Apartment in Alte Dos Brejos, Albufeira, Algarve, Portugal - Peaceful Location yet just a 5 minute Walk to the Lively 'Strip' area

A ground floor apartment within a private gated condominium in a quiet location. Near to amenities such as supermarket, coffee shops, tennis and squash courts, health club. There are numerous bars, restaurants and nightlife close by. A short walk to the bus stop will provide access to other parts of Albufeira, local beaches and numerous golf courses within the area. Albufeira also now has its own Marina. The apartment has been beautifully furnished for everyday needs, accommodation comprises of a double bedroom, bathroom with bath/shower, WC and bidet. The kitchen includes a washing machine, dishwasher, oven, fridge/freezer and toaster etc. The living room has pull-out beds for 2, easily makes into a double bed.TV, DVD, radio, dining table for 4. There is air-conditioning/heating, linen and towels. Maid service is provided cleaning sheets and towels will be provided. It is approximately a 30 minute drive from Faro Airport.

Hello, we are David and Maria Cooper and live in Marlow, Buckinghamshire we have three boys. We were introduced to the Algarve about five years ago when we were contemplating buying in Spain and we were told to look at the Algarve before doing so, on arriving we instantly loved it. The people are friendly, the food is amazing and the beaches incredible, miles of golden beaches and blues seas everywhere, there are great sailing and wind surfing opportunities. We knew that this would be a place that we would love to revisit again and again, as we love the outdoor lifestyle. When we travel we love to take our tennis rackets and golf clubs and a number of books for a good relaxing time. Everyone to date has loved their time in out apartment.

Special interest holidays:

Sailing, fishing, walking and diving are all local activities that can be booked locally. Alburfeira has its own Marina where a number of sea excursions will be available. Go-karting for children offered high season. Zoo Marine is very near by and excellent for younger children. Here you will be able to swim with the dolphins. There are a number of water parks in the area where the kids can enjoy a great day of thrills leaving the parents to relax a little. For those of you who love walking and beautiful countryside a trip to the Monchique would be perfect and at the same time visit the rare breeds zoo. Jeep Safaris are another great day out. Coast/Beach:

Surrounded by several spectacular beaches you simply will be spoilt for choice, whether it is long sandy beaches of rocky cliffs all can be easily reached by car. Nearest beach approximately a 5-10 minute drive, or a 20-25 minute walk.

Travel:

Nearest airport is Faro approximately 35 minutes by car. Car hire is highly recommended. Airport transfers can be easily organised cost 35 euros for up to 4 people each way.

Distances:

Albufeira old town is about a 30 minute walk, the "strip" about a 5-10 minute walk. Other towns that can be reached Vilamoura by car within 20 minutes. Lagos about 50 minutes. Faro 35 minutes. Places of interest for children, Zoo Marina, splash parks, local fishing. Historic town of Silves. Local marinas where boats can be chartered/hired for sailing/fishing and water sports. Walking, cycling in the Montchique region.

Notes on accommodation: Two balconies one gated as to provide easy access to pool, secure underground parking, ground floor suitable for families with young children. The apartment has heating and air-conditioning with its location providing easy access for all of the areas golf courses and other sporting / recreational facilities. The Algarve has so much to offer to provide a range of holidays you will simply be spoilt for choice as to what to do. The food is wonderful and still very reasonable price you can have a great meal for 20 euros a head. The wine is splendid and again very reasonable. Bottles can be bought at the supermarket for as little as 2.5 euros. The beaches are spectacular so even in high season if you have a car you can always find a peaceful spot to sunbathe. Tennis can be played locally at the Montechoro Hotel and at the Balai resort courts can be booked for around 9 euros. Outside: Landscaped with plants, lawn gardens with large shared swimming pool and little baby pool. There is plenty of sunbathing area and sunbeds. Lovely views across countryside. Secure condominium with electronic main gates and underground parking. Utility Room: Used as a linen cupboard for towels and cleaning equipment. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and linen are included, weekly clean/linen change. Extra can be arranged to suit requirements. Other: Large entrance hall with beautiful side board providing good storage. There is lots of information stored here on where to go and what to do. Table and chairs are provided for the balcony together with sunloungers that can be used by the pool.

Fantastic apartment

What a great apartment.

It was a perfect distance away from the hustle and bustle of the strip which was certainly not for us !

We loved the peaceful location of the apartment and we enjoyed the walk to some lovely restaurants and the beach.

We got the bus train to the old town which leaves from the strip and on other days we walked right to the end of the strip which leads to a lovely beach. We did get a tuk tuk back up at the end of the afternoon!

The apartment has everything you could ever want we didn't cook but if you wanted to it had everything in it !

Air conditioning was superb but the apartment was lovely and cool anyway and the shutters were great in the bedroom to keep the light out of you wanted a lie in.

The transfers organised through the owner was superb and so was the host that met us at the apartment.

Pool area was great too.

Lovely and quiet.

Great little Italian style cafe around the corner from the apartment very cheap for coffee and cake or breakfast pastry. Also did takeaways.

Super location, equipped with all the amenities you would need.

Very clean and we'll equipped apartment certainly gives that home away feel. Property located in a nice quiet area if you are looking a more relaxed holiday away from it all yet close enough to the nightlife within walking distance if your looking a fun night out.

Loved the pool area, no problems with sunbeds and most days no more than 4 persons at pool side.

Apartment had wifi, TV and great choice of TV channels sky movies etc also a bbq which we made good use of.

Kitchen excellent with dishwasher good cooking facilities etc.

Comfortable enough bed with plenty of storage for clothes.

Communication with host very good with any queries questions replied to promptly.

Overall we had a great holiday and would certainly recommend and would book again.

Lovely apartment with every amenity you would need

The location is away from the hustle and bustle but within walking distance of the main town.

The apartment is spacious and clean, having everything you could possibly need.

"Spot on"

Great location (10 min Strip) but local shops and bars nears by. Really good pool with your own beds. Good working AC that was very quiet. Managed to watch the odd film on Sky Movies and got all the football news on Sky Sports. Would definitely go back again but for a longer time. Any information required was sorted by Dawn the manager. 10/10

i bedroom apartment in montechorro

We had this apartment for 4 weeks recently . As it was long term we asked about the television having English channels .Maria the owner sorted this out for us and it was great with all sports channels and everything we wanted and more . The apartment is a great size with plenty of room with a bonus of being ground floor so it is easy to just go over to the pool area which was mostly empty .The location is very good in a quiet area with lovely little Portuguese bars nearby which are really cheap and friendly [ Joses and a nice Brazilian bar round the corner ].But it is only about a 10 min walk to the strip which at times is bedlam .there is a city bus which goes into the old town at regular intervals which stops almost outside the apartment but it is a nice walk there .There are a number of restaurants at the top of the strip on the way down [ Lluigis and one at the side of chicken and ribs which for 8.5 euros its 3 course with a bottle of wine and coffee ].all in all had a great time and would recommend the apart anytime !!!

Lovely apartment - perfect base, great holiday.

Had a great stay with our family (2 adults, 2 kids) in Aug 2016. The apartment provides everything you could need and is perfectly placed in a quiet location just a short walk down to the strip.

The pool is very quiet and there are sunbeds provided with the apartment.

The apartment is well maintained by Dawn and Elaine, who were very helpful - they also arranged airport transfers to and from Faro for us in advance of our trip.

I would recommend the property to both couples and families and we look forward to returning in the future.
