometimes available. Weeks run Sunday to Sunday. Arrivals from 5pm and departures before 10am to allow for cleaning - payment is required in euros for this prior to departure. Details will be given.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 100% refund for cancellations more than 60 days before check-in date.
